Disney's Coronado Springs Resort - Lake Buena Vista

Room AC needs work; humidity problem. Housekeeping could have been better. A basic place to shower and sleep. 2.5 to 3 stars out of 5.

The hotel was great, we requested room near bus stop, this made it easier to get on and off bus when going to all 4 Disney theme Parks as well as Downtown Disney. The pool was also great, my 3 year old loved going down the slide.

hotel room was gloomy and dark. Balcony was not private , but a thoroughfare. outside is dirty and need painting

My husband and I stayed at the Coronado Springs Hotel when I attended a conference that was held at the Swan and Dolphin. I was so glad I chose to stay at Coronado Springs. We stayed in the Cabanas and the hotel was running a surprise, special Concierge Service. There was a lounge right near out room where hotel "hosts and hostesses" pampered us with […] complimentary continental breakfast, snacks and beverages all day and wine and cheese and crackers, etc. in the evening. All staff was extremely helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. The pools were beautifully maintained, the gym had all new equipment although it was a bit small. A nice touch was the availability of hammocks on a sand beach by the water- so relaxing. The grounds were beautiful, the meal at the Pepper Market Restaurant was first rate although the choices are limited. When I went over to the Swan and Dolphin for my conference, I was hyper-stimulated by the glitz and all the activity. I was so glad to go back to the Coronado at the end of the day! We asked for a quiet room and it was extremely quiet and overlooked a beautiful pond. A nice element that seems somewhat unique to this hotel is that they have a pool geared towards children and then some lovely pools that are pretty much reserved for adults. The only drawback to someone who might be attending a conference is that it takes ~ 30 minutes to get over to some of the other hotels using free Disney transportation, but we had a car so it was only a 5 minute trip. Coronado Springs has a great location close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios - waits for the bus were faily quick and rides were short. Room was nice, clean and comfortable. I will say our view/location was not the beat, looking out at the parking lot and right next to a bank of hvac fans alwaya droning. We were rarely in the room so it didn't matter […] for us. The grounds are very nice, and a walk around the lake is refreshing. The gift shop is one of the better ones among the moderates. Les mer

The hotel description was wonderful. In actuality it was a motel 6 with bad decorations.

The Coronado is huge and is generally a reasonable hotel. Some members of the staff had an attitude problem. The worst thing was the food. Simply not of high quality. They favor quantity over quality and the service is very slow. We felt trapped without a vehicle. It is best to have a car so that you could go outside of the confines and eat better food […] at more reasonable prices. Les mer

The kids loved the pool. Rooms were dated and smelled musky, but I guess that's what you get in an older hotel.

Awesome, three nights, friendly atmosphere and the very best is they will do the airline check in for you...so, no need to check in your luggage at the airport...hazzle free...love it, definitely will be back to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.. Keep it up guys...

My family and I stayed here the week before Christmas, and we had a pretty great experience. Staff was friendly and courteous, housekeeping was very attentive. There were no upgrades available, so we were stuck with a queen bed. Be warned though- this is not a traditional hotel with indoor hallways- the rooms are all motel-style, so when you leave your […] room you go straight outdoors. All of the economy and mid-level resorts are this way. Rooms inside are nice though, definitely higher than motel quality. The resort has a pretty decent bus system- we were in the Ranchos, 7b, and we had a 30 second walk to the bus stop, which was nice. Unless you are doing something at the convention area, don't pay extra for the preferred rooms, you are really just throwing away money to be closer to the convention area. Be warned about the bus though- the bus picks up at 4 first, then 3, 2, and then 1. So if you are waiting at stop 1 on a crowded day, you will probably be standing for the bus ride to Dworld (which can be a good 20 minutes). However, most of the time the buses are not very full and there is plenty of room to sit down (this is not true when the park is extremely crowded, like around 4th of July or Christmas). Last thing- buses usually run every 15 mins or so, we never waited more than 15 mins for a bus, and if you wait longer than that, there is a phone at the bus stop you can use to call for the bus you need. Overall, I do highly recommend this resort- it is huge, beautiful, and nicely kept. Price is pretty decent as well, esp. in off season. Les mer

We liked the stay and the property but I didnt get the view I paid for. I paid extra for a good view and they were "sold out". They did give a mere $25 credit. I would prefer a better view since thats what I paid for instead of $25 credit. I had no choice. BEWARE!!! Disney seems to be setting a trend in not providing what we book, so be insistent and […] stand up for yourself :-) They tried this same trick at the Swan resort and I had to complain and then they gave me the resort view with balcony. Prior to that, they put me in the back with the balcony covered by a tree so we couldnt see much. Les mer

Pleasant staff, clean room but very old and out dated. "Water view" was highly misleading. There was a pool visible outside the room when you leaned around a concrete wall.

