The main reason we stayed here was due to their dog friendliness and satisfactory reviews online. The staff service was very good and the hotel was clean and economical which was all we needed during our long road trip. Arcata was the first town once we entered into California from the north that didn't have sketchy motels. The area has lots of restaurants […] and a supermarket. Les mer

Stayed for 5 nights. Very pleasant atmosphere. Nice clerks. Felt very safe. Had a great time. Great indoor pool.
"Best Night of the Trip"
We spent 3 nights in the redwoods up on the Northern Coast and stayed in 3 hotels while up there. This was by far the best hotel we stayed in. They had a spa that was so delightful on our aching bones and muscles and the kid loved the pool. The bedrooms were immaculate and even though we got a smoking room it didnt smell overwhelming like stale smoke. […] The beds were comfortable and the blankets and sheets were not rough and were a pleasure to sleep in. They had the channel that I wanted to watch on the TV, USA Monday nights :-). The breakfast selections was one of the best of any hotel I have ever stayed in that didnt have a restaurant. The staff were friendly and willing to help as needed. The walls were a little thin and we were a little disturbed by our neighbors upstairs but this is definitely a must stay hotel when in Arcata. It seems to be a little off the beaten path but we had not trouble finding it coming from Klamath, CA. I am going to book here again when I go to Arcata it was just a superior experience. There is restaurants nearby and a small shopping center and if you go south 10-15 minutes there is Target and Eureka. It is pleasantly situated within distance of everything you might need. Les mer
"Confort Inn Arcata"
The Hotel was clean though out, I forgot to bring toothpaste and they were ready with a tube for me. They had a good Breakfast ready from 6am to 10am. My only complaint was that our room was not cleaned once on our 3 day stay. We made sure we left our room by 11 am every day, but there was no attempt to clean our room. Stayed here to check out Humboldt State University and the surrounding area. This is a great budget friendly hotel and it exceeded our expectations in both cleanliness and service. This of course is not a luxury hotel but it was clean, friendly, and safe. Free breakfast was a money saver that we appreciated. We enjoyed our stay and will stay there again […] when visiting the area. We loved HSU and Arcata! Les mer

if u dont make it down bright n early like 6am 7am in the morning then u miss out on breakfast. went dow 2 get a lil bite 2 eat @ 9am & there was nothing, looked like they never even served anything.

had to have both room keys redone each day (both the one I carried and my wife carried). beds were too hard. toilet didn't flush properly - had to hold handle down until done. maid unplugged laptop charger but didn't plug it back in. we finished business a little earlier on the last day than originally planned and we were glad we could leave early (even […] though the last night was already paid for). TV picture wasn't real clear, and ABC didn't come in at all. Les mer

"Clean, but not a great value"
Maybe it was the July 4th weekend, but for the price that we paid I expected a bit nicer a room in a better location. The place was a stuffy and the air conditioning was loud. On the plus side the rooms were very clean and the breakfast was filling.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. It seemed a little pricy to us, however, all hotels in the area were too pricy for what they were. We enjoyed the breakfast choices and the pool especially. The room was clean and nice. Good location.

I am on the road bout 125 days p/year and this was by far the dirtiest hotel room yet. I have stayed in other Confort Inns and was satisfed with my stay and experience. This hotel represents evrything wrong. The room was filty, carpet not only stained. But, areas that are worn to the floor. When I opened the door I thought I would barf from the odor. […] I had to go across the street and purchase pinesol, carpet and air freshner. It didn't help. I left and drove for awhile and pulled over to a rest area and finished my night. Iwould have rather slept on the dirt than that room. All I can say if you stop here insist to the manager on duty that you want to see the room he/she will give you before you sign on the dotted line. I was not able to get a refund because I booked and prepaid throgh Hotels.Com...which should give me a free room somewhere else. Les mer
