Nice hotel but the loudy music playing all day long was a little too much!!!!

The hotel staff was very helpful, I was there for a friend's wedding and the front desk let us check in early. Very nice hotel :)

Have stayed at numerous places throughout the island, and will only stay at Omni.

A nice hotel. Really was able to relax & enjoy my time off.

Enjoyed stay and hotel. Great location. Good pool. Only problem was the slow and sometimes lack of housekeeping

The staff at the Omni were super friendly and extremely helpful! Loved everything about the hotel!!! The grounds were beautiful and the beach is right there- we even had an unexpected view of the ocean from our deluxe garden view room! Thank you for a great stay!!

The hotel had a nice garden, which was the view for about 90% of the rooms. Only a few had a frontal ocean view. From our room on the third floor we could see the ocean, but it wasn't that great. The rooms were clean, but not that big. Only the frontal ocean view rooms were big. All rooms had balconies, which was great to sit. The only downfall was […] that you had to pay for everything. Location was perfect-right on beach. Rental bikes, pool towels available. Single room with 2 beds was spacious for 2 adults 2 teens. Plenty of poolside chairs for sunning. Workout facility was clean and had plenty of equipment and located so one had nice view outside. We were greeted promptly and warmly upon arrival by bellhops. The hotel desk staff was polite but not efficient. It took over 15-20 minutes for them to check us in and we were the only customer at the desk. I was not told by the hotel staff that a resort fee would be added to my bill for each day of stay. The initial appearance of the hotel desk/lobby area is not appealing and is dirty. The room was not very appealing...the […] bath room area is very small and poorly designed. The bath tub/shower was outdated. The tub/shower faucets did not work smoothly and the caulking around the tub was very dirty. The lighting throughout the room was poor. The room's carpet was not clean....I had to ask the cleaning staff to vacumn the carpet. The room size was good but the overall feel in the room was not good. Staying at this hotel was quite a disappointment. My husband and I travel often and stay at 4+ star hotels. This hotel should not receive a 4star rating. Les mer

The resort is very nice. The only complaints that we have is that the beds are terrible, my back is still sore from the uncomfortable mattress. I was also surprised by the additional $20/night resort fee that we were charged during check-in. This fee was not charged nor even mentioned when we booked this hotel thru hotels.com.

The resort was nicely landscaped and had a lot of amenities. I booked an ocean view room which was significantly more expensive than a room overlooking the garden. It was more a view of the parking lot. The ocean was out there past that but it was not a good view. The room was okay. It was very musty and the balcony was horrible with old green outdoor […] carpet and those metal frame with plastic band chairs covered in pollen. If I ever went back, which isn't very likely, I would book a garden view room. Les mer

nice place, staff was friendly. a little surprised by the $16 per night "resort fee" . also felt like the restaurant was pretty expensive. never paid $20 for breakfast.

Hotel was recently reflagged as an Omni and while it was obvious many updates had been made there were several things we found unsatisfactory. Numerous wall outlets to include one in the shower area were almost pulling out of the wall. The second vanity area outside the shower had no outlet at all only a GFIC without receptacles. Not much good if one […] person wanted to use hair dryer while other showered. The light switch in the bath was loose as well since the wrong size screws were used to secure it. The pipes under the open front vanities were almost solid corrosion indicating they were not changed when room was updated. The desk chair and two dining chairs were filthy looking as tho drinks had been spilled on them. Baseboards needed painting and detracted from the over all look of the room. We found it strange what they decided to update and what they did not. On a positive note the common areas were beautiful and the HH Prime restaurant was excellent as was the snack bar and store. All in all this property was not up to the Omni standards we have experienced at other Omni owned properties. Will not stay there again as we considered the electrical issues a safety hazard. We'd stay at the Omni again because it was a fantastic experience for us. We are a family with 3 teenagers, so we have unique needs. My wife and I took daily walks on the beach. My kids enjoyed their autonomy, the pools and nightly fire-pit. The Omni's location is it's greatest asset; its a beachfront, tranquil location where the sunrise was spectacular […] every day of our stay. It's second best asset is the tropical landscaping of the resort. We've been to many exotic locations in Asia. The Omni rivals the best of them in terms of integrating nature into the grounds. The hotel shows its age (it use to be a Hilton), but for the price we paid it remained an excellent value. Nothing terrible, but I saw an occasional cobweb and places where minor renovations were done poorly. The exterior of the building and interior hallways are all of thick stucco. We called it the "cake frosting" hotel. Our windows were dirty and my request for ours to be cleaned appeared to go unheeded. The point is, it's not true luxury. Fine hotel but in need of a renewal

