The Orleans Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas

excellent value in every way for the price...love the live music nightly in the Bourbon Street Cafe...wide/well lit hallways are much appreciated...liked the amiable security dude by the elevators...have stayed here multiple times & will continue to do so...almost felt like I was in New Orleans-great ambiance!

The hotel was clean and neat. The only bad thing was the smoke. Shuttle service was a plus. Was there for Cheer did good job with large crowd. Good place for children.

I stayed in one of their suites which was very nice, my only problem is that i asked for a non smoking room and it smelled as if it had been smoked in... eww. Other than that it was a pleasant stay. Theres a bowling alley, movie theater, and child care services. Lots of things to do for families being we were there for a cheerleading competition.

The best part was that the room was clean and didnt have those horrible comforters. The negative i have are: no air circulatjon. We couldnt open the window (not allowed) and had to run the air the whole time which left us congestesd. Plus, being that it was an older hotel, the ventilation in the casino was horrible and it was so smokey. We stayed here […] only because of our daughter's Cheer competition was being held thefe or would never had stayed. Buffeg was breat though. I thought the variety and quality was bettdr then some of the more expensive hotels. If given a choice, i wouldnt stay here again...only if Cheer competition was held here again. Hopefully not. Was in town for a cheer competition. The hotel was so smoke filled that my family was sick. The hotel needs to invest in better ventilation. Next year, even though it makes things a little harder, we will stay at a better ventilated hotel.

I've always liked the Orleans because it is one of the nicer off-strip hotels. It's convenient in that you can actually park your car in the lot and walk in... rather than having to park in a huge parking garage. The rooms are large and generally comfortable. The casino has several very nice restaurants and the staff is always friendly. This time, however, […] my stay was not quite as good as in the past. The parking lot was actually so full all the time that it was difficult to find a spot and I had to walk a considerable distance to get to the hotel. I usually don't complain about the condition of rooms...I don't go to Vegas to stay in my room. But the condition of this room was really poor. The carpet was so stained it was disgusting and, when I arrived, it was not clean at all. The bed was really hard and had 2 fairly flat pillows. Still, I recommend the Orleans for travelers on a budget. Les mer

this hotel situated a few miles from the strip so there isn't the convenience of walking, but the price was right, the rooms were decent and staff was friendly. overall a pleasant experience!

Orleans hotel is within walking distance to the strip, but has a free shuttle to the strip which is great when you are tired from all the walking you will be doing to enjoy the sights. We went to the dinner buffet at one of the five star hotels because we had heard good things about it, but the Orleans buffet had a better selection, price was very reasonable […] and the food tasted better. On our third day in Vegas we were so tired of walking the strip we stayed in the Hotel and went to the movie theatre (very reasonably priced if you go to the matinee), went bowling (the lanes take up a whole floor of the hotel!) the kids played in the arcade and then we ordered in a pizza - it was a great end to our holiday! Great typical hotel amenities. Room dusty, min tv channels, but a SUPER option for those that don't need to stay on the strip &/or have a tight budget.

The New Orleans in Las Vegas in a above average casino hotel for a low price. The room and service are good. The location is off the strip, which I prefer, but in a less than prime area of Vegas. I would recommend the hotel to anyone who wants a decent hotel and accommodations for a reasonable price.

Excellent off strip hotel with everything under one roof. Good quality restaurants. bowling alley, movie theatre and excellent promotions even for the over 50's like myself. Look forward to my next stay at the Orleans especially with the rates I get from hotels.com

OVERALL GREAT STAY, IT IS CLOSE TO AIRPORT, SHORT CAB RIDE. EASY TO GET IN/OUT OF HOTEL & PARKING. DIDNOT NEED THAT NICE OF SUITE, BUT VERY ENJOYABLE. THANK YOU.

This is a comfortable and friendly place - close enough to the strip so that the shuttle bus ride is not too long. Nice restaurants - bowling alley - movie theaters - liquor store. Just about everything you might need.

Hotel was clean and the staff was nice. The rooms do not seem to have been updated but everything was in working condition and good shape. You must pay for internet service each day. The rate is rather high, too. The only free internet is in the coffee lounge, which is right next to the casino. Overall it was a great rate for a good hotel.

Little more than walking distance from the Strip, you will need to take the shuttle. a Great place for gaming. The Buffet was wonderful, loved the Sunday Brunch. The price was right for a very spacious room, No flat screen T.V.'s. We will stay at The New Orelans again.

This was our first time at this hotel. the rooms are great cozy & roomy. the valet parkers were extemely friendly & informative. we choose this hotel because we were traveling with our twelve yr old son. this hotel offers plenty for a family to enjoy.

my room was quite nice, clean and on a non-smoking floor, a big plus for me! hotel has steady complimentary bus service to the Strip and is close to the airport. I would recommend staying here.

