We stayed for 2 days, and was very good for the price, I booked very easily and CS was very good; a little bit far from main attractions, but very easy to get the hotel. I definetly would return.

For the cost the room was better than most at the price I paid.

This is located in a great location from the base. I went for Air Force Graduation and it was right down the road from the main gate we had to use. They are kind of stingy with the towels, 3 per room, but they are very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

Staff was rude and housekeeping was horrible. Did not empty the trash. Half way made the beds. My daughter had a towel on the bed covering her pillow cause her hair was wet. It was on the bed for 3 days.

If you want a place close to the base for convenience this is it. It is not fancy. Would have liked it to be a little cleaner but I expected this so I took my own cleaning supplies with me to disinfect. There are no restauraunts nearby at all so expect to drive a little to get to them. Overall we were satisfied with our room and would stay again.

We stayed for two nights here and the room and service were very good considering how cheap they are. It was next to a neighborhood so no loud highway noise and about 15-25 mintues from Sea World and the Riverwalk. The room was clean and the atheism area was clean too. Arriving at the hotel we were surprised that it was this nice. We reserved 2 rooms and they were both equally as nice. Management was awesome, we never needed to ask for anything.... and when they ran out of milk while we were having breakfast the, manager quickly ran to the store to get is more.... we will be back.

Perfect location and can't beat the price for a BMT graduation.

We went to San Antonio for Air Force graduation. The hotel was right by base which was perfect for us. The rooms were nice and clean. I really enjoyed my stay there!

We stayed at this motel because it was close to Lackland AFB. Our son was graduating from basic training. After spending one night at this motel we stayed on the base because it was cheaper and closer to the events. I wish I would have stayed at the Travelodge the whole time. I didn't have a hot shower while I was there and they messed up our reservations […] twice. The Travelodge was clean and very close to the base. It took about two minutes to drive from the motel to the base. The neighborhood is run down and there aren't many restaurants in the area. These are the only bad parts. Les mer

Awesome customer service. Room was clean, comfortable and quite. You can't beat the price. I would definitely return and recommend this hotel.

Close to Lackland. Older motel but very clean. Quiet. Many of the other motels were right off the interstates and very noisy from the traffic.

this is a no frills no bells n whistles hotel there are plenty of others that offer more personal service but I was there to spend time with my daughter in the Air Force Basic training graduation so it fit the bill for me.

For the price and location to base was great. They are slowly updating rooms (paint flat screen TV) Main problem I had was the Management/Policies. I had someone visit with a dog (house trained). The dog was taken out for a bathroom break, few min later, front desk called and said I had to pay $150, few min later, found out the Mgr lived on promises, […] he refused to talk to me, but was willing to call the front desk to see if i paid the $150. After going back in forth with desk clerk, I told him to call the cops. Later the decision was for me to pay $20 that night and any additional night that we keep the dog. Mgr (Sunny) customer service was in very poor taste. Till this moment, I still don't know if all hotels (that don't allow pets) will try to charge you a large fee for any pet...Especially one that not staying in you room. If the mgr had been willing to talk, the dog could have been put in the car until my visitor left. If Travelodge police is more about money than customer service, I rather make a longer drive or pay more. Their manager need training, a happy customrr is a repeat customer. Les mer

Hotel perfect for visiting a airman in the Air Force, we were just 2 minutes away from my son that is a Airman. The only bad part about my stay was the remote control needed batteries, and we could of used more towels, but when I needed to use the WI-fi they gave it to me real quick. My stay at Travelodge San Antonio Lackland AFB was wonderful because of its location and the warmth of the Manager and her husband.The room was clean, inviting and nicely decorated. As a result, I felt at home. I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

This hotel was very convienient to the base. My daughter graduated from BMT this weekend. The rooms are nothing fancy, but very clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I'll be staying there again to come visit her. The pool is wonderfully kept and a great place to set and chill.

