The room was clean, but the beds were slightly uncomfortable. Internet wasn't working as well, very low connection. Resort fee paid for the parking and Internet access.

Perfect location, comfortable and clean rooms, high quality staff- definitely recommend it!!!!

We made all plans over the internet, with no previous information about the hotel or the area. Although it was easy to drive right past the hotel on the main street (there is a sign) once we were there we were surprised how large the site was. We opted for a jr suite to get a large bed, and it was a lovely room with loads of space, beautiful decor (tans, […] creams, blacks), plush towels and bath products, and plenty of outlets to recharge everything at once. The staff couldn't have been nicer. I'd highly recommend the hotel to guests, and I'd highly recommend to the hotel owners that they create such a place in Hilo and Kona. Les mer

After researching a huge amounts of hotels we opted for this hotel since the ratings and comments were excellent. And we were certainly not disappointed. After 30+ hours travelling from the UK were pretty jaded to say the least so it was great to get into our nice comfy room. We had a great time, it was easy and convient to get to places in Kihei and […] beyond from the hotel. The gym was excellent, spa was great , parking and wifi was free and the room was brilliant. We opted for the junior suite so we got a nice big room and a microwave which was very handy. Bed was super comfy and there was plenty of storage space. We even managed to have a little bit of sea view from the balcony.. This trip was part of a stay where we spent half in Kihei and half at the Grand Wailea in Wailea. To be honest I would rather have stayed on at Maui Coast - the Grand Wailea was over rated to the max and they charge you a fortune for anything/everything.. and Wailea is a little bit further away from the main attractions (if you want to go to the Volcano, travel to the Upcountry and Lahaina). Plus it is further away from the restaurants and cafes in Kihei..So I would warmly recommend Maui Coast to anyone. Les mer

We extended an overnight business trip to a leisure five nights stay. South Kihei is a great location. The hotel is across the street from a very nice and clean swimming and snorkeling beach, within walking distance to lots of shops, restaurants and clubs with music. The property was very clean, the staff very courteous and friendly, and the service […] first class. Our room was very quiet and the lanai was great to dry swim suits and running clothes. The resort fee is a good deal considering the free bicycles, free shuttle service to local restaurants, and towels to take to the beach. We rented a car and visited most of the island, from beaches to up country, the mountain tops, and Lahaina. Kihei is centrally located to anywhere on the island. The Hotels.com discounted rate was a steal. We would go back. Les mer

Excellent location and great value in a modern hotel. A little disappointed with the $17.50 per day resort fee that was cleverly left off the total cost until you arrive at check in.

Nice hotel, rooms a little dated but comfortable, free laundry is handy, good value for money, has a resort fee, not really a fancy resort but some families might use the facilities.

We enjoyed our 3 day stay at the Maui Coast Hotel. It was clean, quiet, and the pool was relaxing. We especially liked the poolside bar and food service, as well as the restaurant. Convenient location with ample parking.

I have been staying here regularly now and this is the first bad experience I've had. The hotel is priced right for what you get. Basically clean, nothing special. The staff is pleasant. My room was swarming with masquitos which promted me to request a change in rooms at 2 o'clock in the morning. It was a bummer.

This hotel has five star amenities--Gilchrist and Soame toiletries, granite bathroom counters, and plush bedding. Across the main road is the beach. The lobby is open and airy and the staff is very friendly and professional. I'd stay here again any time I'm in the area.

Stayed here for 3 nights because all of the "higher end" places in Wailea were booked. We were pleasantly surprised. The 1-bedroom suite was spacious and convenient (especially with young kids). The pool was fine and my son really liked the kiddy pool. Beach is about a 5 minute walk from the rooms (down the road & across the street). Convenient location […] with plenty of restaurant choices. Resort fees, which are mandatory, are excessive. We don't use any of the facilities, other than parking, so don't understand why we have to pay.

This is our second time staying at the Maui Coast Hotel and the second time was just as great. It is so close to everything, great big bcomfortable beds, great workout facilities, and a great staff. Would recommend the Maui Coast to anyone looking for a great place to stay on Maui. The hotel was located in a very convienient location. The pool was very nice and the happy hour at the pool bar was exceptional.

We had a nice garden side room with a lanai. However, the cooling tower vented directly adjacent to our lanai. It was like relaxing in the exhaust blast of a 767.

This hotel is one of the best hotels we have visited under our RTW trip. The gym is absolutely the next best hotel gym I have ever used, second only to Radisson Blu in Jo'burg, South Africa. I can warmly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful hotel. The room was very spacious. We had king bed, sofa, table for two, fridge, microwave and balcony/patio. The bathroom was a bit small, but well appointed. The Maui Coast hotel is located across a fairly busy road and a short walk from a great beach. I thought for the cost the location was great. The hotel room was plenty of space for two people. It had all the in room amenities you would expect. I would note that the bathroom was functional but tiny. We were on the ground floor near the entrance but it […] was still very quiet. We enjoyed the bar/food service near the pool. The pool is not tiny but the website's photo is a little misleading for size. Parking was not an issue. The landscaping was attractive and all the areas we were in were well maintained. The staff was friendly, always greeting us and asking if we needed anything. We did not think the Spices restaurant was worth eating at a 2nd time. There are a lot of other good eating options within walking distance. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a reasonably inexpensive hotel (for Maui). Les mer

