Hotellet ble valgt pga plasseringen nær Passeig de Gracia. Hotellet er pent og stilig, men innfridde ikke helt for oss. Vi hadde booket to tremannsrom, og våre rom var rene og pene nok - men trange, det ene rommet hadde i praksis ikke vindu og badet ble gjennomvått når én dusjet. Frokosten var veldig enkel og nede i kjelleren og servicen var middels. […] Det hadde vært helt greit å bli boende, men vi byttet til hotell Pullman nede ved stranden. Det var langt billigere, og hadde god service og store, luftige rom, flotte bad, kjempefin frokost ute og to svømmebasseng. Les mer

Meget bra opphold på alle måter. Ingen ting å utsette. Vil fremheve frokostservicen, og spesiselt Alvin som gjorde en forbilledlig jobb.

Et svært komfortabelt hotell, og vi hadde et flott rom som var nyrenovert. Deilig frokost og meget vennlige ansatte. Kan anbefales. Samt en deilig takterasse med basseng og bar, godt egnet for varme ettermiddager og kvelder.

Hotellet har et moderne og fint design. De fire Duplex rommene vi hadde var alle rene og velholdte. Men på tre av rommene var det ikke mulig å stille på temperaturen. Man kunne bare slå av eller på aircondition. Når den stod på blåste den kaldt hele tiden, og temperatuen lå på 16 grader i rommet. Motsatt ble det når man slår den av. Klaget til resepsjonen, […] men ingenting ble gjort. I dusjen og vasken rant ikke vannet bort. Noe som førte til at man står med vann over anklene i dusjen. Heller ikke her hjalp det å klage. Hotellet har god beliggenhet og en vakker takterrasse med pool og restaurant. Det 20 år gamle hotellet har 5 stjerner, men mangler kvaliteter for å bygge opp under dette i service, interiørmessig standard og teletjenester.. Rommene er generelt 2,4m brede og vanskeligjør en god innredning med begrenset plass til senger. Sengene på 1,5x1,8 m er for små […] for oss vanlige nordboere. Trafikkstøyen er betydelig om du har rom mot hovedgaten. Internettforbindelse til egen PC kan kun kjøpes til en meget høy døgnleie. Vi opplevde desverre personalet i resepsjonen som lite servicevillige og bortforklarende når vi ønsket å få til en bedre løsning for vårt opphold. Hotellet kan derfor ikke anbefales som et fem stjerners hotell. Les mer

Hotel itself is nice, clean, great roof top patio. But we found out at 6 am there was construction going on. We were woke up by drilling & jack hammering on the walls, you could feel the vibration. Hotel staff never notified us of this and when we asked about it they pretended to not really know what we were talking about it. Saying it was coming from […] another building which couldn't be possible if we could feel the vibration. I feel the hotel should be responsible for notifying guest upon booking of any renovations or construction so we can make other accomodations. It ruined our experience at Hotel Claris. :( Les mer

Our stay was very pleasant. The staff were attentive and friendly. The place has a great location and confort at a much better price than the hotel around the corner where I usually stay. I will be pleased to return.

Hotel was very good. Service was very good. Didn't check our Hotels.com receipt until the checkout and it turns out the hotel gave us a light-well facing room instead of a city view room during our four day stay. Also the sauna had a stainless steel water bucket inside the sauna at 120 degrees plus temperature. I burned my hand severely handling the […] pail. Les mer

My second time staying here. You can walk everywhere. Staff is helpful. Each room is unique. Hotel is two blocks from both La Pedrera and Casa Batllo, right in the middle of Eixample.

The Hotel Claris seems unique .The design is sleekly modern but not aggressivly so .The staff are professional courteous and kind. Food is good value and satisfyngly non pretentious .It is meticulously clean.Quite a few hotels have antiques scattered around in some sort of fashion statement but with the Claris you feel that the suprb artefacts that […] form part of the charm of the place are loved and apreciated in their own right. Perfect location right in the centre of Barcelona and most attractions were within walking distance.. Buses, trains & taxis were easily available withing 250m of the hotel. The hotel was of a very high standard although we didn't eat in the hotel as breakfast was very expensive at €23. The hotel was very good in all aspects. It doesn't have the magesty of other 5 star hotels but the service and quality is there. The location cannot be better, and in a safe and nice elegant area. One block away from Paseo de Gracia, two away from from Ramblas Catalans, and two from Diagonal. It is perfectly located to go anywhere in Barcelona. Two […] of Gaudi's masterpiece houses are walking distance (5 and 10 minutes away). The hop on/ hop off tourbus stop is 7 minutes away walking distance (at Paseo de Gracia in front of Gaudi's La Pedrera and Starbucks. Tons of coffee shops and good restaurants around. Les mer

good location for walking around Barcelona. The staff were very helpful and a member of staff even brought us a blankets and wiped the seats down when we went to the roof top garden and wanted to sit outside. Thanks for the great stay Would definitely recommend

This hotel was perfect for my stay. The hotel staff went out of their way to accommodate our every need. We ate dinner one night in the roof top restaurant, La Terraza. It was the best meal we had in Barcelona. Absolutely superb!!