Older building, but clean as a whistle, comfortable, and quiet. Pool and hot tub open all the time, which was great after walking all day. All the necessities - working fridge, cable, high-speed internet, and tub (not just a shower, which is what I'm used to getting at this price). Five minutes or less to Lackland AFB. TIP: Before taking a cab from […] the airport (around $60 + tip), call the manager and ask about shuttles. He can recommend a much better buy. Les mer

Travelodge Lackland is a basic value hotel...no frills, but nice clean rooms. If you are going to see your trainee graduate from Basic Military Training, you aren't going to spend much time in your room anyway, and the Travelodge is the closest hotel to base, less than 5 minutes from the gates on Military Highway.

I really enjoyed our stay at the Travelodge San Antonio Lackland AFB. We were in town for my son's AF graduation and the convenience was excellent for the multiple times I had to go on and off base to pick him up and take him back throughout the whole weekend. I loved the manager guy. He was so sweet and took real good care of us each and every time […] we needed him. Breakfast was well stocked the entire time breakfast was being served which is unusual to me as I've stayed at some *really* *nice* places that didn't offer that much service. Now while the surrounding neighborhood wasn't exactly bone a fide terrific, I never once felt unsafe and I was out by myself at night at times. The parking lot was extremely well lit. The hall areas were well lit and weren't "creepy" as my daughter puts it. The room were clean and comfortable. Everything worked right and I never had to ask for anything due to lack within the room or for anything to be cleaned or anything of the like. As I stated previously, I really enjoyed my stay. I will definitely be staying here again when we come back to visit. Oh and one last thing - the price was definitely right!! It's been 15-20 years since I've seen prices that low (and being a military family we've traveled all across the US for the past 20 years). Of course, if I hadn't gone through the hotels.com website I would never have gotten such a great rate, but that doesn't negate the fact that I paid an awesome rate!! Les mer

This was our first time going to Sea World as a family with two girls and we were on a tight budget. I knew going in that this would not be the best hotel for the price I was getting. We were turned off by the cleanliness of a few things at this hotel. With an 8 month old and a 2 year old, you would hope that cleanliness was something you would receive, […] but we found a few things that really made us feel uncomfortable. While our 8 month old daughter was crawling we found a dead roach in the corner of our room. Our room was never vacumed when room service came by. My wife found mold on some of the breakfast bagels that were provided. It is definitely not in the best neigborhood. Beds were comfortable and the room was always cold, but this is not the hotel you want to stay at if you're in for a vacation. Les mer

This was the worst place I have ever stayed. Dirty sheets, stray cats and pretty scary staff. We prepaid for our entire stay. Despite not being eligible for a refund we left after the first night and found accommodations elsewhere.

Very convenient location to the Lackland Air force Base. Nice Pool and hot tub. Beds comfortable. It is nice to be 3 blocks from Airforce base rather than fighting the traffic to get back to base. not a Five star hotel but a five star convenience.

the staff was friendly,hotel room was good enough to sleep,we wasnt there alot because of spending time with our graduate from the air force. the pool was clean for my daughter to swim, i went out to watch her swim and cut my foot on one of the loungers,they need to get rid of that lounger,they did give me a bandage to put on it,so i couldnt swim at […] all after that. other than that,it was ok to stay at. room stayed very cool. I was very satisfied with our stay at Travelodge Lackland AFB. We were there for my daughter's BMT graduation, and it is very convenient to the base. It was quiet, so sleeping was not a problem. It has a hot tub and pool, and a place to grill if you want. I was very satisfied with them, and once again, EXTREMELY happy with Hotels.com.

This hotel has no extra's. If you are looking for a place that is close to Lackland AFB and has the basics at a decent price, this hotel would be sufficient for you. The neighborhood is not the greatest, but it is very close to Lackland.

