This motel was the cleanest, best value of all the motels we stayed in (11 consecutive nights) We stayed in more expensive places, newer places, quieter places - but overall, this stay had the most courteous staff, the best breakfast, and appearance, including newer carpet and paint. "Nice for the price - but pet owners are a problem"
I liked most everything about this hotel for the price(service, cleanliness, location). Except one big thing - pet owners and their barking dogs (left alone in their room). Pet owners should all be placed in a seperate section, located remotely from all other guests. The room across from me had a dog that barked and scratched continuously on the door. "Old but well maintained"
The hotel is obviously old. The lobby is very small and is also used for the morning breakfast, Only 3 tables. Desk clerk was young and inexperienced, not very helpfull. However, it is one of the better Choices in Tumcari.

The room was clean and well put together. It is an older property, so it is well used and a little tired. That said, just fine for a place to spend the night. No issues of any kind.

Very affordable and very nice, Much better than I had been expecting. The hotel.com operator said ahead of time that it would be much better than the 2 star rating. Great nights sleep.
"Just a one night stopover place"
This is a pretty 'bare bones' place with no real ammentities. Our non-smoking room was on the second floor--no elevators for us older folks. The halls and even the room smelled quite strongly of cigarette smoke. It was an ok place for a one night stopover on our trip to OH.

"A pleasant surprise"
We travel a lot and were reluctant to stay here because of past problems with this hotel chain. We only gave it a chance because of the reviews on this site, and we're glad we did. It was one of the cleanest and most comfortable motels we have stayed at in a long time and for sure it was the least expensive. Our only complaint is that the soda machine […] was out of order, but we just went across the street to a gas station/convenience store. If we travel this way again we will definitely stay here. "1 night pass through stay. It was ok."
The location was very convenient off of I-40. The check in person was friendly and the room was very clean, but not very cool. Cranked up the air as high and as cold as it would go, but it took all night to cool the room making for uncomfortable needed rest before a long days drive the next day. Waking up to doors slamming and motorcycles revving up […] at 5 am was not pleasing either, but not the hotels fault there. Les mer

I would recommend the Days Inn in Tucumcari. The price was great for a nights rest, it was close to the interstate & gas station. Plus you could walk to LotaBurger and get a green chili burger :)

I walked in and my room key and check-in was already complete so I spent less than a minute in the office before I was heading to my room. The hotel is a bit older so I wasn't expecting anything top of the line. The cost was good and the room was nice in cool, and on a day where the temp exceded the 100 degree mark, that was a must! The hotel was right […] off the interstate and located next to several places to eat and fuel up. Like I said, not top of the line, but well worth the money and the staff was great. We had a lovely stay there in the Days Inn. Everything is close by stores, gas, etc.
room was very clean. Accommodations were adequate. Parking was minimal. Continential breakfast was nice. Yes, we would stay there again

On the outside, I was concerned with this spot. We were staying for one night on our way to the Grand Canyon. What a nice place. The front desk clerk started us off with her friendliness and our room was very nice. Staff again very helpful with local info and I would highly recommend this hotel.

The room itself offered all that was expected and, an important element for us, the bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. The non-smoking room given to us first was on the 2nd floor but the staircase leading to it as well as the hallway had a strong smell of cigarettes. It was intolerable for us although it was ok inside our room. The attendant […] found an available room on the 1st floor besides the main office off the stairway going upstairs. We preferred the noise of the door leading to the stairway opening & closing to the strong odor of cigarette. We appreciated the quality of the breakfast . In my opinion, non smoking rooms should only be on the 1st floor and smoking ones on the 2nd floor since odors will necessary rise. Les mer

there are four hotels within one block of each other. these tend to be better rated. the price was not any better thru hotel.com than if i was driving by and stopped in...that was a disappointment. not much to eat around unless you love fast food. the internet had the slowest connection, if any had all, maybe thats why they advertise that it is free. […] it is an older days inn and has been remodeled but still has that old feel. the continential breakfast is a joke-literally cinnamon buns pulled from a hostess box and the eggs looked non-edible-however there was a mcdonalds just 50feet across the street. hope ya"ll like it! We were pleased with our room at this motel, and there was nothing at all to complain about. We had stayed here years ago, and it's improved since then. There had been some renovating and it definitely was cleaner. It's not fancy, but it sure is a clean room and comfortable room for the price. Also, if you love Mexican food there is a restaurant on […] main st., don't know the name of the street, called Del's that is wonderful! Les mer

"decent deal"
this place was pretty comfortable and clean inside, and my room was fairly spacious. Also, my king bed was surprisingly comfortable and came with 5 pillows which was great! Outside it was nothing special of course but its not horrible looking, and the surrounding area is just a quiet small town. Warning....surrounding restaurants, even the McDs across […] the street close early, at least early by my standards....11pm. There is a gas station right across the street which is convenient and this place is RIGHT off the 40 exit 332. Also, decent continental breakfast! I would say the place could have cost a LITTLE less on hotels.com, maybe about $5 less, but overall good deal. Les mer

"A bargain to stay."
We checked in on a cold night the end of January. The room had a window unit that provided heat and very soon our room was toasty warm. Our room was very clean and the beds were really comfortable. This is a bargain and we will stay here again.
Staff and management was great. Rooms were clean, simple, and adequate. Nice big table for working, eating a meal. Tucumcari is in the middle of nowhere. If you MUST stop in Tucumcari, this place is right by the 40, has a professional, accomodating staff, and is a great value.
The manager lady loaned me her own personal computer so I could plan the rest of my trip. I thought this was excellent service above and beyond the expected !