The hotel was nice. Last year we had a larger room so were a little dissapointed that the twin beds were right up next to each other but it was clean and tidy. The front of house staff, in particular the door men and bar staff were superb. The door man insisted on standing out in the rain to get a taxi to the front door for us.

Last week, we spent 3 nights me and my friend at the claris hotel, in a duplex twin room which was almost like a suite which was lovely, , and I found it to be just like it appears on the website, very modern, classic and the upkeeping of the hotel is excellent, clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful with any help that I required, e.g. such as […] translation of spanish when using the computer, room service, and advising me the best places to shop or even visit on our day out. The cleaners were great, and did a good job cleaning our rooms, but the only thing was we wasn't sure at what time they were to come and clean, so we had to ring the reception, or we would see them outside our front room door, cleaning another room, so we would ask then. The only thing i would say, was that quite early in the morning, there were noises of footsteps coming from the next room, but it didn't go on for too long. Having access to the sauna facilities was really enjoyable and quiet. The breakfast was enjoyable, I enjoyed the quietness of the hotel, overall it wasn't noisy, the restaurant was lovely, and well decorated. I had a good experience, and found it very interesting, i had the opportunity to walk to many places, and the shopping, markets and malls, were within reasonable walking distance, as well as hopping onto a tourist bus which was convenient to take us out further to have a better sight seeing expereince. I would visit barcelona again,go back to the claris hote too. Les mer

Perfect for staying in the heart of Barcelona for a few nights. We stayed prior to departing for a cruise for one night. Hotel staff was very accomodating. Room was clean and met our expectations (we typically stay in 4.5 - 5 star hotels). The window shade is a little thin and light comes in fairly easily, but that is just a nit. Tip - highly recommend […] taking the train to the hotel from the airport. I think the cost was six or seven euros and is the most cost effective mode of transportation. The train drops you off one block from the hotel. If you take a cab, you are wasting your money. The hotel is very convenient to La Sagrada and shopping. Highly recommend staying here. Les mer

Paid extra for a 'duplex' room with extra space. Disappointing. Window looked directly in to a brick wall. I asked for a different room and was told nothing better was available...then the construction noise started. I again asked for a new room and was told that noise would stop soon. they offer free internet on the website and its not free only give you 12 hours per stay. Staff very rude. Staff with much attitude told me that they gave me a superior room for more space ( like if they are giving me an upgrade) I booked a superior room, so they are not giving anything extra, I know what I booked...... and Iam not asking then anything, […] just my room. Lovely hotel in a good location, however the pool is much smaller than the photo leads you to believe and whilst the staff are courteous, they were not particularly attentive.

Excellent hotel. We got a room upgrade so was even better than we expected. Very good location to either stroll or get the metro to the main tourist spots. Very quiet. Lovely roof top terrace. The pool is small but nice to cool off in after a day's sightseeing. Excellent food in the restaurant.

A lovely hotel... in an excllent position. We weren't sure where to go but what a good choice. Saw some of the other hotels on expedia and so glad we picked this one. A lovely hotel with excellent amenities and very well designed.

The staff is great, especially Kathy at reception and Adrian at the pool (restaurant). British Airways lost my luggage and she was most helpful. The hotel is perfectly located. The only downside is that they advertised having a gym which really doesn't meet minimum standards: it only has three sets of weights and two antiquated machines in a tiny rooftop […] room to the back. The hotel had friendly staff with good english with good facilities. This is my first time in this hotel but not in Barcelona. Great for families as there is a small clean pool on the roof terrace perfect for time fillers and a lift for buggies. The terrace has a bar and restaurant also. Its location is great as it is near the shops - good ones too […] - and there are plenty of reasonably priced cafes and supermarkets nearby. It is a good 20 minutes walk to the beach. Food and drinks are pricey in the hotel but then that's no different to any other hotel. There was a bit of street noise at night but not disruptive. The cleaners were not intrusive or noisy either. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at Hotel Claris. From our arrival at 10.30pm (which they were more than ready for with our luxurious duplex suite) to booking our restaurant of choice for our last night (one of only 7 tables in the whole restaurant we had chosen). The room, facilities and staff were all first rate!

Absolutely loved this hotel, its position is fabulous it close to great shopping and tourist attractions, but in a quite area, the roof top pool, bar and restaurant blew us away the staff looked and acted very professional, loved the door man

The Hotel Claris is centrally located, within walking distance to several sites and public transportation. The hotel and rooms are very clean and pretty. Our room, on an upper floor, was very quiet. The beds were very comfortable. One negative is that the bathtub was not easy for an older guest to get in and out of, and there was a step in our room, […] Otherwise, the room was very nice. The staff at the hotel were very nice and very helpful. Whatever restaurants they recommended were excellent. They also gave us good advice regarding our questions about site seeing. There is a lovely rooftop restaurant and bar. The website did say free wifi, but I was told it was free only for a short time. They did have computers in a room off the lobby available for guests. A friend recommended the Hotel Claris to us, and I would also recommend it. Les mer
