The perfect place if you have kids... what can I say that hasn't been said, from the lazy river, the heated pools, the kid friendly atmosphere from beginning to end is fantastic! Our four year old thought breakfast buffets were the bomb topped off with visits to Sea World just a mile away, lots of smores at the fire pit, playground sessions and movies […] on the lawn ...what fun! If you're looking for a great relaxing place to stay and want your kids to feel comfortable and safe, then plan to visit the HYATT hill country, you won't regret it! Les mer

Wonderful Hotel for the family. Our kids especially enjoyed the lazy river and heated pools. The food was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. I only wish the beds were queen size instead of double. This was our third visit and we will be back!

Super fun place for kids! Lots of oak trees, almost completely cover the lazy river! Heated pool with lots to do at all ages, we LOVED this place.......almost a vacation in itself! Food is expensive, though, typical resort prices. This hotel exceeded all my expectations! The entire family loved the grounds - there were SO many activities: lazy river, water basketball, bicycle rentals, playground, golf course, game room, nature walk, hot tubs, smores firepit, basketball court, etc. The fitness center was state of the art - with everything you could possibly need - treadmills, […] weight machines, free weights, steps, medicine balls, therapy balls, bands, etc! When we arrived, our room wasn't clean, but they offered a new room and comped our breakfast. The location is fabulous - one mile from SeaWorld and 15 miles from Six Flags and the RiverWalk, I highly recommend the Hyatt Regency Hill! Les mer

Love it ,had activities we were not expecting when we got there like movie for the kids .The heated lazy river open till might night PERFECT IF YOU HAVE KIDS !

I was pleased with the hotel and grounds. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only complaint I have is with the comfort of the room. I booked a double bed room for 5 of us. (3 kids). In booking, 5 were acceptable; however, they would not allow a roll-away bed due to fire safety. My youngest had to sleep on the floor. The double beds were small […] and hard...so if you like hard beds, this would be for you. None of us received a decent night sleep. But to be fair, the hotel was gorgeous and the amenities were good. It would be perfect for a family with small kids or a couple on their own. (I just value a good nights sleep.) Les mer

The staff was gracious, helpful and accommodating, the rooms exceedingly comfortable, and the food we had at the cafe and at the bar was good. We were pleased with our stay.

The hotel was s hit for the kids. We will be back.

My two daughters and I recently stay at the Hyatt Hill Country Resort for a long Thanksgiving weekend. The hotel was beautifully decorated with Christmas trees throughout. The activities delighted my younger daughter and even kept my teenager engaged! This will be a trip we will long remember.

This is a great place to stay when visiting San Antonio, TX. Is not close of downtown or shopping area, but is not far either. The food is excellent. The service too. We just got hurt with the bed frame, thats the only thing I will change from the room-hotel. And the over charge for the internet use. Thank you.

The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and couteous - especially room service and front desk. Twice when ordering meals (once from room service and once from menu in restaurant), items listed on the meny were not brought out when meal was served. Also did not know about the per night/day resort fee until we checked out […] and were charged extra. For a fall stay when the pool bar and towel service are close - thought the resort was a little pricy. Les mer

Nice hotel but very pricey especially when a resort fee is added to the price and compared to other hotels with similar amenities. It has a golf course but we are not golfers so I believe that is part of the cost.

We absolutely loved it. Having an "adult pool" was wonderful. It had waterfalls and a great place for taking a relaxing nap. The lazy river was also great. My husband loved the golf. I'd stay again in a heartbeat!!!