Very relaxing, hotel very clean, staff goes above and beyond anything requested. Very accommodating. Highly recommend, plan on future trips.

The hotel was very nice but a special Thank You to Anna whom handled our messed up reservations with great courtesy. We really did enjoy the hotel and Hilton Head very much.

Staff were 1st class.... Made stay even better. Food was very good, little pricey but staying at a resort you pay premium. Location cannot be beat..... room to beach 2 minutes, beach back to pool 2 minutes..... With 3 kids slowing us down.... Made stay even more relaxing

If you're looking for a 4.5-5.0 hotel that has this rating, this is not the hotel. I would 3.0-3.5. We were misled.

3/10/12 great resort, wish i could of stayed longer.

My husband and I stayed at the Omni Hotel and Resort for our anniversary. We stayed in an ocenfront suite on the 5th floor and I must say we were very happy with the room. Going to sleep each night to the sound of the ocean was very soothing. The grounds are beautiful. We will visit this resort again.

Hotel charged me a resort fee at check-out. This was not mentioned at check in.. I thought this was unfair. The food at the restaurant was not good

Well, let's just say that I paid a lot for a room with an ocean view in the off season, only to find that my ocean view first overlooked the parking lot. At night, the security lights from the parking lot really distracted from enjoying the ocean from my balcony. I was really disappointed with the view (I don't think if I were to stay here again I would […] waste my money on the view). We arrived at 2:00 and waited until 4:00 until our room was ready. They really are firm about their 4:00 check in. They made no real effort to contact us early, even though they asked for my cell number. At four I walked to the front desk to see what was going on, and there was a stack of keys (one of which was mine). When I was loading my stuff into my room, I got the call that my room was ready. So, while I wasn't really excited about the view, the hotel is walking distance to the beach. The pool is great for kids--it's heated to 80, which is nice in the off season, and there is a large section that is 3" (there's a tiny kiddie pool too). There's a nice bar with simple food at the pool too, so that is all convenient. Rooms were fine. Nothing amazing. But fine. Les mer

