Var her tre netter på en miniferie. Hotellet ligger veldig godt til, kun noen minutter å gå ned til togstasjonen. Vi var to personer, men fikk et rom med tre enkeltsenger. Billig og bra! Anbefales!

Et helt greit overnattingstilbud til en ok pris meget sentralt i Helsinki. Ikke noe luksus, men når en bestiller et 3 stjerners hotell hotell kan man ikke forvente særlig mere. Bra frokost. Booket taxi tilbake til flyplassen gjennom hotellet, og ble overasket da de hadde avtale om fastpris med drosjene. 10 euro billigere enn motsatt vei.

Det var et kort opphold, men vi er svært fornøyd med hotellet, og kan gjerne tenke oss å komme tilbake ved en senere anledning.

Dette er et slitt gammelt hotell og for de som ikke er ute etter komfor! Det var dog rent på rommet og personalet var hyggelig. Ett+ for at det ligger veldig sentralt, bare ca 4 min. unna f.eks. jernbanestasjonen.

Det var helt ypperlig at jeg fikk rommet tidlig på formiddag; hadde en baby i barnevogna og en stor ryggsekk med meg og var veldig sliten. Jeg skal absolutt bruke dette hotellet ved senere tilfelle også!

Hotellet ligger ca 5 min gange fra Jernbanestasjonen i rolige omgivelser. Kort avstand til buss og trikk og til viktige severdigheter som Kaisanniemiparken, Ateneum, Nasjonalmuseet, regeringsbygningen, operaen, til storkirken, Uspenskikatedralen, salutorget, shopingsentra. Store, flotte rom med meget sentral beliggenhet. Frokosten var bra med mange valgmuligheter! Vi reiste med ei lita jente på ca. 1 år, hotellet tillrettela dette på en utmerket måte. En trivelig opphold, kan absolutt anbefales.

Jag ger bara schematiska ratings på allt på grund av de alvarliga förhållanden jag beskriver nedan. Vid mitt sista uppehåll på hotell Arthur upptäckte jag av en till¨fällighet att delar av ventilationssystemet i taket på badrummet (rum i 6:e våningen) var helt täckta av något slags äckligt tjockt "smuts". Jag bad om att detta smutset skulle avlägsnas […] och det blev gjort och de nedsmutsade delarna såg nu helt annorlunda (och mycket renare) ut. Jag har allt skäl att tro att situationen (som knappast kan vara hälsosam) är likadan på andra rum och att detta måste åtgärdas, är uppenbart. Detta är ett nog så stort jobb, så hotellets motivation för att göra det är nog ganska liten?. För egen dell kommer jag att begära ett rum med rengjort ventilationssystem om jag eventuellt bookar in mig på hotellet nästa gång Hur kommer denna anmälan att behandlas?. We stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. The hotel staff are friendly and very helpful and they speak english which is great! The buffet breakfast is also delicious and we loved it! I can recommend this hotel to everyone :-)

The hotel is in a quiet street, in walking distance from the central station and everything else. The breakfast is nice and the personnel is helpful.

We spent 5 nights here at the start of our European winter vacation. The family room was excellent for us (2 adults and 2 kids 9 & 11). The great location made it easy to explore the city both by foot and tram. The breakfasts were great and we ate in the restaurant for dinner twice. We loved the strawberry and goat cheese salad! Hotel was good on the whole. Night staff were unhelpful and a bit surly. Day staff were much better. Spaces for meal times were at a premium. Too many guests too small a breakfast room. frustrating when everyone is heading out on their tours at the same time. Room was good and access to the hotel was excellent. Easy location for underground train station […] - just outside hotel and only 4 stops away from central station for Stockholm. good location - short walk to the nearest tram stops, metro stop and the city centre. generally everything worked, room was serviced everyday: towels changed, beds made. bed and pillows were ok, but bed linen was not totally satisfactory - had hairs, lints, even a bug was found crawling on it. bedrooms has a minibar (lockable fridge) but no kettle or […] any tea/coffee making set. bathroom is small and compact, but was adequate for my four-night stay. buffet breakfast was served with no extra charge, and there is a wide range of choices from porridge, to meat/dairy to salad. meals are pricey for the quality of food they serve in the hotel restaurant, and very very salty in pasta/meat/fish dishes, but meals are always served with a large jug of water and a few slices of bread (free), and the serving time is quite short - on average 10 minutes wait. the lifts are very small (probably 1m x 1m) and seem to be able to take and complete only one passenger's request at a time. always had to wait for a long time for the lifts to become available, so I took the stairs most of the time. the biggest problem I had was the noise from other passers-by at night Les mer