The hotel was wonderful but for someone in a wheelchair--the beds were high. The shower bench was hard and had nothing good to hold onto to make it easy to transfer from the chair to the bench. My husband doesn't usually complain about accessibility but he had some difficulties and he is fit so someone with lesser upper body strength may have issues. […] On a lighter note, the people in the General Store were awesome. We would go there in the morning for the best/hearty breakfast tacos. Our 2 and 7 year old loved the lazy river and so did I. The smore's we made at the fire pit each night were yummy. On Sunday night they brought in zoo animals and the kids got to see a porcupine, 2 fingered sloth and some other animals. They showed good family movies outside on the other nights we were there. We came to town to go to Sea World but the girls would have been happy with staying at the hotel. All the guys who valeted the cars were very nice and attentive and didn't linger for tips which made me want to tip more. Dwight helped us get our bags upstairs and was very cute with our girls. Samantha checked us in and had a bubbly personality that made you feel welcome. I liked the added touch of fruit in the bowls for guests to take for free too---I can't wait to go back. I also want to go stay at the other Hyatt Wild Oaks Ranch--4 minutes away. The only bummer was the rooms needed a little updating. Les mer

Love this place, but very expensive if you are only sleeping there.

We went there with two children and couldnt have been happier. This is a great place for families or if you just want to get away. The front desk, cleaning crew and even because at breakfast time were extremely kind. We will return.

There is an amazing long, winding, man-made lazy river that is fun and relaxing for all ages...toddlers, kids, adults any age. There is also a sister Hyatt property nearby with another lazy river that is a totally different experience. It looks more like a pool, and there was much more sun. They were both a blast!! We thoroughly enjoyed every meal […] and snack we had at the hotel. We read reviews about Antlers, the steak restaurant, but went anyway. We were really pleased. We had great service. Their bread was served with some amazing whipped butter. Had the best wedge salad ever. Steaks were perfect. Sides were so-so, nothing wonderful, but overall it was well worth it. Don't leave town without having dinner at Acenar and Rosario's, both about 15 mins away. Both really neat places and delicious food. Les mer

There was mold all over the bathroom; there were no tubes to float the Lazy RIver andit was too packed to float. Breakfast wasa outrageously high: rooms extremely outdated. Rooms overpriced AND they charge for internet. We have been at this hotel in the past- it has gone way down hill and was a horrible waste of money. Coffee pot "blew up", was smoking and sparking....door fell off the refrigerator. Spots on the linens/towels. Definitely NOT worth the $.. I will tell my family and friends Not to stay there!

Great family property...ongoing activities to keep older kids occupied. Not so great for toddlers. The rooms need a bit of updating. The ordering to rm is nice when floating the lazy river and you dont want anything to get wet.

Went in July 11. Pool area is awesome. The hotel is a little older and the rooms require a complete refresh. The bathroom was like a 70's horror film. Beds were comfortable. Room was generally clean for being old. We had to wait over an hour to check in (arrived around 4ish) and then were checked into a handicap room. The manager gave us $150 for our […] time, but that was quickly used up as their prices at the buffet and for drinks are outrageous. Frozen margarita at the pool was $15 for a 12oz cup. Breakfast buffet ran $125 for a family of four. After spending over $600 at Sea World, another $500 at the Hyatt made for an expensive (but nice) weekend. All-in-all, I would stay here again, but during off season when prices are lower. Les mer

This is a great hotel for people with children and there are lots of children. We thought it was a resort & spa and they do have an excellent spa. However, the layout of the hotel is not for the disabled or elderly as the restaurants are located all at one end and the rooms are at a great distance from them. Our friends, who are disabled were placed […] in a room at the furtherest end of the building and finally gave up on walking to the restaurants. Our teen-age grandchildren enjoyed the pools, but the "underground" was a joke as the were the only ones there. The spa for teens was nonexistent with the "funky colors" as described on the web site. We left a day early as we felt out of place, bored, and that the hotel is misnamed. Les mer

This place is NOT for older folks who have problems walking FAR places. Out room was too far to the eating places. Our side of the hotel had NO eating places. The ride in the golf cart as promoted was for only one passenger at a time & no ride back that we could figure. The walk to the spa was so far & complicated that I needed a hospital stay to recover..... […] or at least I thought so! The Massages and facility at the Spa were wonderful. I would never go here again. Save it for all the kids & young parents who seem to love it.... and I enjoy their enjoyment. But not for me. Les mer

My husband and I chose this hotel because we love the water. There is a Lazy River that winds around the pools. The water was warm, and the river was shaded by beautiful trees. We loved it! We then found out that there is a sister resort nearby that we could take the shuttle and use their facilities. We loved those as well. Wonderful service and very family oriented. Lots of fun--lazy river, water basketball, sandy beach, game room, nature path, horse rides. Activities for kids every day. Lots of food choices and quick pick ups at the General Store with yummy coffee and breakfast burritos before work.

