Hotell med relativt bra beliggenhet vest i Berlin. Fin lobby med bar og sittegrupper. Hotell gangene oppovere i etasjene ga meg et innblikk i 70/80 tallet og fremstod som gammelt. Rommet var helt greit med TV, pult og store vinduer ut mot en rolig bakgård. Rengjøringen av rommet var så som så - spesielt vasken så ikke ut til å ha blitt vasket spesielt […] nøye. Ellers hyggelig betjening og helt grei frokost (ekstrakostnad). Internett var ikke inkludert, noe som egentlig var litt skuffende. Alt i alt et helt kurrant hotell, men spesielt gangene bør pusses opp for å heve totalinntrykket Les mer

Vi er meget fornøyd med Berlin Mark Hotel. Dette er andre gang vi bor her. Første gang var i oktober 2009 - 3 døgn. Denne gangen varte oppholdet i 4 døgn og vi var så heldige å få et enda større og mer komfortabelt rom enn vi hadde forrige gang. Forkosten har vi begge gangene inntatt i den lille loungen i 1. etg. (ikke det store frokost rommet). Det […] er mere rolig og raskere service der. Hotellets beliggenhet er meget sentral og i Meinekestr finnes det en del bra restauranter og ca. 3 min å gå opp til Kurfurstendamm hvor det finnes mengder av fine butikkener og spisesteder. Borte ved bussstasjonen ved ZOO anbefaler vi nr. 100 bussen. Den går til Alexanderplatz og kjører en fin sightseeing rute fra vest til øst. Går frem og tilbake hvert 10 min. Vi benyttet nesten ikke U-bahn, da det går busser til alle bydeler og steder. Ellers anbefaler vi å starte oppholdet med en guidet sightseeing tur med buss. En utmerket måte å få oversikt over hva Berlin har å tilby ! Berlin er en fantastisk levende og flott by! Arkitektkturen er spennende - fra de gamle storslagne og ærværdige bygninger og kirker - til nyoppførte ultramoderne og fasinerende bygninger, spesielt i øst. Det er mye å se og oppleve i Berlin. Denne gangen dro vi bl.a. opp til Prenzlauer Berg området. Dette er kunstnerbydelen i øst, med grønne parker,, brede allêer og et stort særpreg. Søte cafêer og restauranter. Den søndagen var det et flott stort loppemarked der og en flott utekonsert . Hadde en herlig dag der. Anbefales. På 17. mai dro vi med tog ned til sjarmerende Potsdam. Fra stasjonen i Potsdam tok vi en fantastisk flott guidet busstur , som viste oss byen og stoppet ved alle de flotte slottene der - f.eks. det vakre Sans Sousis slottet. Vi har aldri opplevet en så kunnskapsrik , engasjert og dyktig guide, som vi hadde på denne rundturen. Hun var unik! Etter den flotte rundturen, spiste vi en utmerket lunch i gågaten i Potsdam, flotte butikker fantes det også, og den Hollandske bydelen var meget sjarmerend Les mer

Min kone og jeg var der på langhelg primo oktober 09. Helt ok og meget prisgunstig hotell i en rolig sidegate til K'damm. Effektiv og vennlig betjening. Var feilaktig tildelt røykrerom, men fikk byttet umiddelbart uten problem. Rommet vi fikk var kurant, men ikke mer enn det. Har sikkert noe med prisen vi betalte å gjøre. Koselig Hotel sentralt ved Kurfûrstendam ( shopping gate) Rent og pent, koselige rom,( men litt trang dusj) Fin bar med gode drinker.

Dette hotellet ligger veldig sentral ift Kufurstendamm, og alt denne gaten har å by på. Hotellet liggger i en rolig tverrgate. Standarden er god, rommene er rene og jeg kan trygt anbefale hotellet. Vi kommer til å bo her neste gang vi skal til Berlin.

Etter en uke i Berlin må vi si at vi er svært fornøyd med hotellet. Super beliggenhet, reint og lite støy. Kan anbefales.

Kan bare si en ting. Hotellet og personalet var meget bra. Ikke noe å klage på, og kommer mer enn gjerne tilbake.

Well situated on a nice quiet side street just a short walk away from Ku'dam-U-Bahn station. The room is not big, but comfortable and clean.