When I arrived at San Antonio Travelodge I specifically calculated the travel from Ft. Polk right at the 2pm check in and to my disappointment check in wasn't until after 3pm, now after driving 7hrs no one wants to have to sit around until than, I felt that they could have consider the fact that I was due to check in on the 12th of April so my room […] was already paid for the previous day, but I didn't arrive until the 13th none the less that was my only disappointment. If your going for BMT graduation, that's a perfect place as there we're a lot of graduate family members staying there, and the convenience was perfect, cleanliness was great and the clerks behind the counter both we're decent other than having me wait 30 more minutes before check in, I do recommend it too anyone looking for closeness and convenience for you're Air-man graduation. Very close to base, would not say it is walking distance but few minutes by car so I was satisfied. It would be quite a walk to base and then walk to get anywhere on base. So by car definately close. It was clean...maid service was good.

I enjoyed my stay at the Travel Lodge! The Hotel's appearance is well maintained, looks recently painted, new blacktop, clean pool area! Rooms are clean & updated! I was very impressed! Plus it's location of being close to Lackland A.F. base for my son's ceremony! After reading some of the earlier reviews, I was hesitant on staying there. I'm glad I […] went ahead & stayed there! Also it was very affordable! The only minor details that could be improved: the towels are in need of replacing, they are smaller then I prefer, but they are clean! And the Continental breakfast could be improved, by offering a few more items! But those are only minor things. I would stay there again! Les mer

the hotel was very close to the base and had easy access to the gates. it was comfortable and had all the conveniences we were looking for such as wi-fi, a refrigerater, microwave, iron, comfortable bed and good rates. we could have spent more,, but why? we had what we needed and saved money too.

Hotel could not be any closer to the main gate to get to the BMT reception center. 5 minutes from Hotel to base. No line at gate. hotel was very clean, quiet. Can't beat the rate, would highly recommend this to any parent attending basic graduation. Also, a great Mexican resturante is located right outside the visitors center on the other side of the […] base. Cheap, good and lots of food. Note, you son will eat twice as much food as he did before he went in to basic. Les mer

This place is pretty old and somewhat run down. The location is convenient to the base, staff was friendly and room was clean. Ok for short stay.

We stayed for our son's graduation from Airman Basic. Room was clean, A.C. worked great & location couldn't be better. No complaints.

I was not at all happy with the hotel. I requested a non smoking room and was taken to a smoking room. Was told would spay air freshener. I requested and got a non smoking room that still smelled a little of stale smoke and the air was not working. Manager tried to fix, but the room was always very, very warm. The fan they gave me to help cool the room […] was dirty and I had no way to clean it. I feel I paid to much for what I did not get. If it had not been for the fact that several other members of my family were already staying there and we were doing so much together, I would have checked out and gone to another hotel. My sister had booked the room for me and used her credit card because my work schedule did not allow me the time to book a hotel for the weekend family gethering. I tried to talk to the manger when I was getting ready to check out. I was told he was out of town. I will not stay at that hotel again, no matter how close it is to Lackland Air Force Base it may be. I hope my sister can get a full or partial refund. Thank you very much. Les mer

Hotel was close to base. Rooms were very clean. A/C did not adequately cool. Evening staff was very personable and helpful. Pool was small, Hot tub was super small.

Honestly I was a little scared after reading some of the reviews. But it was very affordable. Convenient to Lackland AFB, which is why we were there. Older hotel but room was clean, staff was nice, no problems. You got what you paid for with the free breakfast :) but coffee was hot and that's all we wanted anyway. this hotel was great. it was a big room with a huge ben that was very comfortable. it was so closes to the base where we weere going it was wonderful i would recomend it to anyone. the price was great also

i called the travel lodge to tell them that we did not have 6 people we only have 5 and could they make and adjustment on the price. they said they would do that when we came in. so when we got their the lady told us that we have to contact hotel.com well if they would have said that the day before when i had called i would have and maybe saved myself […] the extra person fee. location was great and the room was clean. the lady in the office was rude.
