"Good hotel"
I wasn't looking to spend a great deal of cash. And this place fit my budget. After all you go an a trip to enjoy yourself and not be stuck in the hotel room all day. I've stayed here 2 times already. And both times is been a great stay. Rooms are super spacious.
"A 'price-performer' close to skiing, restaurants"
Staff is very accommodating, room is larger than the competition, location is convenient to restaurants & skiing. View on the back is another building, and back rooms are dark.

"OK for the price"
Not a bad place. The room was clean and bright, but the bedding was old and stained and the Pillows were flat. The temperature was hard to control and the heater blower ran all the time. Their breakfast was poorly done and their was no place to set.
"Helpful staff, Difficult heat situation"
The room was not well insulated and the heater was incredibly loud. However, the staff provided an extra blanket and was very helpful with all of our questions. The hotel was a good fit for our needs.

This was a quick trip for spring skiing. I wanted to find an inexpensive place to stay within walking distance of the Village (shops, restaurants and the gondola to Canyon Lodge). EconoLodge Wildwood provided this. The manger even allowed me to check in early after getting soaked putting cables on my car's tires when it started snowing as I arrived […] in Mammoth. A man with a heart. It may not be the Ritz, but it's certainly not a dump. Lots of room to toss your wet ski clothing around in. Reliable wi-fi connection. Big bed; firm matrress; plenty of towels. "Is what it is."
Not a bad place for the price. The two queen room was rather large. Could have slept 8 in that room. No very clean, heater took quite a while to heat the room. Was a great place for people going on a boarding trip not needing a high quality place.

"Large Rooms!!!"
I love staying here for the large 2 queen bed room with pullout couch, desks, microwave and fridge. Way better than Motel 6 down the street but still affordable. There is also DirectTV and free wifi. The staff is a pleasure to deal with and extremely helpful with requests. Will stay here again!
"Mammoth lakes Econolodge"
This motel was fine for sleeping. Beds were comfy but room was small. Bathroom was clean but basic. The breakfast was not worth eating. That could definitely be improved.

We walked in to a room that was freezing cold! The room did not heat up for a couple of hours. Everything we touched was cold! The room smelt like paint when we walked in. We would not recommend this hotel.

overall stay was ok night desk person wasnt very knowledgable prepaid my room and homie wanted all my credit card info anyway not cool heater thermostat was jacked up so the heat was on all nite i had to keep turning it off to get the room to cool off that was really the only problem...
"Excellent stay"
I had an extremely pleasant experience during my recent trip to Mammoth. Management was very accommodating with a couple requests that I had and would recommend anyone to stay here. The double queen bed room is nice and spacious. The WiFi worked great and had excellent speed and reliability. Everything was better than the usual cheap stay down the street […] at Motel 6. "Not expecting much..."
This facility was very rundown. Bathtub was chipped, carpet was old and dirty, TV did not work, could hear everything in nearby rooms. The management seemed to be trying to paint and fix up the place. They did let me watch the World Series in another room.

its a nice Motel in an beautiful little town. we enjoied the Stay and the rooms are clean and absolutely ok for this price.

The exterior, parking lot and walkways of the Econolodge look worse than the rooms themselves. We got lucky and had a very large, bright room, but I understand that some of them are much smaller and very dark. Stayed here after a long road trip through Death Valley so just a place to shower and sleep really. Room a bit smelly. Breakfast taken in the amall reception area, not much seating. Bit of a strange area in summer. Would not wish to stay for more than the night. Staff/owners very friendly though.

I found no problem with thisparticular facility.. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable and their continental breakfast is very adquate for anyone staying there even with children . The management were very friendly and helpful, also the shuttle bus is right in out front of lodge to take you around the area also it is walking distance to the […] local town. I was very pleased. "Short Stay"
We only had one night it was to break up the travel time to Lake Tahoe. Very warm welcome and friendly staff. Continental Breakfast was very good. Will stay again.
As we entered the Econo-Lodge parking lot and saw a rather old, needed to be painted exterior, our initial reaction was of concern. Once we entered our room, the decor was very outdated but clean. We were satisfied with the room and the friendliness of the office staff. We do suggest that the coffee pots in each room be removed and replaced as both […] of our rooms had coffee pots that were grungy inside. Very friendly and helpful staff, the location was great, too. We took a walk at 10 PM without feeling scared and Mammoth Lakes is such a cute town that walking should be part of the stay. Breakfast was cereals and oatmeal, and donuts and cookies, as well as coffee and hot chocolate. I missed some fruit or yogurt, though.

"Just Fine"
No problem with this budget place. Although a spider crawled out from under my pillow when I arrived, I expect that from an Inn located in a forested area. The staff was nice. The appliances worked. The bed was OK. It was convenient to all stores needed. Basically for the price - just fine.

"Dirty Hotel"
I would have taken the chairs in the room and take them to the dump. They were literally filthy. I wouldn't even sit on one without a plastic grocery bag under me. Very run down.

This is a place to stay for those who are on a budget (with the cost of a lift ticket, you want to save where you can). The hotel is on the low end for price and quality: furniture is cheap, some rooms have peeling paint, and the coffee makers look like they're 30 years old. On my recent visit, I requested a (queen bed) room on the 2nd floor facing Main St. These rooms get better light, have a view to the mountains, are roomier, and aren't affected by activity from the rest of the hotel. (The hotel is set back from the main drag, so there's not a lot of street noise.) When I entered my room - one of the corner rooms with windows on two sides - I got a strong odor that seemed like the smell of new paint or carpet, or some unpleasant spray. Kenny at the front desk didn't know what it was, but said he could get me another room elsewhere in the hotel immediately, or a room in the front the next day. I decided to suffer for one day in the smelly room and moved the next day into an unsmelly, even-roomier King room. Kenny has always been extremely friendly and helpful, and gives good advice regarding the mountain and nearby dining. The spa gets hot quickly and is not a bad place to hang out. Breakfast is low-end: donuts you'd get in a box at the supermarket, machine-served juices and hot cocoa, plus cereal and oatmeal. Basic, but perfectly edible. Les mer

An older inn, close to the village (walking distance). Easy in and easy out. Great value if that's your concern. Most hotels/motels are somewhat noisy and you might not sleep your best, but you can sleep when you back in your own bed.Thanks to whoever left my wife the Dos XX in the fridge, she loved it (I always drink and When I drink I prefer Coors […] Light).