I went to Berlin with my mom and found this hotel for a decent price online. + Large continental breakfast. Something for every taste. + Clean rooms. + Close to Kurfürstendamm and busses/trains. - Very uncomfortable beds. Both my mom and I had problems with our backs afterwards. Also the pillows were in poor shape. - Aircondtion wasn't working properly […] and because the room was very warm we had to open the balcony door. - The doors to the shower were difficult to close. The hotel was okey and decently cheap but since we didn't like the beds neither of us would use this hotel if we went back to Berlin. This is also the reason why I won't give the hotel more than 3 out of 5. If you're only planning to stay a day or two, maybe to shop, the hotel is perfectly situated close to Kurfürstendamm. Les mer

Me and a friend, both 18, went for a long weekend to do some shopping, party and practice our german. The hotel is directly next to the longest shopping street in Berlin, with plenty of bars, great access to the metro, where everything is max 15 mins away, and when needed, everyone in the hotel could communicate well in english. We booked the Hotel for 5 nights. Unfortunately the last 3 days the cards did not open the door and i had to waste time to contact hotel personell to resolve the issue. It should not happen consecutively day after day 3 times.

Very affordable, very good location, friendly staff. I am very satisfied overall.

Everything was o.k. We spent a lovely time!!! I certainly recommend it.

We had a nice stay at this hotel - the overall standard was ok and the location suited us perfect. The only criticism we have is the coffee in the mornings, it was not hot and it tasted old.

The hotel is very good if location and quality of neighborhood is important to you. The hotel lobby is very nice. The rooms are ok, somewhat outdated and the bathroom is very very small. The hallway outside the room smelled like cigarette smoke. This is a quality hotel in an excellent location quite near to the Ku'damm. Some sleeping rooms show a bit of age but the Mark provides an overall good hotel experience. Great German restaurant across the street (Meineke). Hard Rock at the end of the street at Ku'damm. Not likely to get an early check in but hotel will store luggage.

Very cheap hotel for what you got. A little bit away from the sights but very close to a main bus and train station (zooischer gardens). Clean and comfortable. No kettle in the room and you did have to pay for boiling water and internet was pricey enough at €3 an hour. Didn't have breakfast as €16 was a bit pricey. The hotel was great from the second we got there. The girl at reception was lovely. The room we had was huge and its just a short walk into town. I totally recommend this hotel, faultless stay!!

great location, right in the shopping district and close to 2 different metro lines, one of them a major connection i marked everything as a 5 except for the service...are we meant to mark on service according to the particular country's standards, or according to world standards? germans don't tend to go above and beyond, they answer all your questions […] directly and adequately, but with no 'personal' service involved, so without the friendliness you expect to find at 4 and 5 star hotels, it just gets by as a 3 for service the rooms were large, the wifi free (i had a business room), and the pillows were actually so very comfortable...i'd stay here again Les mer

We took Airport Bus to the nearest station, have to walk 15-20 minutes, as it is off the major road. Lobby and reception is bright and newly renovated, staffs are ok, don't have the friendly /welcome feeling. Still using the room key (heavy) to access and have to ask the reception for additional keys. Room is reasonable size, but no free internet […] provided, have to pay 6 Euro for an hour or 35 Euro for 24 hours, which I found expensive. Coffee maker and small frig is provided for free, but bottle water is not free and is expensive too. Bathroom is big enough and looks very new and clean. Breakfast is not free unless that you pay the premium rate for the room, there are many restaurants near the hotel and the supermarket on the same street are cheap to shop. Overall, the location is just right off the station, quiet enough in the busy area. recommend. Les mer

Great hotel in good location, Room and bathroom clean and comfortable and air condition most welcome in the hot summer weather. Staff friendly and helpful and would certainly stay there again and would also recommend it to others as we found it to be very good value for money. Lots of options for eating out in the neighbourhood and close to Kudamm.