Our first time at this resort. Famliy of 4. Staff was friendly. Rooms were fine. bathroom a little out dated and needed some minor repairs. would really consider staying again but upgrading to a much larger suite. has everything for a family that loves to swim. room service is great for kids and cheaper, too!

We spent 4 days here with our 5 year old son and 7 year old daughter. They/we had so much fun. There is lots to do and the kids had a blast. Movies on the lawn at night were a huge hit with our kids. I will definitely stay here again!

Hyatt Hill Country in San Antonio, TX is a great place to stay for families with young children. As a resident in San Antonio, my family & I stay here at least once every summer. Our most recent stay was a slight dissappointment but I am hopefull that the uncomfortable beds & extremely slow cleaning service is a small inconvenience that can be fixed […] given the beautiful surroundings & the hotel's excellent attention to family entertainment. We were also not able to sqeeze in a couple's massage at the last minute during our stay due to a lack of massage therapists available. My family & I will definetely give this hotel one more try either this summer or next & hope our next stay will be as wonderful as all of our stays before this most recent visit. Les mer

Hotel was great, golf and spa are expensive. The only negative was that they try sell you a time share.

We really enjoyed this hotel. It is maintained so well. The grounds were beautiful. The pool and lazy river were so clean and the natural setting for both was something to see. This is a great place for kids. We loved the movies on the lawn and the craft activities spread throughout our trip. The best part was the Lazy River. Pool could have been bigger. The baby pool was very small. The larger "activity" pool had lots of footballs, tennis balls, volley balls and basket balls flying around. Had a movie on the lawn on Saturday night, so that was good. But what is up with charging $3 for a snowcone? Food at the buffets was ok, but would have […] liked more options. Didn't like that everyone goes down in the morning and throws a towel down on the chair and then leaves. Hyatt should have a system to fix that. Also, on the last day, our toilet was stopped up. We told them about 8:30 in the morning, and it wasn't fixed by the time we checked out at 1:00. Les mer

Be ready to have a wonderful time and your kids as well !! So close to sea world, pool hours are great,marshmallow in fire place,movie in patio with pop corn!!,all very enjoyable, lots of kids doing all kind of activities,biking, ping pong, face paint.... The best is that kids sleep like babies!!!! Can't wait to go back!!!

The hotel is a great place to stay, but there's really a sense that a few areas of the hotel need a major facelift.(including the outside of the building) The lobby area is very spacious, but the furniture and overall decor seems a bit dated and looks like it's seen better days. Additionally, Charlie's Long Bar needs a major renovation. If I am going […] to pay $6.00 for a beer (pre-gratuity), the surroundings should be more comfortable. The pool areas are beautiful, however, and a good time was had by all in that respect. My only other complaints are the prices of the food and beverages ($6.00 for a bowl of oatmeal for breakfast prior to gratuity - $20 for a breakfast buffet--and $9.00 for a small margarita at the pool-- over $11.00 after they included the mandatory gratuity. This is in addition to a $15 a day "resort fee" and it's $10.00 a day if you want to hook into their WiFi network. I can get free WiFi at the Holiday Inn Express, just sayin.... Les mer

My wife and I love this hotel. For those looking for negatives, there are only 2...price and there is way to much shade over the pool/lazy river areas. Aside from that this place is top notch from the moment you pull up to the spa to the s'mores to the people working there.
