This motel has been around for a long time but it is well kept up and maintained. Rooms are clear and comfortable. The beds are a bit soft my my taste but all in all the location and price make this a good choice when in the Morro Bay area.

This motel is a few blocks from the downtown area and the embarcaderro (sp?) It's definitely older but in decent shape and the room was clean. When we got there we were asked if we wanted to upgrade our room, which I have no idea to what because they're all basically the same. They also advertise breakfast but from the time you check in and realize […] where the breakfast area is you know that can't be good. The price was very good though. Long story short; great place to stay overnight on the way to somewhere else (that's what we did) but if you're staying in Morro Bay for a while you might want to get something in walking distance to the action or with more amenities. I stayed here last fall and decided that this was the perfect place to stay on my business trips to the Morro Bay area. The establishment is under new management and I did not care for the person was not very accommodating or friendly. I'll probably go somewhere else next time.

I would stay there again. Courteous staff and clean rooms.

The front desk woman was extremely rude. I had made an on line reservation for a king bed room. On our way there I called to ask the price to change to two queen beds if we needed to do so. I then told her that we would not be making any changes after all and would stay with the king bed reservation. She asked, annoyingly, how much longer will it be […] before we arrive. We checked in around 9:15 p.m. and went straight to our room to find a queen bed. I decided to discuss the error in the morning with her. The next morning I brought my iPad to the front office to ask what happened and request an adjustment. She insisted rudely that when I had phoned the night prior that I had asked to be changed to a queen bed room. I tried to explain the conversation that we had and she cut me off to say that it didn't matter anyway, she couldn't find the reservation on her computer. Though I showed her our reservation on the iPad she continued to say " it doesn't matter anyway". She could see that I wasn't going to argue with her over a few dollars or the principle of who was right. As I walked out of the door she chimed in a pleasant, but insincere manner " so how was your room? WOW, really? Les mer

The from desk lady was very rude. We bearly were checking in and she was already telling me to make sure my 2 kids were quiet. She didnt even see my kids as they were still in the car. We asked for an extra blanket and she gave a little thin one. She also was starting out the front desk window at us as we were waking into our rooms. Nice people to deal with. Hotel was clean, cheap, and close to everything. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff was very helpful and pleasant. It is an older place that has been redecorated. Microwave adn small fridge in the room. The room was clean and basic. The location is walking distance from the main strip in Morro Bay and the waterfront. Well worth the low price I paid to stay. I chose Rodeway Inn because of the unbelievably low price for its location. This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the Embarcadero, restaurants and shops. Check-in was super fast and easy. The front desk manager was very pleasant and gave great recommendations for nearby restaurants and points of interest. Several local restaurants […] offer discounts for Rodeway guests. I stay at a lot of 'budget' hotels, so I certainly wasn't expecting five-star accomodations. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the comfort and condition of the room. Although the furnishings were old and the decor outdated, the room was sparkling clean and very comfortable, with no signs of mold or insects. Cable TV, refridgerator, microwave and free Wi-fi are all included. The walls are a bit thin so during the day you will hear noise from traffic and neighbors, though this posed no problem for sleeping because the town itself is so quiet at night. I could occasionally hear the seals barking in the harbor, which was entertaining. If you are looking to spend time in the beautiful town of Morro Bay, and you're on a budget, I definitely recommend the Rodeway Inn. You simply will not find better accomodations for the price. Poorly maintained. Beds were not very good. Price was cheap. Get what you pay for.

We wanted a place just to sleep, so it fit the purpose. Very basic, simple furniture, but clean bed sheets and bathroom. The heater wasn't working great, but it wasn't too cold. The "breakfast" shouldn't be advertised at all. In the reception (very small) area there was coffee, OJ and wrapped pastry. If you only need to spend the night, go for it. Not […] for vacation. The owners were very nice, accomodating people, as was the other staff. The hotel was very cosy, clean, and easy access for all necessities. The price was very reasonable. I have stayed here many times, and plan to continue staying there when I visit Morro Bay...I would highly recommend staying at this site..

The hotel room was clean. However, it smelled like an old hotel. The internet connection was slow, maybe because I was in room #1 - the fartest from the office. The TV reception was grainy on all channels, so don't plan on watchin TV. Overall, it is a place to sleep and shower, not to spend the time. For that is the rest of Morro Bay.

place was well kept. not a roach motel. would stay again for the price. wifi service was weak tho.

Owners very nice, helpful. Hotel in quiet neighborhood, away from main drag but within walking distance of whart and restaurants. Not luxurious but great value for the price.

Husband and I were only staying in Morro Bay for one night and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a hotel. Most reviews said it was clean (which was the most important thing for us) so we chose this hotel. The hotel is definitely low budget in the sense that there are no amenities, but our room was pretty clean and we felt comfortable sleeping in […] the sheets. Walls are thin so we could hear our neighbors coming in later at night and up early in the morning. Check in and check out was easy. Would probably stay here again if we're in Morro Bay and don't feel like spending twice the amount for something slightly better. Les mer

The price was definitely right. So keep in mind you get what you pay for. My hubby and I only had to stay over one night in Morro Bay and we were on a tight budget so this motel worked out fine. There's no AC, no real breakfast (bare minimum), the reception on the TV was really poor, and whoever cleaned the bathroom missed a few hairs from the previous […] guests. The location is great, walking distance to the main strip. The manager was nice as well. If I was going to spend a few days and enjoy the Bay area, I'd try some of the other Inns and pay a little more. Les mer

The biggest Problem is, that the room was not clean. There were spider`s web`s on the ceiling, the Window to the backside was very dirty. The WiFi works not good. The Breakfast is served at the reception, sou you have to take it in your room.The choices are OK.

