Kort vei til/fra O'Hare int. flyplass. Utenfor Chicago sentrum, så enkelt å komme seg videre uten å havne i tung trafikk. Koselige og høflige ansatte og Legends sportsbar inkorporert i lobby området for å innta middag og drinker til normal pris. Store og fine rom; litt slitte, men rene. Frokosten var langt over middels med utvidet continental frokost. Fitnessrommet var veldig enkelt, men fikk trent basis. Nabolaget er noe slitent forstads- men virket greit.

Kort vei til t-bane til sentrum og busstopp rett utenfor døren. Parkering i avstengt området under hotellet et pluss.

Hotell valt i utg.pkt pga nær O'Hare-flyplassen. Svært praktisk, to stoppestader frå flyplassen med t-banen (Cumberland). I tillegg lett, rimeleg og kjapt å koma seg med 'blue line' til sentrum av Chicago på same banen. Middels pluss service i skranken på hotellet. Frukost visstnok berre svært lettvint, med 'småkaker' eller liknande. Nytta ikkje dette tilbodet sjølv. Ok reinhald på romma. Var på to forskjellige under opphaldet mitt. Restaurant næraste nabo på eine sida av hotellet, også parkeringsplass knytt til denne, utan at eg fann dette sjenerande. 7 minutts spasertur tek deg til diger supermarknad, der du finn alt du måtte trenga. Også andre småsjapper og ein frisør. 5 minutt til fots til t-banestasjonen. Motorvegen like ved og tidvis flytrafikk over, men gjorde ingenting av betydning. Godt støyisolert.

Rent og pent motell til en rimelig pris når man må bo på en flyplass et døgn. Hyggelig betjening, Spesielt hyggelig sjåfør som gratis beringer deg til og fra O'Hare. Fikk ingen beskjed på forhånd om at frokost var inkludert i prisen før etter at jeg hadde vært ute og spist på Subway i nabohuset:) PS! Er det nødvendig å ha pornokanalen gratis blant alle de andre kanalene? Nødvendig å ha porno på tv-en i det hele tatt?

Hotelet lå kun ca 10 min kjøring fra flyplassen. Vi leide bil, men lett å finne fram til hotel. Toget ned til Down Town stoppet like ved. Kjempe hyggelig betjening både ved skranke og matsal! Selv om hotelet ligger nær stor flyplass, var det lite vi hørte til trafikk og flystøy. Flott svømmebasseng!

"Chicago-South Barrington/non smoking"
The desk clerk at this location displayed excellent customer service skills, but even the room air freshener could not completey diminish the strong cigarette smoke smell in this non smoking room. When I showered the smell seemed to be coming through the bathroom fan. She did offer to move me, but I had been traveling 13 hours with my young grandson […] and had already brought our luggage in and we were completely exhausted. Therefore, although the service was excellent, the room was not and I will probably not return to this location. Les mer
"cheap but not great"
Picked this motel because it was the cheapest. There is a reason why, kind of dingy and run down. I had a no smoking room but it still smelled like smoke May use again but would defiantly prefer something else.

The title says it all. They gave me a different room but I had to move all of my stuff myself. Also, the key to the room didn't work the first night and again the second night.

It took 20 mins. to find my hotel resavaiton when I went to check in. Room was clean. Hotel was in good locaton to get to other things & major roads near there. Only thing that bugged me was there was 1 ice machine for all 3 floors of the hotel. I was able to get one cup of ice. It never seemed to refill.

The hotel itself was decent, clean, and staff was very polite and helpful. For the price, I have no complaints except the elevator was filthy and had an unpleasant odor. Upon arrival, I was approached by a man in the parking lot asking if I would pay for him a room for the night. "Great for the money"
We just wanted a clean, safe, and inexpensive place to stay and we got it! Not bad at all for the money. Hannah was very curteous and even called us in our room a few minutes after we checked in to see if we needed anything.

We had a very good experience at this Red Roof. Very clean and very friendly service. Our sink was a little iffy with the stopper, but we just took it out and left it out and then we were fine. For the price, I'd be tempted to give this 5 stars.