The room was VERY small, VERY overpriced -- and handicapped - which I did not ask for. There were 2 adults in the room, and 1 chair. The room was VERY dark, which made it very difficult to get enough light to put on makeup. It was also sorta depressing. The ONE nice thing about it was it was next to the pool. We booked the room through hotels.com at what we think was a great rate for a moderate Disney Hotel. You can get a lower rate outside Disney, but we think that the extra amount is worth it for the following reasons: 1. On site transportation, as advertised we waited no more than 20 min for a bus, that way Dad gets a break from driving, 2. The Disney […] Company really does try to make your stay great. Air Canada lost one of our suitcases, but right off the bat it was Disney that helped us out with some items to tide us over until we got the bag. On the other hand Air Canada just wanted to question us to see if we somehow messed up tagging the bags, something that they did. 3. The room and service was great, a couple of times we were late getting out of the room and the cleaning staff were polite and quickly adjusted their schedule. 4. The room was clean and well maintained. 5. Food is expensive, but by having breakfast in the room with food from the nearby Dixie-Wynn we offset some of those expenses. Overall a great stay Les mer

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort provides easy access to all the theme parks and has great ambience to boot! The beautiful main pool with water slide, hot tub, snack bar, playground, volley ball court and more is fun for all ages and managed in the true Disney fashion (e.g. movie night at the pool, etc.) A diversity of restaurants is available, including […] a great buffet (great for the kids) and slightly more upscale setting. Situated on several beautiful ponds, the hotel provides a lovely setting and is fun to stroll. All in all, a wonderful getaway. Les mer

Kind of a quiet getaway in the middle of it all. - Good food (both at the food court and Maya Grill) - Good service - Clean room - Clean grounds - Lots of food options - Lots of entertainment options - They don't nickel and dime you. You really get a good value for your money at this resort. We are definitely going back and spending more time!

The hotelsurounderings were so beautiful. It was like a paradise. We were in the ranchos. It was a short walk to the main convertion center. The only problem was food. It was difficult to go to the stations to pick out what we wanted to eat. I might say that we were in a conference with 2000 so that might have been the problem. Great location and well priced resort on the Disney property. Fun pools and adult friendly (less kid-oriented, no characters everywhere, etc). Mediocre food at best though, at both the main restaurant and cafe/food court areas. Like all Disney properties, overpriced drinks and food options. The Hotel would be fine for a family but as a convention hotel it has a lot to be desired. Few choices for food, hotel rooms are outdated, you can be housed 15 minutes from the lobby.

Very nice place but it is huge. To get acces to the restaurants , main office and rooms you need to be prepare to walk a lot. Clean rooms and easy acces to all Disney Parks. The food too expense , long lines and the service very complicate.Anyway, was nice to stay there.

Our check in took 50 minutes - not the Disney I expected and there was no line - we were first. We needed a room with 2 queen beds and we were in a room with 1 king - we asked to change this and it was a challenge. The agent called a supervisor over who hmm at us - the employee was not prepared for making any chnage sor dealing with customers for that […] matter - he was overcome with stress - the supervisor walked away popped back over and then just never returned. The agent went to find her at one point. After 40 minutes and us asking what the problem was we expressed the need to see somone who could help - the supervisor was rude and made some changes and told us we were Upgraded to 2 queens" There was never an apology. That was how we started our stay. The Mexican Pepper Market had its own issues. We asked if they could accomodate a gluten allergy. The chef will visit ed the table. We were told us the choices we had. I told him what we would like and he told us that was not available. The waitress was GREAT - when she returned she ased us if we found something that would work - we replied yeah we will pc. a meal together - the waitress was VERY upset and said that was not acceptable. She returned with a 2nd chef who said this is what we have and pizza was a choice - something we has asked the first chef. Both the chef and the waitress were wonderful. The pool was very nice. We looked into the ARCADE area and had a chuckle. If kids are looking to add this to their list - it is pathetic. Other Disney properties had arcades that blew us away. The front desk left us with a bad taste - if that area is cleaned up and the arcade is updated - this would be a great hotel. Les mer

Everything was perfect. would go back again.

