Hampton Inn Cincinnati - Riverfront - Downtown Area - Covington

Chose hotel because it has the best rates for a decent hotel in the Covington/Newport area. Girls weekend so pull-out sofa bed was nice. Senior member of front desk staff was very friendly, professional and helpful...while training the obviously new staff. Great free breakfast - hot and cold - fresh fruit - even make your own waffles. Staff was friendly, hotel was clean. Only negative is that the curtains are designed so they don't close & the sheers aren't enough to block the light from the streetlights outside. Didn't realize this until we went to bed. It was like trying to sleep with the lights on. Also rooms don't have a river view as indicated. The hotel and staff were very good. They only negative was the freezing cold pool. Our 5 year old jumped right in, but it was way too cold for the adults. We only let him swim for a short time because it was extremely cold.

My greeting at the front desk at check-in was friendly & courteous. Our room was very clean. The decor in the hotel looked like it was recently updated. I was expecting a bleach/chlorine smell at the pool but there was a nice clean fresh scent. Pool was warm & clean. While there is no hot tub the pool is nice. A bit smaller than expected from the pic. The room was great though and the breakfast tasty.

Wanted to get away just for the weekend. The hotel staff was very friendly and room very nice. The bed was comfortable as well. Breakfast was very nice,a very nice selection of food. Would stay here again.

I have stayed here many times and in the past would have recommended it...not so much now. The breakfast quality has decreased, my room was missing a remote - sevices brought me one immediately when I called but it was crazy dirty, and in the process of looking for the original one I lifted the bed skirt and was surprised by about 20 guests worth of […] crud including candy wrappers, menus, etc. Disappointed. My wife and I stayed here while we went to football games at Paul Brown Stadium on a Saturday and Sunday. Breakfast was very good and staff worked hard to replenish food items during a very busy time. The room and the hotel was clean and staff was very friendly. We decided to stay here because internet , parking, and breakfast were included. Some other […] hotels in downtown Cincinnati with comparable nightly rates did not include some or all or these services. Many of the other area hotels had a signicantly higher price for the nights we stayed. We walked a couple blocks to catch a bus to the stadium. Taking the bus to the staduim was much more cost effective and easier than trying to take our vehicle there. There are a few late night liquor stores not far from the hotel. You can decide for yourself if that is positive or negative, but we didn't feel unsafe at the hotel because of the stores. It was also very easy to get on the interstate from the hotel when it was time to go. If you want a decent, clean place to stay with nice amenities, I would suggest this hotel. If you are going to Paul Brown Stadium, stay here or at one of the other hotels down the street in Covington and ride the bus. Les mer

The room was clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast host was extremely gracious. We were not rushed as the clock neared 10 a.m. As we have been in other Hampton Inns. We always stay in Hampton Inns when we travel as a family and this is the most friendly one.

Good location on the river, but on wrong side of bridge,,,not near the entertainment center down the river. but for the price and cleanliness of the hotel it was good. I booked a king,,but got two twins, they had some that stayed a few days extra they told me,,was no big deal but not what I booked..

Don't expect a view of the river with this hotel. It is located a couple of dark blocks from the shuttle that goes through parts of Covington, Cincinnati, and Newport. But, it wasn't a scary neighborhood to walk through to get to the shuttle stop, by any means. The staff was helpful and really friendly. The hotel was clean and comfortable. I was there one night I happy with my stay. I stay in one in NJ and I was happy with them too.

This hotel is very clean and the staff was friendly as can be. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. If you need a ride to of from the ball park, this is the place to stay. Come on Beth!!!!! Thanks

The Hampton Inn in Covington is fine, All the beds at all hamptons are too soft for me and I sleep on a pillow top every night so I like my bed to be on the soft side. Breakfast is fine. The staff was fine. I would stay at the hotel if I did not have to walk anywhere outside the hotel after my arrival. The neighborhood around the hotel is undesirable, […] The South Shore shuttle bus stop is 2 blocks away at white castle. I usually don't mind a walk but I really don't like to walk too far when staying in Covington. It seems to me that when we stay in Covington, I end up walking tom Mc Donalds or the BP for a snack at night . The next time I will stay at the extended stay hotel. Les mer

I was happy with the cleanliness of the room. The room was quiet (even though it was right off the elevators) and the bed was very comfortable. The parking is a little awkward and the hotel "shares" a parking lot with a liquor store but it is still close to the other hotels in the area and is within walking distance to the Mainstrasse area of Covington […] with its terrific bars and restaurants. I had stayed at a different hotel on a previous trip but I will definitely choose the Hampton if we visit again! Les mer

This hotel was perfect for our weekend, we needed to be close to US Bank Arena for a concert and we were not only close to that, but also to many good places to eat in Covington, Newport on the levie, and a strip of bars that cost nothing to get in. The front desk gave me Motrin for my hangover and they mailed me my camera when I left it in the room. […] Great service Les mer

Staff was very helpful in recommending restaurants and providing directions and traffic estimates to get to the University of Cincinnati for a visit. Will stay here again!

The Hotel was ok and conveniently located. The area wasn't very nice. It was a bit noisy with doors slamming which kept us awake. We thought the room was a little pricey for what we received.

Were were in town for Macy's Music Festival for the weekend, location was very convienient to activities we were attending, only a 7 minute shuttle ride($1.50 each way) over to Cincinatti or a 4 minute taxi ride only $7 each way. Hotel staff was very nice and pleasant. Saff in the dining room was very attenative always cleaning the area and refilling […] coffee and food. Everything was wonderful except for the parking lot did not fit all the cars, and the second lot was further back and I was not comfortable parking back there.

This is a good location to stay when attending the Newport Aquarium and The Great American Ball Park. I would recommend this to anyone going to the Aquarium and/or the ballgame.

This is a nice hotel. Appears like it is fairly new, it was clean and comfortable. Our view of Cincinnati was obstructed by a bridge.

Right across the river from Paul Brown Stadium. Convenient to downtown Cincinnati.

Rooms had up-to-date furniture/furnishings and were clean. Free breakfast was good and got a to-go snack bag when leaving. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel was a nice and clean, no complaints there. A pair pants was left in the wardrobe- when I called the hotel, the lady at the front desk was very helpful and mailed them back to us.
