Aqua Palms Waikiki - Honolulu

2nd time in Hawaii but 1st time at the Aqua Palms. Perfect location 2 beach and shopping.. Would recommend 2 othres 4 sure...

We stayed at the Aqua palms for 6 nights and have only good things to say. The location is pretty much spot on. It is close to shoppingmals, the city centre and the beach. If you go through the hilton resort cross the street, you will come straight out on a beautifull beach. I personally think this is the nicest stretch on the wakiki beach. The room […] we had(11 floor facing the hilton) was spaceious and comfortable. The furniture was modern and the view perfect. The bathroom was a bit small, but noe big problem. It was tidy and clen. The bed is a bit hard, but no big problem. The ac worked great, and keept the room cool and comfortable. There is cable for Internett, but did not use this. There is not wireless in the rooms, but it is in the lobby. If there is anything at all to point out, it is that the noise from the street can be quite enoying if you are a light sleeper. Les mer

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Appreciate the hotel having complimentary coffee, apples and water in the hotel lobby. LAN was provided for easy log on to internet in the room. The hotel is near to Ala Moana Center and Waikiki.

I stayed here for 4 nights. Quite a good budget option in a decent location but if I ever go to that island of Hawaii again I might try to stay closer to the beach. However, this hotel was fine as a place to sleep and was pretty convenient. The beach and main strip were just a short walk away, and the big shopping mall was not far in the other direction. […] Hotel service was good and there is an activity desk in the lobby for booking tours etc. The room was comfortable enough but nothing special. If I stayed here again (not sure if I would but then again I might) I would make sure I had a room with a balcony. I had a lovely view but a balcony would have allowed me to enjoy it more. The big bonus of this hotel for me was the free internet in rooms and free wifi in the lobby. I didn't bother with the free breakfast as it is served in the neighbouring iHop restaurant. I went there once and paid for a breakfast meal (pancakes and a 'gourmet' coffee) and it was undoubtedly the worst food I have ever had. Even thugh I was ravenously hungry I couldn't eat more than a few bites/take more than a couple of sips. However there are plenty of breakfast options in the area. All in all it was not a bad place to stay, and I would recommend it for people who are looking for primarily a place to sleep and keep their stuff secure while going to the beach/sightseeing/shopping. Incredible resort. Housekeeping/massage service was very satisfying. Fitness room is state of the art. The pool is climate controlled and great for a midnight skinny dip. Fantastic firework show right across the street.. Lots of entertaining street performers and other readily available services within short distances of the hotel. Relaxed atmosphere […] that makes the guest feel relaxed and free to take advantage of all that Waikiki has to offer. I would highly recommend this hotel to any single person or couples that wish to sow their oats, let their hair down, and explore new experiences. The only negative thing I would have to say is that the IHOP is really lousy and way over priced. There are several other choices in the immediate area for dining including the Hilton which is very reasonably priced and located right on the beach. There is also another restaurant that is on top of a building and makes really good grilled cheese sandwiches. If you go to most places in Waikiki and tell them that's your birthday you will eat for free(they might ask for ID if you say both you and your parterner have the same birthday, so you might want to walk in and sit at seperate tables. Nearby just about everything we wanted to see.

We are from the outer islands and loved the Aqua Palms and Spa. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful. Our room was so clean, comfortable and we enjoyed our stay thanks to this hotel. I would recommend this to our friends needing a place to stay on Oahu. Thanks hotel.com for including this in our choices for we pick this one as our number […] one for the inexpensive rate without sacrificing comfort, cleanliness and the Aloha spirit from the staff. Originally booked a partial ocean view room but when we arrived there were none of these available (yet had payed for one). We were offered some breakfast vouchers in lieu of this but found this a fairly pathetic compromise as they were for the restaurant attached to the hotel which is dreadful. We ate there once and never went back. So, check carefully […] which room you pay for and which you actually get allocated as you might get ripped off like we did. It is a basic hotel, clean and ok apart from this but not really in the heart of the action. Do not expect great service here either. Les mer

Room was relatively small..... but we were there only for couple of days and stayed outside most of the time so did not matter much.....