We had stayed at Port Orlean French Quarter during our last visit and we liked the Coronado much better. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We appreciated that the bed was a queen and not a full size! The decor around the the hotel was very festive. My only complaint is that they didn't have more latin or mexican food in the food court since […] the theme is southwestern. We would definitely stay here again. Les mer

It was a great stay. The room decoration was pretty. The room is clean and comfortable. I would stay here again on my next trip to disney world.

I think this hotel is gorgeous! Very mexican style. One thing I didn't like, the bed was too uncomfortable for me. To go from the room to the lobby or to the pool, we needed to walk a lot, but the view on the way was great with the lake beside us. The main pool is great for anyone! Stay at Coronado Springs if you want a DELUXE feel for a moderate price. Since this is a convention center, I feel like they go a little beyond to make things plush. Perfect vacation. Love it here, will come back 25 more times.........

Upper mid level Disney property with all the benefits you would expect.

Hard to find rooms at night...almost no markings to find buildings...very large grounds. Expect to walk a lot dragging your bags with you. Expected a King sized bed got two Queens.....knobs missing on rheostat in room, couldn't get any heat!

And it seems to get less personal. I like the new updates in the rooms, but we had an incident with what was either a bed bug or a baby roach. Also, the Pepper Market prices are still going up every year, the walk is still very far to some rooms.... maybe 15 minutes walk... and not many of the workers seemed happy to be there. More leaf blowing at […] 8:30 am and some "sawing" sounds in the ceiling above my bed early in the morning.... no thanks. Les mer

I loved it, and would stay there again!

The hotel was beautiful. Disney make a magnificent job! Everything is clean and in very good conditions. The room was small, but the beds were comfortable. I definitely recommend this hotel.

We came for our 35th anniversary and asked for a room with a better view and they were very accomodating and moved us at no extra cost to us to a great room by the lake and close to the pools What a great time we had

We stayed at the Coronado Springs resort for 5 nights during the middle of Sept. We have stayed at three other Disney resorts and this was my least favorite and we will not be returning. The staff was rude and not friendly, especially the front registration desk and food service places. They stated that the pool slide was open every night until 10pm, […] but it closed at 8pm. The resort is huge and spread out. They were suppose to have golfcarts running to transport people around the grounds, but they were always used by the staff to transport linen and supplies around the resort instead. The buses took forever to arrive (30 minutes) or more. I chose the resort because it was suppose to surround a large lake in which you could rent boats, ski, etc. and in which you could rent bicycles to ride around. These services were not being offered when we stayed although it was 93 degrees outside and hot. The lake was covered with scum floating on top of it and was not pleasant to look at. The only good thing was housekeeping. We had an outstanding housekeeper named Evelyn. She was great and made the cutest towel animals! Our room was always cleaned well. I would not recommend going to Disney during the month of September. This is a time when the "love bugs" flourish. They are a real nuisance and get on your clothes, food and everywhere! You literally cannot walk around without having a million of them pestering you.Overall, the resort was mediocre at best..even the lobby was drab and not up to Disney standards. Les mer

We were placed in 3 rooms in Casitas Bld. 5. I will say it is the farthest from the main center....about a 15 minute walk to the front desk. I would request bldgs. closer to the main center for sure next time. Otherwise, everything was outstanding!

Ok, for the money this is a nice hotel. However, this is a DISNEY property and I expect nothing short of perfection when it comes to Disney property hotels, staff and restaurants. You pay top dollar for all you do at Disney and I expect nothing short of an amazing experience...which I an't say I got. Here's why: 1) Paid for non-smoking King room, got […] a queen that they upgraded to a king but it was still a smoking room. again, gross. 2) Peppers restaurant - Terrible! Waitress didn't speak English, there were no healthy options on the menu (watched the cook pour a ladle of grease right on top of my food before serving it to me!), had stand for 20 minutes while they prepared my meal. 3) Bar in the lobby only had 3 alcohols from which to choose, wine, beer or vodka. Not my idea of a full bar. 4) Overall English speaking staff were rude, unhelpful or just didn't care ie. the baggage handling/courtesy airport check in staff outside and specifically). There were a couple of exceptions but mostly this is the staff at the Disney Coronado Resort. The positives: 1) Big pool is quite nice and offers shuttles 2) Grounds are immaculate 3) Rooms are very clean Anyhow, hope this is helpful.