The hotel staff is incredibly friendly and all speak perfect English!!! The beds are in a weird place though. The window's open IN and right over a bed. If a big wind comes up BE CAREFUL!!! Breakfast is free which is a plus....not much to write home about, but free is free!! 10 minute walk from the Helsinki Cathedral which is spactacular!! 15 minutes […] from the harbor!! Staff was super and most helpful. Everyone from the breakfast staff to the front desk knew every detail. No question was too small. Thanks! Guests were very quiet. Breakfast was super and well done. A lot of tourist had food to their liking. Location is very helpful and at the center of everything. A quick walk to most top tourist areas. Had suitcase […] room and many clean washrooms. Problems were not many but big ones. The staff were loading and unloading at 5am in the center of the hotel. Not fun to wake up so early to metal on metal banging. Room's fridge didn't work even after 3 days of asking to fix it. Bath frame was ripped off and a bit dangerous for kids. Bath drained onto the floor not into the drain and flooded most of the bathroom. Several doors on the dressers where badly broken and ignored. We booked a larger room but it wasn't available and were offered several others. One room was in worse repair of the one we selected. Staff was helpful but the rooms were poor to bad. Location is great, easy 3 minute walk to train station and bus station so convenient for those who take bus 615 from airport. Also easy walk to esplanade, ferries, and Senate Square. (Buffet breakfast was the most American of all the ones we saw on our trip for those who are looking for something like that.)

Wonderful sauna available for additional fee. Good breakfast buffet. Only problem was window was locked closed, and it was hot. The only ventilation was provided by a very small fan, so the room was stuffy and uncomfortable in the heat.

The hotel is a bit old and worn but comfortable. The breakfast spread was amazing. No hassles with chech-in or check-out. Old hair dryer- not too useful. Free wi-fi was good. I would definitely recommend this hotel for budget travels. I stayed only one night though.

close to the Central station (10 minutes on foot with luggage) but little bit far from major shopping and attractions. Tram 3B is nearby, so 1 day pass (12euro including airport transportation) or more days will be useful. Hotel Arthur is a utilitarian hotel, meaning you can go back every evening without dreading it. I had a room on the 7th floor, which was renovated in 2007. So I don't know anything about the other rooms. My room was small (about 8 ft wide# but clean with two comfortable single beds. The bathroom was very nice. Internet worked perfectly but I had to […] pay a fee. The flat-fee-per-stay was what I found most economical. The TV programming was really bad. I found one English speaking channel #BBC Wolrd#, which did not work. I found one German speaking channel #Deutsche Welle#, which did not work. The rest was awful altough the Finnish TV stations seem to broadcast US shows with Finnisch subtitles. The TV aspect ratio was set such that every person on the screen looked a bit short and heavy. Something was going on in the early everning hours on the 8th floor, which sounded like children jumping up and down. I didn't bother to ask because I was never long enough in the room to get annoyed. The two elevators are pretty fast, but small. 3 adults #without luggage) fill the cab well and will feel more comfortable if they are very good friends. The outer doors of the elevators are hinged and do not open automatically. Les mer

This hotel isn't very fancy or modern, but clean, with friendly staff, and cenral location. Internet has to be payer for, but not too expensive. Breakfast optoins quite good.

Centrally located near the train station, not quite what I had expected. A small reception with friendly staff, however the lift is an intresting experience - a solid metal door that you physically open rather than automoated. Upstairs, the corridors were dated and looked like that of a residentioal block and the room was disappointing. Reasonably large […] but the bathroom was not particulalry clean and the decor / furniture was very dated. I would not look to stay in this hotel again. Les mer

This hotel could not be better placed. It's in a quiet road minutes from the main train station (where two airport bus services terminate). Its advertised conference facilities explain the business clientele rather than obvious tourists. And that and it's location undoubtedly account for why it was surprisingly busy for the bitterly cold week in February […] 2012 that I was there. Despite the forecast overnight temperatures of minus 20, once inside you would not have known it was winter. The bedroom was quiet and warm. The buffet breakfast was excellent and the waiting staff there were constantly clearing the tables and refreshing the food. The only dinner I had there was good, and enormous. All the staff were consistently helpful and spoke perfect English. Why then not 4 stars? It is an elderly building and much used, so is a little chipped here and there. Good location, very close to train station/ centre of town. However, my room was absolutely freezing, so much so I had to take the covers off the spare bed and line the window with them. Pillows were so synthetic they produced sparks everytime I moved in the bed (and not in a good way!) Breakfast was quite good, although I had to leave very early one […] morning to get to the airport and, even though they said they'd prepare something for me to take with me, there was nothing there for me when I checked out at 5am. Also, a big aspect for me as a solo female traveller was security. It didn't feel very safe as you can walk straight off the street and take the lift up to any floor you please, you don't have to go through reception. All in all, it was fine for my purposes as I was only there on business, but if you're looking for a nice hotel for a nice weekend, I'd probably give this a miss. Good for groups of students/young travellers though as it's cheap by comparison and Helsinki is strangely lacking in hostels! Les mer

Nothing fancy, no luxury. Old and somewhat workned hallways and public areas. Though large renovation on process, which may change things. If you look for cheap sleeping with clean, standard room then you can consider Arthur. Breakfast is good.
