"Close to Cedar Point"
This hotel for the price was hard to beat being so close to Cedar Point. We left the park to check in and they said they almost gave our room away which was a little weird. There is definitely a musty smell about the rooms and the ceiling had some cracks with what looked like mold around them. It was comfortable other than that and for one night it […] was pretty decent. I would definitely recommend this Hotel to anyone just staying overnight while going to Cedar Point. Les mer

The air conditioner was not working - the room was horribly hot.
The manager of the motel was very energetic and helpful. He went out of his way to respond to a request I had for a glass of milk. He kindly provided directions and he was definitely the highlight of our stay.
The room was very clean and the hotel is sooo close to the turn for Cedar Point.

Our experience at Econo Lodge North was exactly what we were looking for for our weekend trip to Cedar Point. Besides the Breakers Hotels, which are pretty costly, it is about as close as you can get. We were able to leave the park mid-day to go back to the hotel and swim then return later. The Thirsty Pony restaurant is right across the street and […] was great. The breakfast was crowded, but employees were attending to it the whole time and getting people what they needed. "High cost for a dirty town."
Even though it was close to Cedar Point, if I had to do it again I would have drove a little farther and paid a little less. Hotel was pretty run down and old. Review would have been better if I would have paid a lot less.

The hotel clerks when i arrived were very freindly - however the night clerk was not . She seemed annoyed when we had questions and rolled her eyes and sighed at my daughter for askign a question. Breakfast was good and the hotel room was clean. However the toilet did seem to rock back and forth. Over all for $100.00 it was nto bad
"Cheap, Clean, Good Service"
You get what you pay for. The hotel was clean, outdated, but clean. The service was excellent thought, anything you needed they were on it. Plus, you could tell it was near Cedar Point because there were alot of families staying there so we felt safe.

The hotel itself was not that bad except for the employees. They were not very helpful and extremely rude. The beds felt like rock beds and the pillows were very flat. The people around cedar point were very mean to tourists and very unhelpful in giving directions. The prices were ridiculously high. "Yes, with reservations"
I thought the price was too high for the quality of the room, which smelled strongly of bleach. There were some candy wrappers behind the night stand, some hair in the tub, and a giant spider in the sink. The staff was polite, the breakfast offerings were okay if you go in for sweet stuff but the coffee was too weak. It was 5 miles from where I needed […] to be and for a few bucks under a hundred dollars-which is a lot of money for me. Plus it was rather noisy but that's to be expected when you're practically across the road from the entrance to Cedar Point. Lots of families and kids there so lots of slamming doors and parking lot laughter after 11 p.m. But, what can you expect for a tourist town. I imagine in a different location the same room would have been about half of what we paid. Les mer

We were looking for one night close to Cedar Point and this place delivered that. Very basic hotel with OK beds, not great. The pillows were bad, bring your own, they were nearly flat and the beds aren't particularly comfortable. The pool was OK, the breakfast was OK, not great but for convenience to Cedar Point, this was a good choice. Not many restaurants […] around without going on Rte 250 so finding food is challenging. "Nice"
Stayed at hotel because of convenience to Cedar Point. Very close to shopping and other entertainment. Staff is very courteous. From the front desk to the maid service, this hotel runs and treats there guests like that of a 5 star resort hotel. Will stay next time when planning to go to Cedar Point!
We had a good experience, including the breakfast. Staff was exceptionally pleasant. The toilet wobbled, but functioned okay. All in all, a very pleasant stay. We would stay again.
"cheap stay for cedar point"
Just needed a place to crash between days riding coasters. Not the best place to stay ever, but the owner / manager was super friendly in the morning making the waffles for everyone! Room was clean as it could be, a little dated and there were dead bugs smashed on the bathroom walls...

I enjoyed the two days that I stayed at this hotel the staff was friendly the room was clean the hotel was close to cedar point about 1 mile from the entrance of the park which is the reason i picked this location anyway.my only complaint was that it rained the entire two days that i stayed.and i couldn't ride the famous mean streak rollercoaster, oh […] well maybe next visit. "I LOVE THIS PLACE"
I have been in 200 dollar a night motels that do not have the class, friendliness, and appeal as this Econo Lodge has. The head janitors, pool keepers, kitchen staff and maintenance people are 3 very friendly gentlemen. I learned later that they were the owners. The rooms are Ok, everything is clean but they do have a nasty smell so pack some fabreeze. The people are friendly and check in is quick, Close to Cedar point and the lakefront Downtown.