I booked a room with 2 queen beds. I stayed in the North side. The room was large with a lcd tv, a kitchenette area, with a sink, microwave and small fridge. There was a round table and 4 chairs for eating or doing work, and there was also a wall desk where you could sit and work or use your laptop. The bed was really comfortable and I loved the pillows. […] There was Wifi that did not require a pw, the signal was strong. Had all the things a resort should have, 2 pools, hot tubs, beach out back, a bar at the pool. All of the staff was nice and helpful. The staff brought me some items from the store when I wasn't feeling well and the concierge printed my boarding pass for me when it was time to leave. The picky things now that made this a 4 instead of a 5. The pool bar was at the kid/adult pool and not the adult only pool. I thought that was weird. So if you want a drink and peace and quiet you have to go to the other pool, get your drink and head to the other pool. Also the towels were a bit far from the adult pool. I had to go searching for them and ask around to find them. Very odd. Why not just have a stack at the adult pool? I ate at HH Prime one night and it was good, but expensive. Not the kind of place to eat every night. They have a store/cafe where you can get pre-made sandwiches and some minor cooked to order meals like omelets or pasta, but there is no ambience. What's missing is an in between cafe with some nice outdoor seating that would make you feel like you were at a resort enjoying yourself, not at a red roof inn. The gift shop was lame and reminded me of a hospital volunteer gift shop. My room showed minor bits of wear, things that could be fixed with new lamp shades and some paint. The worst thing was the shower water temp & pressure. It was awful. The water was lukewarm and the pressure was terrible for the first few days, then they did some maintenance and it improved a bit, but was still not great. They really need to fix that. Hotel has excellent service and food. The well trained staff is always there to offer assistance . In some areas the handicapped access could be improved. Overhead awnings should be replaced and improved. When it rains it rains and the walk way does not stay dry. Meeting rooms were very good. The Omni exceeded my expectations..the staff was very friendly and professional. My husband said, that was the best hotel, he has ever stayed in. The overall stay was fantastic. Although, it rained most of our stay, the hotel made up for it. There's a restaurant, a store and lots of scenery, right there on the resort. We sat around the fire and talked […] with other couples during the night (located by the pool area). Very secure and clean. Doesn't smell like a typical hotel (if, you know what I mean). We stayed here around the first of March. Temperature great. The hotel's grounds are stunning. Note that resort hotels like this one sometimes charge an extra grounds fee which includes Internet and parking, besides the use of the grounds (pools, health club, etc.). If you booked through hotels.com or other online service, check whether the Internet […] and parking are included in your fee. They were on my bill, so the grounds fee for 3 days was waved. The grounds fees can add a significant amount on your bill. If you plan on staying a week, check the hotel's site because it may be included in some of their posted rates. No matter what, the resort was beautiful as was Hilton Head Island in early March. I think you'll enjoy it there. If you only plan on being on the island once, select the best place with grounds on the beach. Les mer

A very nice resort on a great part of the Hilton Head Beach. The premier garden facing room is the way to go--an excellent bargain and very pretty looking down at the tropical lagoons, waterfalls, and pools. Don't pay the extra for ocean front unless you want the sun in your room first thing in the morning and nothing to see darkness when the sun goes […] down. The room was very spacious and nicely furnished. In room mini kitchen means you can save on meals which are expensive at the resort. This is a resort to park your car and destress--so plan your meal options. There's an adult pool as well as a family pool plus two hot tubs. We stayed at the end of February and had 80 degree weather and the resort mostly to ourselves. It was wonderful! We were able to get an excellent last minute room rate and enjoyed the much needed relaxation. Les mer

What a pleasant surprise! My husband and I were both impressed with the quality of service at the Omni and the resort it self. Great pools, great views, so much to do around Hilton Head and by far... GREAT FOOD at the Resorts restaurant. Impressed with everything and we'll definitely be back!

We liked the hotel except the pillows are too feather -soft. We wished that the breakfast is included in the package.

The resort was wonderful! The only thing that bothered me is there was a $16.00n a day service charge (parking and internet) that I was not informed about and didn't realize what the charge was until I questioned it at the front desk. I prepaid the hotel and didn't realize there was going to be extra charges.

I was nervous about booking this room since it had been a Hilton on 3 weeks ago. So glad I did!! The room was beautiful and CLEAN. The staff was outstanding, everyone went out of their way to say hello and make sure I was enjoying my stay, from the housekeeping staff to the front desk. The hotel was at 100% and there was no room to park, but the valeted […] it for free. The next morning I had to get to the golf course and valet was not answering the phone, so I went to the front desk. Mark was working alone and he went out in the pouring rain and lightening to get my car for me, all with a smile. I will most definitely stay here again. Only drawback that I was not aware there was a resort fee, didn't see it on hotels.com website. I was charged and when I told them I didn't know there was one, they took one day off. Excellent experience for myself and my husband.

Lovely location and grounds. February is too cool, better to go in April or later.Additional service charge for entertainment and facility use seems unnecessary, since it was too cold to even walk the grounds. It was not at it's best this time of year. No coffee available, short staff.

We had a great stay. It was a bit cool. The grounds are very nice and the service was good. We did not eat at the hotel. Our room was very comfortable and clean. If we can get as good a deal again, we will certainly return.