If you are going from US, one would be surprised to see that this hotel lacks some basic stuff which is guranteed in usa. To start with it does not have a coffee pot/hot water jar in the rooms. They dont provide any iorn or iorn board in the rooms. Even calling 800 nos or local numbers from the room can be very expensive. Bathrooms/showers are half […] the size of a normal bath tub in usa. Internet even if you pay, is slower than dial up in usa. Moreover internet access is charged hourly. WORST is that DO NOT BANK on the wakeup call from the front desk. THEY DO NOT CALL. atleast this happened to 3 of us who stayed in berlin mark and none got a wakeup call from the front desk. They have a manual system and is not effective. This hotel is in a great location, just a block off of the Kurfurstendamm Strasse with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. A short block from the Uhland U station as well. Close to the pickup point for the Circle City tour. Nice lobby, typical European room. Friendly staff that spoke good English. Comments: A/C was marginal, but welcome compared to […] many other German hotels that have none. Internet was fast, but sluggish in response to new connections. Note that the toilet in my room was considerably lower than normal - could be an issue for those with mobility issues. Business class lounge was adequate(free drinks and fruit). Elevators were noisy. This is rated as a 4* hotel by hotels.com which, as others have commented, it is not. I would say it was an average 3*. However, for the price we though it was still good value. The main problem we found was the virtually non-existent air conditioning. It was hot and humid when we went, and our first night was a hot and restless sleep even with just […] my birthday suit on. It was cooler outside after 1 am, so we had the windows wide open, but then we were woken at 5 am by street noise. We complained to the front desk the next day and when we came home that evening they had visited the room but it was no better. Fortunately it had cooled down outside for the remainder of our stay so it was bearable. I do not believe this was a one off problem, because even the lobby was hot. When we asked do the rooms have A/C we were told yes (perhaps that was a true answer – it was present, it just did not work). Other minor irritations were a generally unhelpful front desk when trying to get info on coin operated laundry, buying an international phone card to avoid excessive hotel charges and a strong smell of curry on our floor (but not in the room). I can understand them wanting you to use their services, but if you want to save a buck or two they should be more helpful. Locally we found Internet cafes charge around 0.5 euros for 30 mins, compared to 10 euros a day in the hotel. Most people only need to do a 30 mins of surfing – why pay a daily charge? We used Uta place (pronounced Hooter without the H) near the Zoologischer Garten train station. It is not actually in the main station but across the street (Hardenbergstr) there is an entrance (next to Berger King) for the U bahn trains that go to Panko. On the platform you will find a few little shops, including Uta’s place. Phone cards, if you need to make international calls, this is the way to go. Hotel rates were excessive; even if you use a phone card in your room the hotel charges a 2.5-euro connection fee. In the café they Les mer

This is not a 4 star hotel. The room was comfortable, but the carpet was very dirty. No clock or radio in the room. The staff was very nice. Bathroom was very small.

When we checked in we were asked by the concierge if we wanted breakfast the next day for 6 euros. We agreed, as it was so cheap. When we checked out, we were told that it was 16 euros each, which we certainly wouldn't have agreed to, especially as it was a mediocre self-service breakfast at best. The mistake had been the concierge's but when we protested […] that we were being charged 32 euros for breakfast, the hotel staff got snotty and impolite. Their overall attitude was that we were pulling a fast one, and they made us a 'final offer' of 20 euros, even though the mistake was theirs. This unpleasantness marred an otherwise okay stay. The rooms are modern, tastelessly decorated, but clean. Breakfast, as mentioned is expensive and not very good. Location could be better - it's downtown in the expensive boutique area surrounded by expensive cafes and designer shops. Les mer

The hotel staff were unfriendly. The hotel needed serious updating. They also wanted to charge you for every little thing. It was very hot - a/c only worked a little bit, not cooling the room sufficiently. The room was somewhat unclean, especially the old carpets. I would not stay here again. I booked this hotel because similar ones were full by the time I wanted to make reservations. This hotel is about a block from the Kurfurstendamm U-bahn and about 3 blocks from the Zoologisher S-bahn stations. The Hard Rock Cafe is at the end of the block (but who wants to pay 12.50 euro or about $20 for a hamburger). The hotel wanted 3 euro/hr or 10 […] euro/day for internet - hell no, found cafes in other places to use free internet. Recommend Mama Blooms Cafe on the next block (Joachmister) or Vapiano's further down for good eats. Les mer

Saw a few reviews which made me wonder when booking but there was no need to worry. Great location, the staff were very helpful and the room was comfortable. The shower wasn't draining properlyt the first morning. We reported it to reception and by the time we got back that evening ti had been fixed - can't ask for more than that in my mind.

OK, but there was no bath, just shower.

Hotel was very nice and in a great location very close to shops, restaurants and under/overground trains-definitley recommend staying here although try to avoid the nighttime staff who were unpleasant and charged a 20euro deposit for an adapter

Good value deal, but it was February, and the high temp was -4'C. Good places to eat nearby, did not have breakfast, 16 Euros seemed a bit steep.

The hotel is nice and on a great location (near Kurfürstenstrasse). We haven't used many service, but the ones we did were according to expectations. If the price is right for you, do not hesitate to take it.