The Orleans was very nice. Only bad thing is not in the midst of the action/excitement of the stip. Hotel did offer a shuttle to the strip which was great except that it could run a little later than 12:30 AM.

This was my first time staying at this hotel however I frequent Las Vegas to gamble semi regularly. The good side of this hotel is if you bring children there is more to keep them busy while your there. The place offers a nice sized bowling alley and huge movie theatre with arcade which both are extremely reasonably priced especially being in a hotel […] / casino. The buffet is also extremely cheap and worth the money. HOWEVER their rewards program is absolute garbage, don't expect to see much in returns from your gambling at all. They quite possibly could have the worst elevators in all of Las Vegas. The gambling variety is geared more towards the 10 dollar and under crowd, lotta slot machine and a handfull of tables. I sat down to play a game a blackjack and the dealer looked like someone just told her that her house burned down. So two hands into the game I asked her what was wrong and she pointed to her tip bin and said "I'll be happy when I start seeing tips" extremely sarcastically. If this is the type of gambling staff this casino employs then I don't know how they manage to stay in business. Like the title says, if your in town for a family vacation or similar its good and wallet friendly. If your there to gamble or enjoy the traditional "Vegas Experience" avoid this place like the plague. Les mer

Hotel was clean and nice. Love the set up in the rm. Bed was not that all comfortable but for the short stay I had in Vegas, this hotel was very clean and nice.

It was a really nice hotel, staff are really nice and the rooms are great especially for the price. However, it is way off the strip so you would definitely need some form of transport to see other places in Vegas.

After paying up front at hotels.com, I was hit up for a $6.00 per day Resort Fee when checking out. I guess I have a different idea of a resort. Read the find print,

I was very satisfied with my recent stay at The Orleans. This was my 5th stay this year--I have no complaints. The location is very convenient for me. I also like the fact that there is a variety of restaurants to choose from. The rooms are comfortable, clean and roomy. I would definitely recommend The Orleans to anybody.

Great place to stay. Better than anticipated. Rooms were big, clean and comfortable. Service was awesome. I love the fact that they have a food court for reasonable priced food if you are not in the mood to spend $50-$70/lunch.....They have Sbarro, Fudruckers, Subway, Fridays, Baskin Robins, etc. Great for families. Movie theatre, bowling Alley, etc. […] Also have a nice high-end prime rib restaraunt that we really enjoyed. One of the reasons we stayed there as it was close to a family member who lives in Vegas. It sits off the strip, so it' easy to get in and out of the hotel with out stress. Valet is complimentry if you stay there, and it's not a madhouse so you can get your car pretty quick. I would stay there again as for the money, it's a great value. Les mer

We visited the Orleans right before Christmas and being the slow season in Las Vegas we were able to get our room for a great rate. We chose this hotel because the $6/day resort fee was less than the other "no resort fee" hotels wanted to charge for a daily parking fee. Also the Orleans had plenty for our teenage kids to do while we enjoyed the casino […] in the evenings. For the low rate, I could deal with the outdated room which included peeling wallpaper, ripped lamp shade, and even a gash in the top sheet of the bed. But what I can't deal with is the disgusting smell of the bath towels in this place! We had them replaced each day, and each day they smelled like a combination of sewage and maple syrup...not a good way to start off our day. Come on Housekeeping, invest in some chlorine bleach already, it's not that expensive! The maid also left a wet cleaning rag on our bed after she cleaned one day...that was fun to come back to. In general, I'd say the Housekeeping Dept at the Orleans needs a makeover. Les mer

All of the hotel rooms have these heavy doors with metal on metal door jams. So every time someone enters or exits their room, it sounds like an explosion. Trust me, I'm not exaggerating. It is so loud that you hear all the doors close down the entire hall. It wouldn't be that bad if the rooms were sound-proofed just a little bit. But you can hear everything […] in all the surrounding rooms and the hallway. It's a cheap fix to replace the door jams, but they have just let their guests suffer. The casino is nice and fun. The rooms sound like a 4th of July parade. Too bad. Les mer

Rate was good and room comfortable. Staff service was average to good. Restaurants had good food and choices. Casino smells smokey/musty. Non-smoker so I needed eye drops and breaks from the smokers. Like to see a couple shuttle trips to/from the airport during am/pm peaks.

Hotel and room were fine, but the bed wasn't very comfortable. Being 1 mile east of the strip keeps it close, but away from the constant traffic there. Casino is nice and so are the dealers. The food at the restaurant and buffet were good, not great. But then again, you're not paying the exhorbitant prices demanded by others.

It was a very enjoyable stay. I would recommend the Orleans to other people.