Nice clean motel. Owners very friendly and answered my questions of where to eat and such. Very simple breakfast with bananas and english muffin or toast. The owners were also the cleaning staff and such. Rooms are older but you can tell that they have pride in there business with the rooms being very clean and well taken care of. Hotel is down end of Morro Bay so walking to restaurants is probably bit far. Looks old from outside with white building and green doors. Ok inside nothing flash. Days Inn on the main road looked much more appealing and popular - not sure on price. Not many people staying there the night we stayed yet we still had couple directly above us and you can […] easily hear them walk around, flushing toilets, having shower and anything else they may have been doing!! Hotel was clean and quiet. It is the last hotel on Main street, near the reserve, but close enough that we could walk to the shops and restaurants. Stay was pleasant.

Satisfied my needs for this trip. Clean, comfortable, and affordable. Excellecnt travel stop or short stay motel.

We usually stay a little closer to the Embarcadero so we can walk, but this time the prices were high since so many like us were checking kids into Cal-Poly. WE had little time so we needed a clean place just to sleep and shower. This was very clean, walls a little thin, but great for what we needed. The room was nothing special, but it was clean and everything worked. There was a definite cleaning supply smell when we first checked in but that went away. It was easy to walk to the Embarcadero area and other shops, easy to find too. If you are looking for just a place to rest your head after being out all day, this is great. The bed was nice, not […] overly comfy, but not uncomfortable either. The pillows were nice too, big and puffy. The hotel looked a little old but still nice. My only complaint was the mirror over the sink had a "wave" in it so it just slightly distorted things which was a little annoying. The other mirror in the room was fine though so it didn't matter too much. The service was good. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because they left our window and curtains open (screen closed) after making up the room. (We stayed two nights) So our belongings were left in plain view of anyone who walked past. Fortunately nothing happened and the area seems to be safe. This place does offer ocean views and sunset views with Morro Rock in the scene. We weren't really at the hotel that long to take advantage of it (we were out and about), but we did see other guests put their chair out in front of their room. We were able to check in early. The cost was so reasonable we thought it might be kind of crummy, but it wasn't at all! We were on a second floor corner room and the view was AMAZING. We were able to stand at our door & window and look out at the ocean. A few things blocked some of the view (a home, a telephone pole etc.) but for the most part we had […] a great stay. The "Morro Rock" was in view as well. The clerk on duty when we checked in had lots of tips on where to eat to save money and things to go see. This is a small hotel, but in a great location..., walking distance from the wharf area. Clean, quiet, comfortable (not a lot of amenities but very adequate). Would recommend for an over-night stay.

Room clean and roomy for two people. Nice little refrigerator and desk in room. Great little room for the price. Breakfast in the morning with fresh fruit and choices of packaged danish was adequate. Clean and bright.

the room was on the small side, but decorated in a beachy theme. it was close to everything. the wifi didnt reach to our room very strongly, but worked well from the parking lot. the breakfast was small but adequate

Hotel standard (chambre propre, spacieuse, confortable, comme tous les hotels de moyenne gamme aux USA finalement) à 50 mètres du port de plaisance, avec le rocher de Morr Bay en guise de vue. Etape sympa sur la côte.

Diesem Hotel merkt man seine 1,5 Sterne an, alles ist schon etwas älter und abgenutzt. Mehrere Tage wöllte ich dort nicht verbringen, eine ist ok. Positiv ist dass es kostenloses Wifi gibt (wenn auch eine sehr schlechte Verbindung) und zum Frühstück gibts immerhin Bananen. Das Frühstücksbuffet muss man allerdings ganz schön suchen...

- ruhige Lage, zwei Strassen weg von der Bay - sauberes Zimmer, dass anfänglich nur etwas komisch gerochen hat, nach Lüften aber okay - keine Heizung vorhanden, hätten diese aber benötigt - Internet nicht vorhanden bzw. hat nicht funktioniert - Frühstück das beste bis jetzt überhaupt: verschiedene Bagels und Toasts, Marmelade, Butter, French Cream, […] weiche Eier, Kaffee, Juice - Essensmöglichkeiten: einige direkt an der Bay, jedoch eher teuer - gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis - Kühlschrank, Mikro und Fön vorhanden Les mer

J'y ai séjournée 1 nuit c'était jeudi 29/09/2011, motel classique avec parking gratuit dans la cour, j'étais à l'étage ! La connexion WIFI bien que gratuite était très très faible, bref j'ai pas pu faire grand chose sur internet ! La chambre était grande, propre, très bonne adresse pour une nuit ! Très bon rapport qualité / prix Sinon dans la ville […] c'était plutôt mort et pas beaucoup de commerces/resto dans les environs ! Les mer

Breakfast Angebot eher pseudo, essen neben der Reception mit 2 Quadratmeter unmöglich, holen und im Zimmer essen. Durchschnittlich, keine Ansprüche, Preis Leistung ok.
