Staff excellent. We had a room in the new wing which was very modern , spacious and clean. Always a bonus having free wifi in the room, definite plus. Spa disappointing as small and only one therapist so unable to have any treatments which is why we chose this hotel. Best hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks in Spain. Rooms were spotless, staff friendly, location was ok and downstairs spa area was fantastic after a day of sightseeing. A number of nice touches (free cocktail on first night in the bar, a cold beer & prosciutto rather than chocolates next to your bed at night) all made for a memorable experience. A […] little bit more expensive than other places but I guess you get what you pay for. Situated on the main street although at the other end from the old town and major sites meaning 10 minute walk past all the shops to get to the tourist areas, but my wife and 2 teenage daughters thought that was great as well. Definitly recommend Granada and this hotel as part of your Spain visit. Les mer

Beautiful grounds, nice rooms. Stay in the "old" building if possible and enjoy the spa and healthful food restaurant.

A pleasant place to stay, nice spacious rooms, high ceiling, very comfortable bed, lots of outlets to plug your appliances, superb breakfast, nice big bathroom with separate bath and shower. Very satisfying experience

The hotel staff treated us like royalty. They could not do enough for you. Unlike most hotels their breakfast was good and very reasonably priced. The hotel is very elegant!

Very pretty as architecture goes. Comfort and common sense are another thing. Rooms and bathrooms are not that practical for a family vacation. Little privacy in the bathrooms..breakfast when included is ok, but you get charged extra for eggs.

Our stay was excellent at this very modern hotel (one side is ultra modern and the other is traditional) styled in black and white with white marble, glass closet doors, white sheer room fabric room dividers, and ultra sleek bath and shower. We arrived very early after a rough overnight train ride and were given a room immediately for which we were […] very grateful. The breakfast was very good and served in a sleek dining room or on the patio next to the water pools. Our luggage was graciously stored until our evening train. I would highly recommend this hotel. The hotel was really nice,staff were excellent. Breakfast was also excellent. There was no iron and ironing board in the room. This is common in Spain but many hotels in the world do have them to save guests the trouble of getting them. The biggest drawback was the very poor lighting in the room making it impossible to read a book after dark. Staff […] supplied a reading lamp but this was also hopeless. Les mer

Never expected such a great hotel. Super service, friendly people, great breakfast and wonderful room. Only minor point was that the bar closes at 2300 already. But enough to do just outside the hotel.

Fabulous hotel in a central location in Granda . Very pleasant staff and facilities and rooms were first class . We stayed for our 25th wedding anniversary and woukd definitely stay again.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were all extremely friendly. English speaking staff were available at all times. The restaurant food was excellent, and reasonably priced, as was room service. I had free wifi access, which worked reliably. Loved the location of this hotel. The people could not of been nicer and helpful. The strike was going on but I felt completely safe at all times. I was first put in the new part of the hotel but asked to be in the older Palacio. They upgraded my room with no problems and happy to add an extra night to my stay. LOVED the garden for a drink.

Everyting was amazing and the staff were very attentive and helpful. Food was superb and thoroughly reccomend. Only downside was neighbouring streets were noisy in the nights, due to central location.

This hotel is my no means a 5 star hotel, a waste of good money. Hotels is basic in amenities and comfort. Very noisy within, seems as if interior walls are thin because you hear people walking above you< doors banging etc. The only plus is the location which is in the heart of the shopping area.

We were delighted when we arrived at Palacio de Los Patos. We were in the old part of the hotel which would originally have been in the eves of the roof, with gorgeous old window frames, all now double glazed to keep out the sounds of noisy Spaniards & tourists at night! The hotel itself is really lovely & a haven to come back to at any time. The staff […] were all very friendly & helpful with recommendations for anything you wish to do whilst in Granada. It's a great location & we could walk to pretty much anywhere we wished to go - within a 5-10 minute walking radius you have fantastic shopping, landmarks, restaurants, bars, tapas, cathedrals, museums, etc.... Also, a fantastic spa in the hotel called Bodyna - thank you Marta for our wonderful treatments!! Les mer

The hotel was absolutely beautiful and was in a great location. The breakfast that was included in the hotel was very good, but service at the restaurant was poor (they didn't have enough waitstaff when it got busy around 9am).

Have stayed in The Hospes in Cordoba and found the chain extremely stylish. The Hospes in Granada is exactly as expected, stylish with very helpful friendly staff. They seemed to know the area and were able to advise where to go including small picturesque villages outside of town. They say that they have a swimming pool but this is really a plunge […] pool in their spa area so a little misleading. Breakfast was equally sylish with the presentation of the food and eggs came included and freshly made any way you need. Super deluxe rooms are available but at a price and the Dreamer rooms are perfect without being over priced. Television has channels in spanish, french and also 4 channels in english which is a real bonus, and we were given free wireless internet which was a further bonus. My 2 teenage children came with and they were equally happy. Les mer

My husband and I had a great time staying in this hotel. The people at the desk were incredible especially Marcos who was very nice and so professional. We love the room and service was impeccable. We not only will go back to stay there but recommend it to anyone who happens to go to Granada.

