"good for price"
Place is dated but clean and good service .Descent breakfast included so plobably best deal around if you don't mind it being dated. Like the indoor pool a treat in the winter.
"uncomfortable bed"
we stayed in king size bed room with sofa ..bed had a rubber pad of some kind that kep bunching up all night and was very uncomfortable to sleep on also matress was not comfortable at all. breakfeast was great ..fresh cookies at the front desk was a nice touch..front desk was excellent...but definately got to do something about the bed situation///also […] construction going on near the hotel which is situated just off the freeway ..quite noisy.easy access to ..internet was fast Les mer

everything was fine except the hallway on the third floor smelled moldy/musty very convenient to highway easy on and off

"Great pit stop hotel during off season"
Mackinaw City is actually dead during the off season, so don't count on seeing attractions or whatnot. The hotel was great, easy to spot as soon as you come off the bridge. Breakfast was AWESOME - great hot breakfast with fresh baked gooey cinnamon buns. Many restaurants will be closed in the area but make sure to check out TailGate Jr's and order pizza […] - the hotel gives you a discount too. it was delicious :) Les mer

"nice stay"
Hotel was pretty straight forward. Complimentary breakfast was good had multiple choices. The room was nice big bed big shower head warm water. I did wait at the front desk for like 10 minutes waiting for a towel would be my only complaint! However they did clear my car of snow after a big snow storm
"Just my luck"
The night we stayed turned out to be a weekend hockey tournament for young kids. The issue was that even on their 4th floor which required a room key to access, the kids were anything but considerate of the other guests as they made noise throughout the evening well past 1:00am and in the hallway. Nothing particularly outstanding, nor bad. It is a place to sleep. Beds were normal well-used hotel beds.
We were upgraded to a very nice room, with a balcony. Too bad it was to cold to enjoy it. Breakfast Bar was excellent. Highly recommend this hotel.

Like every other hotel the beds were like sleeping on the floor. Not everyone likes a hard bed!!!!!!!!!! thats why you get a 1 for comfort

You might say it's a bit dated but the price is right the service was great and the breakfast was descent. Would gladly stay here any time. To the lady at the breakfast buffet your service was so good it was almost embarassing, Thanks for a nice stay

Our handicap room was clean, comfortable, with easy acess. Breakfast was the best of any hotel we have ever stayed at. Staff was considerate and professional. Will contact this hotel again.

Very clean hotel with a friendly staff located minutes from the heart of Mackinaw City. The breakfast buffet was the BEST I've ever experienced at a hotel!

Very clean hotel, comfortable room and bed. Free shuttle to Mackinaw Island boats from the hotel was very convenient. Free breakfast was another nice feature. The local downtown area short drive away.

Room was not ready at Check In Time. Room's carpet was filthy, baby went crawling with white sox, came back after ten minutes with black ones. Beds seemed very old and uncomfortable. Front desk staff could not help with WIFI problems. Nevertheless very expensive. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone else.

Very nice hotel. Very nice walk to the downtown area and to the bridge. A little pricey, but very nice in general.
"Breakfast at the hotel"
Although our room was comfortable, the lobby and breakfast area of the hotel were both very warm and uncomfortable. Those areas were not air-conditioned sufficiently to maintain a comfortable temperature. The breakfast itself was very good and the hotel offered a variety of items to choose from for breakfast.

"Nice, Clean and Convenient."
The H.I. Express was great. It was nice and clean. The front desk employee that checked up in was great and helped us figure out where to go and what to do. I would definitely stay there again if I am in the area!
"Very Reasonable"
This is an average hotel. Nothing really extra-ordinary. It is our first time in the area. The kids enjoyed using the pool and we all liked the breakfast. The front desk staff was very helpful. We will come back here again in the future.

"lobby was hot/humid"
This hotel is not prepared to handle heat and humidity, which admittedly doesn't happen all that often in their location. The lobby and breakfast area were terribly unpleasant. My mother's health does not allow for such conditions, so I will not stay at this location when heat/humidity are expected.

"Overall good"
Hotel and cleaning staff made mistakes. Cleaning staff wanted us to communicate with their boss and not them. Other than that, everything else was great.
