"A couple real problems, otherwise average"
Main problem - phone did not work, Internet did not work, many outlets didn't function. In fairness, the Internet was restored by morning, and was probably out due to storms, however the phone never worked. This place needs to get the basics worked out, then it will be a decent stop-over.

I was not pleased with the condition of this"3 star" hotel. The woman that checked me in was not in the friendliest mood and was not very informative about the hotel; she told me how to get to my room, check out time, and handed me a map, that's it The discription of the hotel states there is a fitness facility, there was not one on the map I got. The […] room was humid and smelt like someone just took a #2 and then a shower. The bed comforter had 2 cigarette burns and the trim on the computer desk was falling off. Just the hotel layout is the type I don't prefer, the type that every door is on the outside; I don't know why, those just seem cheap looking to me. Overall, I was not pleased with my stay and in the future will just pay more and stay at the 2 hotels across the way. Les mer
"The Quality Inn in Lufkin is nice"
The hotel was nice and clean, as well the staff was friendly and helpful including the housekeeping staff. It is close to all of the restaurants and stores in the area. If you are on a budget like I am, I would recommend the Quality Inn.
"Average For Price"
Had a pleasant stay and price was reasonable. However, both bed lamps were not working. Restaurant was not open at 7am as they claimed and still remained closed about a half hour later so we went elsewhere.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Located next to 2 or 3 other hotels. The price was right for our budget. I would recommend to others in a heartbeat.

I asked for a room near nacogdoches and got one on the FAR side of the next town over. My reservations said a continental breakfast, and we were told there was none!

The location was great. Check in went very smooth with no problems. The rooms were very clean and very comfortable except the beds they could have been a little softer. I would stay here again and I would recommend it to others. I also would recommend booking rooms with Hotels.com. It was a very good overall experience, :)

We checked in and the keys to our room did not work. I went back to the front office and they said their key maker didn't work, but to try another set. This set did not work either. My husband called the front office again and they said they would send maintenance out to open the room. After 15 minutes of waiting outside, I decided to go back to the […] office. They gave us keys to another room. After the second day of staying our room was "cleaned" but trash wasn't taken out, towels weren't repleaced or coffee filters weren't replaced. Les mer

The hotel was extremely clean and updated. Conviently located to the college our son attends. Plan on staying there everytime I am in the Lufkin area.

"Everything was ok except wrong room."
We booked at 2 queen bed room but none were available when we arrived. We had 2 adults and 2 small children in 1 bed and did not sleep well.

The room was clean, requested a smoking room, no odor in room, nor ashtrays. Tried to call front desk to make sure it was a smoking room and phone did not work. Drove up to office as room was a back of property, desk clerk assured room was smoking, had no ashtrays on hand, asked if I could stop by and pick one up on my way back to room that night. Clerk […] asked "do you need a phone?" I asked about a refrigerator which I did not notice the "some rooms have" when booking room ahead of time. Also, ice maker was dirty and in a dark hall due to burned out light bulb. Not a bad hotel for the money. The room was a little dirty but not enough to make you want to look for somthing else. A little investment back into the rooms would go a long way. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

When we arrived, staff was polite. We went to our room (119) all the dresser draws were open and refrigerator like it had been sprayed. The room had a strong smell of mildew. I called the front desk and they told me that they would look into it and call me back. Not sure if any rooms available. He never called back. The walls also had small blotches. […] Mostly on the lower level of the wall. We tolerated it, because we were on our way to my son's graudation in Nacogdoches and was 1015pm when we checked in. Les mer

I requested a non-smoking room. I received a smoking room. I have a lot of allergies, being exposed to any smoking is one the Dr. said for me to avoid.

"Most Uncomfortable Bed EVER"
Because of a previous review about the King beds not being comfortable, we opted for 2 Queens. The mattresses were literally 6" thick. Felt like I was sleeping on box springs. Each bed had 2 SMALL LUMPY pillows There was not a "Do Not Disturb" card for the door and we got rudely awakened at 8:30 by the maid banging on the door. Front Desk said they […] wouldn't start until 9:30! Then the maids were yelling up and down the walkway at each other....NOT a great way to start a day! Night before, there were people partying in the parking lot until about 1:45 a.m. so we were kept awake by their noise until then and then awakened at 8:30. Les mer

Good quality hotel for the price. Nice comfortable bed with a separate sitting area. Only problems we had were that the refrigerator did not work and some of the tv channels had no sound.

There was no problem at checkin. No problem when we got to the room. But when my wife took a shower, there was very little hot water. When I went to phone the desk, realized there was no phone. Went to the desk to report no water and no phone. Desk clerk was very nice and checked on the water problem. I told him don't worry about the phone because i […] have a cell phone. He told me to pick up a $20 voucher the next mornning for breakfast. Which was nice of him. When we went down the next morning for breakfast, we found the restaurent closed. So much for using the voucher. LOL Check out wasn't to bad, I reminded him that the phone was missing so he wouldn't think i had stole it. He wanted my credit card to check out and I had to remind him that I had paid for the room thru HOTEL.COM. He checked again and said ok. Les mer