Beware the new wing where the noise in the early hours of the morning can be a nuisance. The front desk moved us for the second night into the quieter old wing. The concierge were very good on their recommendations for restaurants. Apart from the noise a delightful stay.

It was quite a suprise to walk through th iron gates of a 19th century palace into a high chic boutique hotel with no pretense ,just great friendly service , comfort and beauty.The location is perfect , every thing walkable but just out of the high traffic zone.Highly recommended

The hotel rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant has a limited but well-conceived menu, wirh an excellent wine list and well-prepared meals. Service in the restaurant and elsewhere is friendly and efficient. The hotel location is central but the noise of the streets did not penetrate the rooms.

This is a lovely hotel very close to the centre of town. The room was large, modern and comfortable with good air conditioning. But I never understand why some top, modern hotels can't manage to provide a proper dressing table/desk area with lights, mirror & power point. We were surprised at what we thought was the excessive charge for breakfasts and […] wish we had known that in advance or had the opportunity to have an inclusive rate. The dining room was little used in the evenings as it didn't open until 9.30 and there was no external notice that there was a hotel or restaurant there so the only diners were the hotel guests who didn't want to eat elsewhere. We wanted to play cards when we returned from our meal out and needed a normal height table. The staff told us that we couldn't use the dining room when it was closed, although it was accessible and all we needed was to have the lights on, and we couldn't use it when it was open as all the tables were needed for possible diners, even when the whole room was empty. We were once allowed to use a table for a short while but at other times were just directed to other areas with low coffee tables. Although there was a small high table in our room, there was only one normal height chair and the table was in the darkest part of the room (see comments re dressing table/desk!) The staff weren't interested in us, although they were helpful enough when we had a specific request, such as ordering taxis. Les mer

This hotel was extremely uncomfortable in every respect. The bathroom had no place to put your clothes, the bath was an upright and uncomfortable cube, you could not relax in it, there were no tissues, no face cloths in the bath room,- the glass door in loo and bathroom crashed against each other. There were no comfortable outside seats to sit on in […] the sun. The dining room was bare and austere. The lights ( chandeliers ) were modern and were of poor and cheap looking design. We were very pleased with our recent trip to Granada and our stay at the Hospes Palacio de los Platos. The conceirge was always there for us. When we wanted help with local restaurants or sightseeing they gave us recommendations and they all were good ones. The hotel was very clean and the room was clean and spacious. We had a wonderful experience in this hotel. The staff is marvelous - courteous, friendly and helpful. Location at the center of the city is perfect. Breakfast is very good. When I return to Granada I will definitely stay there. The only disadvantage is the small garage which makes maneuvering to get in and out of the parking space difficult .

Very impressive hotel, located right in ther centre of Granada. The room was lovely as were the staff. I have only two criticisms of the hotel. I thought the breakfast, if it is not part of your rate is very expensive (although the breakfast itself is good). Also, the pool in the spa was cold. I am not sure if that was deliberate because the outside […] air temperature was nearly 40C. However, overrall this is a very nice place to stay. We would certainlt consider Hospes hotels again. The hotel was spacious and quite nice, but the amenities were a bit less than expected. The pool was really a big hot tub and wasn't even in service during our stay. However, we had dinner at the restaurant, and it was quite delicious. We would have preferred to stay in the older, more historic part of the hotel, but those rooms weren't available. A very pleasant and enjoyable visit to the Palacio de los Patos the staff were extremely helpful and the service was impecable. The lovely outside space was a real oasis of calm and coolness in the heat of the city. I would definately recommend this hotel to someone visiting Granada. Location is great being just a short walk from the centre of town. Very difficult to find the hotel and parking - parking is signposted most of the way, and then you have to turn up what looks like a deadend street to find it. Inside - the two building (old and new parts) make it initially confusing to navigate from the new part (where we stayed) and reception - we did get lost a few times. The hotel room was clean […] - but modern and clinical in feel. The glass walls meant that privacy was at a minimum although curtains can drawn. We only used the restaurant once - for breakfast - the music was non-descript and more suited to a chillout room in a nightclub. El hotel genial en todos sus aspectos, hacer mención al personal, un 10. es de los 5 estrellas que he estado que no hay que quitarle nada, desayuno excelente. solo un pero, el Spa, le tendrían que llamar bañera grande o piscina pequeña con sauna y baño turco. de los peores que he estado.