Centrally located on S.Kihei road within easy walking distances to beaches, delis, pubs etc. Only stayed one night before moving to rental home but we would most certainly stay again. The bathrooms are a little tight and may be an issue for longer term stays for a couple sharing, but this is a very minor thing. Great free parking, pool and restaurant […] onsite as well. My family and I spent four days at Maui Coast hotel, where we rented three rooms. All three rooms were large, clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and diligent. The travel agent located in the lobby was very helpful in organizing various activities. All the family - grand parents, children and grand children - enjoyed the pool area, which is not […] very large but fun! Hidden Gem The Best little resort for the money. I would rather stay here then at the Grand Wailea. Rooms were very nice, clean, staff was excellent.I definitely will be going back to the Maui Gold Coast.

We stayed at the Maui Coast from December 21 to December 31st. We loved the hotel. Our room was great, the cleaning staff went above and beyond, our room was super clean. Front desk staff were helpful and very pleasant to interact with. We loved how close the Maui Coast was to the beaches and shops. Great location. We were not overly fussy about the […] restaurant "Spices," connected to the Maui Coast, however there were many other great restaurants within walking/driving distance. This hotel provides a good value. Rooms are clean and modern. It is well located, 2 minutes from the beach and close by any tourist attraction. The hotel provides lots of services (pool, tennis court, bicycles, shuttle service, ...) which is a plus. Only negative is that the hotel staff can be somewhat dry and business like. Beach is close and restaurants, gas station, ABC mart. Easy to access highway 31. Nice scenery along South Kihei street. Activity desk knows many things in Maui. Fitness center and tenis court is neat.

Me and my wife enjoyed the Maui Coast Hotel during our stay. The staff was good, the room was what nice and comfortable, and the location was good. It was across the street from the beach and easy to get to. Complimentary mountain bikes was a good plus. Minus, would be the weak internet access. It was not good at all. My Ipad barely worked. Great location in Kihei, a lot of places walking distance, such as restaurants and beaches. I had the one bed room, it was a beautiful room, highly clean, great mattress, great shower, even a nice balcony with an decent view. The gym is a very nice gym for a hotel of that size, I was very impressed and used it every day. The staff was very friendly […] and helpful, including the front desk, concierge and other staff members. Their shuttle service is also very convenient and included in price. the only thing I had problems is the wireless, it would go on and off and it would be kind of annoying, but they had computers in two locations that worked decently. Great hotel and worth value. Rooms spacious and clean with microwave and fridge. Located right across street from beautiful public beach. Close to shopping, grocery store. Would stay there again.

This is the 4th year in a row that I have stayed here. I own a time share but always stay here prior to taking the timeshare. Its so nice being able to get my first snorkel trip in at the nice beach across the road. The hotel is very clean and the staff friendly and helpful The fact the airlines used it speaks volumes. The live bands by the pool are […] a nice bonus and the food at the on site restaurants is good and reasonably priced. The only downside about this place is the stupid resort fee they charge on top of the room charge. Les mer

There are a lot of hotel choices in Kihei on here, and this one by far was one of the best. We had a rental, and proceeded to drive around Kihei to look at all of the other hotel choices that we were considering. What we found... that they all looked like dumps. The Wyndham looked decent, but the rest were dumps. I wont mention them by name, but let's […] just say that most were condos either on or across the street from a beach. Pictures do lie sometimes. The hotel was clean and well maintained. The lobby was spacious. They had free WIFI and a small business center. Their maids REALLY clean your room. The pool was clean and decent. They had live entertainment at the pool the 2 times that I went down there. The beach was right across the street. The access road to the main highway was right around the corner. Parking was free. They give you 2 complimentary bottles of water per day in the mini fridge. LOL They also have tennis courts in the back of the property. There is a $17.50/day resort fee that includes free bike rentals, etc. We stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend, and I saw a minimum of 3 flight crews checking in. So if this place is good enough for captains and their crews, then it's good enough for you. Les mer

This was a great Hotel with beach access directly across the street. We enjoyed the pool and pool side cafe, especially the great entertainers in the evening. My wife particularly enjoyed the half dozen pillows on the bed. Only issue was the HVAC unit below us. We couldn't enjoy the balcony due to the noise.

Great location in South Kihei across the street from beautiful, sandy beaches. Easy driving access and very welcoming staff!!! 4 of us stayed in a Junior Suite and it worked out very well. The pool and hot tub were lovely. The decor was also great. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely hotel, but main beaches and sites required a fair bit of travel. About 45 minutes or so to larger attractions. Good selection of restaurants and local touristy shops within driving distance.

relatively inexpensive hotel compared to Wailea area. Close to everything in south Maui. Not your big glam resport type hotel, but excellent value. Very clean, friendly professional staff. Beach is right across the street. Pool bar is loud and fun or quiet and serene depending on your mood.

Kihei is a prime location in Maui, as you are close to everything: beaches, short trip to get on the road to Hana and short trip to Lahaina. Hotel had decent amenities: hotel bar, pool and hot tub. Very good service and the staff was very friendly. Price was low for comparable hotels. Very enjoyable.
