Room was as expected. Only problem was partying on the balcony by adjacent room residents. Complained at 1:00 am but hothing was done. Discussed with front desk the next morning and second night they were shut down.

Clean room and bathroom, well equipped. The employees were friendly and helpful. The amenities were great, just what we needed; all clean and in working conditions.

The hotel was close to the interstate making it easy to get to downtown New Orleans, also very close to main areas of Metairie. The room was OK, TV not that good, but who stays alot in the room when in New Orleans. Over all good for the price.

My stay at the Super 8 exceeded my expectations. The attendant not only went above and beyond to get us a different room, because a "mistake" was made. He ensured to correct the deficiency diligently and did so with class. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is in the New Orleans area. They put us in a smoking room instead of the non-smoking room we reserved. When we asked about this they told us that online reservations were not guaranteed and there was nothing he could do. Our sons have asthma and the smoking room was not an option so we called hotels.com and they contacted the hotel and a non-smoking room miraculously came available. "not too bad"
The room was decent, location good. The carpet was and smelled old, the bedding looked old, although it was comfortabl I think carpet and comforter updates would do wonders for the rooms. I was satisfied with the breakfast, fast wi-fi and nice staff and 24 hour lobby coffe was nice. Will stay here again.

I am a very well travelled person having stayed in 5 star hotels, motels, Bed and Breakfasts and other types of hotel properties, including in the United States, latin America, Europe and even Africa and I can say that this hotel was the worst experience I ever had. To begin with, the room was absolutely filthy to the point that we used our own towels. […] The hotel is in serious decay and in desperate need of a renovation. Service was terrible too as they did not clean out our bedroom the first night we stayed there. Lastly, the noise from the highway combined with the terrible bed that had a very uncomfortable mattress made sleeping impossible. TV's were not even HD and the furniture was also about 20 years old. "Good Deal for the Money"
The hotel is much better that you may think based on first impression. The staff was polite and accommodating. The room was clean. The beds were a bit hard and the pillows were a bit flat but all in all it was a great deal. The location was great! Easy access to the airport and downtown. Food, gas and shopping was across the interstate.

"Super 8 Metairie"
The kitchenette was well laid out with a fridge, microwave, counter-top cooking surface and bar sink but sadly no cooking pans, utensils or dishes. The king bed was comfy with crisp clean linens. But our non-smoking room was absolutely stinky with stale cigarette smoke; the air conditioning unit poured cigarette stink into the room and even the bathroom […] exhaust fan added more of that stench. They really need to pull apart all the air moving devices replace the filters and thoroughly clean the entire thing PLUS steam-clean the carpets as vacuuming will not remove cigarette smoke odors. Then they can truly say they are a non-smoking hotel! Les mer

Room was reasonable clean though had burn marks on bed spread.Was very noisy - party in adjacent rooms. Did complain but did no good. Second night was better as security was involved. Staff very friendly and helpful.

One of the last rooms in town available during St. Patrick's Day weekend and March Madness. The I-10 location was very convenient - especially to our nighttime activities on Oak Street in Uptown.

We stayed here on our trip to New Orleans. We rented a car so the location was GREAT. It was near restaurants, shops and even a mall. Its rite off the freeway exit and only about 8 miles from Bourbon st. The room was clean. It even had a microwave, mini fridge, iron and board. We wanted to spend a weekend with my family in New Orleans and decided to go with super 8 in metarie because it was much cheaper than the ones closer to french quarter and it took less than 10 minutes to get to downtown locations. You get what you pretty much expect from a motel on interstate. Nothing fancy but if you only spending a couple of nights […] it is ok. On the website they said that the rooms have safes - that did not prove to be true though. Les mer

We decided to take our young children on a quick trip to New Orleans. Since we were staying only one night, I didn't want to deal with valet charges, etc. for a hotel in the French Quarter. I booked the Super 8 based on prior reviews and ratings from other travelers. The hotel desk clerk was incredibly friendly and efficient with check-in. Our room […] was spotless and sufficient for what we were paying. The hotel is immediately off a busy highway, so passing traffic was a tad noisy at time, but it wasn't something that kept us awake or even woke us up. We missed the complimentary breakfast, so I have no idea what was offered. I would definitely return to this hotel for future trips. Les mer

Staff was very nice. As a motel and price it was great--we could not book into the city so stayed here our first night and worked out very well. We would stay again.

We had reserved a non-smoking room, but ended up in a smoking room. The motel was booked, but the clerk was able to switch us to a non-smoking room. Unfortunately, this room had just had the carpets shampooed. The carpet was still wet and by bedtime it was musty smelling in the room. Also, the stopper in the bathtub was not functioning at all. "It Is What It Is"
This hotel is exactly what you would expect for a Super 8. It is very clean and convenient off the interstate. It's plain jane and slightly outdated. It is used to be a place where you are only in your room for sleeping and showering for a night or two. Being on a budget, this was all I wanted and asked for. Carpet looked disgusting. Quality of towels was bad. Bed linen was clean and bathroom was clean. The room we were stuck with was a smoking room and it smelled awful. Wouldn't stay here again.

We had arrived very late and was in need of a handicap room, They were very friendly and professional are were able to meet my request. The room was very clean and the bed was just right. The hotel staff were extremely prompt, nice, and hospitable. The continental breakfast was small, but had enough options for everyone in my group of 4. The room was just as expected. It's an older hotel and it isn't anything fancy, but the bed was comfy, the ac/heater worked, there was cable, in-room appliances, and the bathroom was clean. "Super 8 Clearview and I-10"
Room was clean and comfortable. Not enough electrical sockets in the room, and the shower tab on the faucet was a beast to move to get the shower to turn on. Iron and coffee maker worked fine. Microwave, refrigerator. What more do you need? The internet was terrible, although it was free. This is my line of work, so I know what I'm talking about. And […] as such, I wasn't able to get any work done while staying here. If you just need a place to crash in Metarie , then this place will do nicely. Les mer
"SICK!"
The smell of bleach when you entered the room almost knocked me over. Staff recommended I keep the door open for a few minutes because they had just cleaned the carpets. The chemical smell was awful. To top it off at 12:00 at night the toilet stopped working and maintenance recommended we use the bathroom in the office. Are you kidding me! He walked […] in with a plunger and attempted to un plug the toilet. He was unsuccessful and then walked out while the plunger dripped on the carpet. I guess it was a good thing they cleaned the carpets with a 5 gallon jug of bleach. Just never stay there. Pay $50 dollars more for something else and get a good night’s sleep. Les mer

"What a great place to gather with friends"
This hotel is exceptional on cleanliness, safety, and wonderful, friendly staff. Good breakfasts, GREAT coffee and the welcome mat... SMILE was out at all times. We highly recommend it for families, friends. Very reasonable rates and we look forward to returning sometime soon.

This is a great stay for someone wanting to visit New Orleans on a budget. My boyfriend were extremely happy with the room and hotel staff, who frequently helped us with calling cabs and making accommodations in the area. Will definitely stay again.

"Good for short stay"
The hotel is right off I-10 and close to lots of restaurants, movie theater, and two malls. Great staff. Rooms were definitely worn - carpet torn in a couple of places, older TVs. Would recommend if you're looking for a place for a shorter stay (1-2 nights).