"get what you pay for"
not a bad hotel. was advertised to have a fridge and microwave in room, but when I arrived that was not the case. you had to walk to the lobby to use the microwave. also the free wifi sucked bigtime, would have gotten a better signal standing on the roof with my cell phone than I did in the room with my laptop. the tv channels were very limited and […] mostly sports, which when traveling with a child they aren't really interested in anythig except cartoons. will not stay here again. "My one night stay and Red roof"
Everything was as expected for motel. Only thing is a bunch[7+] of teen kids[mixed girls & boys] were in my adjacent room and a lot of movement of people in/out of the adjacent room was really bothering me. Their TV was loud and banging door really hard to open/shut and I was feeling the vibrations in my room

"Bad Experience"
It was a bad experience. There was not heating one of the coldest nights in Chicago.

Paid a low rate and got what I paid for. Desk clerk had the social skills of an shrew. Had to switch rooms because they couldn't give us rooms on the same floor (traveling with an elderly family member that did not feel safe being far from my room). Had some other issues as well.

Filthy Rooms...Huge Partys on Weekends, Phones, Sheets, Garbage in parking lot in morning. Owner does not care!
I thought the room was a very good value, very clean and nice extras. For the rate I thought everything was outstanding.

Over all my stay was comfortable, I was dissapointed that there were not baby cribs as they were listed in the hotel and I had to have my 7 month old sleep in bed with me which didn't allow me to sleep very well. Otherwise for the monet spent I found it be very nice. I would stay there again.

we were in a smoke room. It was like sleeping inside of a cigar. Next time I will make sure I get a non smoke room
"Red Roof, Hanover Pk, IL - cheap convenience"
What you would expect from a RRI, cheap room, nothing remarkable. The TV worked well, the wifi effective and free, and the room was clean. As such, it was all I wanted in a location that gave me easy access to the northwest suburbs. I've stayed here many times, and will do so again.

My stay at the red roof inn was the best. The staff was really nice and informative. I would stay there again in the future.

"Stay away from this hotel"
Front desk guy had to make room key 3 times & door won't open (it was 10 degree@ midnight. Finally gave us new room & problem continue. Rooms were dirty. Toilet was broke. Bath tub was clog. We had 3 rooms for one night.. We will never go back @ this hotel.. Specially if u travelling with family

"Showing her age"
I've stayed at this hotel several times over the past two years, and each time I notice little things that indicate a need for an overhaul. Tears in the carpet, stains in the shower area, and loud and clanky room heaters are but three items of note. And for some reason I have never been able to get sound on the TNT channel. I was visiting Chicago for 3 days. I encountered unexpected winter storm at the day I had to leave Chicago. I chose this inn because it offered the best deal between Red Roof inns. I like to stay in Red Roof. Well... They had just name of Red Roof. Every cheap price has its own reason why it would be. First of all, I spent almost 1 hour to check […] in because person who was seeing count was not fully understood what she was doing. Second, room was not comfy and secured by neighborhood. Third, bed seats and towels were dirty and lots of hairs. Also, blanket was damaged by cigarette. I would prefer to stay in Red Roof. However, it was not the time which I wanted to remember. Les mer
"Worth the money"
I work in Chicago a few evenings a year and drive to my home in Minneapolis the next morning. This Red Roof Inn is just outside Chicago rush hour traffic and and is a comfortable drive from downtown (40 minutes at 2AM, 2 hours during daylight!). One big wierdness that does not show up on hotels.com: Barrington Road only has exits on the SE (Chicago) […] side: if you are coming from the North, there is no exit!!! This hotel is exactly what you'd expect for the money. One time I got a "non-smoking" room that smelled like an ashtray and they moved me right away. Les mer
"Red Roof Inn Chicago (Hoffman estates)"
Room was clean, but very old. Mattresses were old and uncomfortable. Hole in bedspread and one bed did not have a mattress pad at all. Room smelled funky and bathroom smelled even worse.

Straightforward check in, rooms are standard accomodation, the beds are not very comfortable, but its a good option (low cost for this area) when trying to avoid a snowy commute back to the city!