This hotel was pretty close to everything. Not on the beach but right next to the IHOP. It needs a little painting in the hallways. Friendly staff. $20 a day for parking for parking your car. If you are not spending much time in hotel it is a nice place to stay. Great for price.

I am a resident of the Big Island and I travel to Honolulu often for business. I was very pleased with the combination of location (easy walk to Ala Moana Center), price, and quality at this hotel. I would stay there again.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were super friendly. My room was comfortable and had everything I needed. The only downside was there was only wired internet in the room - no free wireless. The concierge was bubbly and full of good ideas for guests. The hotel was a short walk to the marina and the beach and on the main bus route.

The rooms were small and the floors were uneven as well as the doors. Location was good.

Location is excellent, close to Kawiki beach, shopping and restaurants. The price is very good considering the location. Bus- and trolley stop just across the street. It is a simple hotel but good value for money.

Aqua Palms Hotel and Spa is in the heart of everywhere we wanted to be. Short walk to beach, Ala Moana mall. Hotel was clean and staff friendly. I-Hop next door, and another restaurant next to that with others across the street. Only down side in our opinion was the tight space in parking garage. A smart value hotel on Waikiki. Location is great and the hotel is convenient to everthing along the beach. Good value for the buck.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. It had everything I needed with great service and in a great location. It's hard to find a low costing hotel that is actually clean, with good amenities and great service and that's exactly what I found with this hotel. It's in a great location and I will definitely stay here again.

This is a good budget hotel, clean smoke free and comfortable. The only reason why we would not stay again was because of the ongoing road construction out front. There is not a inhouse bar or restaurant so you need to leave the hotel. location is a bit of a walk from Waikiki entertainment area.

Stayed mid-October. Staff were always pleasant, allowed me to check in reasonably early (appreciated after a long flight) and did everything asked with a smile on their face. Definitely staying there next time through

The Aqua Palms and Spa is always a great hotel. The beds are amazingly comfortable and the rooms are always clean. You really get everything in the room for a great price: microwave, tv that works with great channels, refrigerator, and coffee maker. If you walk out the front of a hotel, an Ihop is right to your left, and if you continue with the crowd […] in that direction, you hit Waikiki, or go the other way and make it to the Ala Moana Mall. Both are less than a mile away, and it saves you from being kept up all night from car and tourist noise. I was only unhappy this time, because they refused to make any effort to get my room ready before my business meeting, leaving me to change clothes in the lobby and not get to check in until after 9pm. They even gave me a hard time trying to park my car, not wanting to open the gate for me the first time. But, the front night staff for the night didn't really understand English...I never have a problem during the day when I need to park the car before check-in...just a little hint to make it easier, because after the first time you can let yourself into the parking garage. So, if you have a business meeting that will require driving a bit of a distance, I recommend you check-in the afternoon before. Regardless of that one problem, which did upset me a lot, the rooms are always great and the noise level from the rooms is low. You will be happy! Les mer

Perfect location for everything. Easy access to the beach and any sightseeing in Waikiki. The Front desk people were very friendly as were the baggage desk. Our return taxi was booked without any fuss. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone wanting an inexpensive room and friendly service.

The Aqua Palms & Spa location is just great. It is just a short walk to the Ala Moana Mall. But if you do not like the stroll it is right on the Pink trolley line route. The pink trolley goes everywhere you would ever want to go. From shopping to the beach. This hotel is located across the street from the Sheridan Resort and is just minutes away from […] the beach. The rooms were comfortable and the well maintained. It is a great value. Les mer

The Aqua Palms and Spa is a great hotel. I've never had any problems. It's always really clean, and the rooms are never disappointing. It's a good, short walk to Waikiki Beach, and there's much to see on that walk. If you want to go to the Ala Moana Mall, it's a short walk in the other direction, where you pass many sights again. There's a great Ihop […] right next door, a good coffee house on the corner, and an ABC store right around the corner from that, without crossing the street. Parking can be tricky, so smaller cars are best, but that's the least of your problems! I would recommend this hotel to anyone. The prices are great and you get so much for them. Les mer