This hotel is great if you're going to Cedar Point and need a cheap place to stay. I stayed there Sunday before Memorial Day. It's not perfect but rooms were pretty clean and comfy. There is a great bar and restaurant acroos the street and it's just outside the Cedar Point enterance. They even had continental breakfast in the morning. The rate that I had at this Hotel was very reasonable. The staff was very helpful as we checked in very late in the evening. The location of this hotel to Cedar Point is awesome as it's right down the street and one street over you have a mall as well as restaurants. The room was good for the rate that I paid for. The hotel was very convieniently close to cedar point. It has an awesome resturant right across the street that had excellent food but they give you alot and theres no fridge in the room. The walls seemed paper thin and we had people above us up walking around at 4 am. Maybe an upstairs room would be better, and maybe take a loud fan with you. I was very pleased with this hotel. Low cost, very friendly staff, clean rooms. We arrived in town earlier than expected and decided to see if we could check in early before heading into the park. It turned out that we were able to check into adjoining rooms at noon which was great! only downside... Wireless Internet connection was a little patchy with […] low signal. Also, if you have issues with gluten intolerance you should bring you own breakfast. It would have been nice to have some fresh fruit and maybe a hard boiled egg. Les mer

The ;motel was okay. The pool needed a lot of touch-up work; it wasn't too impressive. The rooms had a smell to them. We will return to the motel we went to last year.

Check-in was a breeze. This hotel is totally bare bones. It's close to the park, but since you have to drive to the park even from this location, there is no reason you couldn't stay farther out. There is nothing to do around this area and the hotel is only barely above threshold in terms of cleanliness. The breakfast is also really terrible.

This hotel is a good choice if you are planning on visiting Cedar Point which is just down the road and over the bridge. The location is very convenient to the amusement park and restaurants aren't too far away. The hotel room is a basic hotel room-not many amenities except internet and a separated bathroom sink area. The outdoor pool is behind the […] hotel on the fence line. We didn't use it, so I don't know how nice it is, but everytime we left the hotel we drove right next to it and it looked ok. "Econolodge North-close to cedar point"
It was great! It was the only hotel that was listed on the internet that was cheap and had all good reviews! I was not disappointed at all! The rooms were clean (bathroom floor actually shined) and the rooms were reasonably priced. I would recommend this to anyone. A big bonus was that it is right off the cedar point causeway.

The location of this hotel is VERY convenient for visitors to Cedar Point. The property is somewhat dated, however, and the rooms show some wear and tear. The walls allow some noise through from adjacent rooms, and the shower/toilet plumbing is rather noisy. The continental breakfast was convenient, with lots of choices including juice and coffee, cold/hot […] cereals, waffles, toast -- but no meat or yogurt. Stayed there twice over a long weekend. First time was acceptable. Front desk staff could do no more to help us. Second time we had an obnoxious woman who had a "its my way or the expressway" attitude and and did little to help when we complained about the state of the room. "Best Stay Near Cedar Point Yet"
The past 3 years we have made a trip to Cedar Point. The past 2 years we have stayed at disgusting nasty dirty hotels. For the same price we stayed here this year. What a difference it made in our trip. The location was very close to Cedar Point. Plenty of parking. CLEAN rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. I found this hotel to be very close to the Cedar Point amusement park which was the reason for our stay in Sandusky Ohio. The service of the hotel staff was good. The staff was pleasant and helpful. the continental breakfast was okay. It was just as advertised, a continental breakfast. No more, no less. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Much as […] you would expect for the reasonable rates. The hotel is near a TGIF Fridays and another pub the Thirsty Pony, both of which had good meals available. Our stay consisted of spending the day at the amusement park and coming back to the hotel for a brief respite in the middle of the day, and then sleeping at night and returning the to park in the mornings. Hotel was in a perfect location for this itinerary. Would recommend for the location and rates. Les mer
"Not happy with this one."
The staff is very unfriendly and rather rude. The front desk lady acted like we were wasting her time even being there. The breakfast worker guy was a little bit of a jerk, as if taking a bagel was a big problem for him. I just wasn't a big fan of the staff. Plus the tub felt like it was going to fall through the floor, I don't know if they didn't support […] it or not, it was pretty scary. It was fairly close to Cedar Point though, but definately not worth the money or the attitude. The Thirsty Pony across the street was a blast though. The Econolodge in Sandusky Ohio was conveniently located to Cedar Point. The beds were very comfortable. The only complaint I have was the terrible stench that hit you in the face when you entered the room. The room was very hot because the air conditioner had not been turned on and I think this made it worse. We turned on the air conditioner full blast […] and it worked very well-maybe a little too well. It cooled the room down quickly but leaked water all over the floor. It was soppy wet. I believe this was the cause of the odor in the room-perhaps the carpet rotting on the floor and continually being wet. I don't think I would stay there again. Les mer