We stayed at Aqua Palms and Spa for one night in September during our Hawaiian vacation. We wanted to spend one night in downtown Honolulu and after reading reviews, we picked Aqua Palms and Spa. We arrived in Honolulu and went to the hotel right from the airport in our rental car. When we arrived, it was about 12pm. I had been sick and really wanted […] our room to be ready so I could sleep. My husband and I went to check in (it was just the two of us). We had reserved a city view room. The front desk clerk greeted us and asked us about our flight. She informed us that our room was in fact ready. She gave us our parking pass for our car and we were up to our room within five minutes. She also informed us we got a discount at IHOP and a coffee shop which is located next to the hotel. The view of the room was great of downtown. There was a tiny balcony you could step out on. It was on the smaller side of a hotel room, but it was very clean. There were plenty of towels and free toiletries in the bathroom. Also a guide book for Honolulu in the room. There was also a free postcard in the room. King size bed was comfortable. The fake sand on the wall for decor was highly entertaining. It was a very bright, well lit room. The bed was pushed up right against the wall on one side, so if its not easy for one of you to climb over this may be a problem. The couch was comfortable in the room. Plenty of bathroom space and a microwave and mini-frig with plenty of counter space about the frig. It was very roomy overall. As for the location, it is right across the street from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. There is also a Mcdonalds, Aloha sushi, crazy shirts, abc stores, and plenty of other stores and restaurants within walking distance a few blocks around. Parking was in the garage underneath the hotel. Big hills in parking garage, but seemed very safe. The elevators of the hotel were a bit slow though. I have been staying at Aqua Palms since 2008 when I travel to Oahu, and have been very happy. But this stay while coming back from Asia was very disappointing. To my phone not working to a pair of someones underwear being left on the floor. I am not sure I will stay again, at this hotel which I have enjoyed for so many years.

The hotel is about a 1/2 mile from the main Waikiki strip - on the far side of the Hilton. This Diamond Head view room had the promised view, as well as a partial water view. The street is a bit noisy, even at night, but being from NYC it did not bother us. Room had a balcony, microwave, fridge, and coffeemaker - all in good condition. The pull out […] sofa was in terrible condition, but the bed was comfortable. Parking is $20 daily. Do not eat at the attached IHOP - it was not good (surprising) and ran a whopping $66 (without tip) for a simple pancake b'fast for 3 because they never told us that iced coffee ran nearly $5 each (more than Starbucks!!!!!) - try the diner at the end of the block instead. The Ala Moana mall was three blocks away - try the Pineapple Room in the mall for a terrific, though pricey meal - ($220 for 3 without tip) worth every penny! Les mer

The price and location are the best thing about this hotel as it is located across the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The hotel is clean after being remodeled some years ago. However don't expect any trills. The halls and room are narrow and space is a premium. I found my self having to turn in place to move around the tiny bar with coffee pot, refrigerator […] and microwave. I'm only 5'10" and in this place that's a giant. No continental breakfast here, and pick your newspaper up in the lobby. Pool is small, as is the workout room but at least they have them. Les mer

Hotel is great, friendly, full of Aloha :) just be aware the state is working on the road at night, and stay in the rooms facing away from the street. The noise of those pavement breakers was awful until we changed the room facing away from Waikiki. Oh-- beware the daily parking fee.

We found the Aqua Palms a very pleasant place to stay. Rooms are a little small but clean and comfortable. There was a microwave & small fridge in ours which was nice. Good place to stay would recommend. Good value on price too!

The room looked fairly new, nice bed, nice colors and awesome shower. The staff was friendly and helpful. i would definitely recommend it to others.

Considering the location, this is an excellent value. Close to the beach and across the street from the Hilton where you would pay 3 to 4 times as much. Hallways seem dark and dingy, but rooms were clean and nice. Not much for amenities, but a good place to sleep.

We only stayed one night due to a flight delay from Australia and the cheaper Internet booked room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and disappointed we were not staying longer. If we were staying longer I would request a room with a lanai.Very happy with short stay.

Lovely staff, very clean and nice room. Very noisy location, but close to everything. All I can fault is that the bathroom was extremely small. But would definitely stay there again.

Room was clean and everything we expect. Breakfast is not included and even though the hotel has Internet access in room, there is no wifi.

If you look for a fair price hotel in Honolulu, the room really comfort, quiet, and clean, it's value to stay. But the room really small.
