Very nice hotel in close proximity to restaurants and shops on Maine street. It is also very close Bowdoin College where I had business. Room had modern decor and was very clean. Both the restaurant and hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I am a vegetarian and the only complaint I have is limited selections of vegetarian items on the restaurant […] menu. Everything was perfect...didn't have an opportunity to eat in the restaurant for a meal other than breakfast because of planned commitments. Will definitely stay in the future. Nice location...next to the bike and walking path in Brunswick.

Only stayed one night, so not a huge opportunity to test the hotel. The room was spotless and the TV and shower worked without problem. The evening check-in person was pleasant and competent. The hotel is in excellent shape, rooms are newly renovated to a high standard, well appointed and tastefully furnished. Very friendly and helpful staff make your stay very pleasant. Loved to be upgraded to a 2 beds room and though enjoying more space. Loved the white bathroom design even if on a small scale.Loved to have an empty fridge at disposal where we stored some delicacies from The Bouchon french bakery (Time warner tower). Didn t appreciate the exterior noise at all !!!!

the room was clean, well decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Loved the exercise room and the spa was the best. We have stayed at this hotel before and it has been renovated and is very lovely. The room was beautiful and comfortable. It is a close walk to Maine Street and so wonderful to walk thru the beautiful downtown - near restaurants etc. Our only problem was that they were having internet problems. I don't know if this was unusual or not. The staff was […] not very helpful or friendly about this. Most did not seem knowledgeable about how to fix it. The hotel room was great and had a very good bed. So sleeping was perfect. Also cleanliness was not an issue. The only issue I had is that the complimentary breakfast did not fit the price. One day my wife was told that they are out of jam and 2 days later I was told that they are out of fruits. I confess that this happened around 9:30 am and breakfast […] is till 10 am, but this has not happened to me in a very long period of time and not in a hotel of this price level. We were pleasantly surprised with how nice the hotel was. It is in a nice, well-maintained old building. The wait staff at breakfast in the morning was friendly and helpful when we asked about activities in the area, and the front desk staff was great too, and called us to tell us we left our housekeys in the room, then held them at the desk no problem […] until we passed back through town. We asked for two double beds, in fact we found two single bed, because the size was really small (even if we are small persons). During the night the air conditioning is noisy. The staff and the service are doing less as possible. For the breakfast we arrived around 9:40, the room was empty and the staff refused to clean-up the table we wanted. The Captain Daniel Stone Inn was comfortable and clean. The staff was courteous and very helpful. I didn't realize there was a continental breakfast and was pleasantly surprised at the quality and quantity of the food. The inn, itself, is within walking distance of many shops and restaurants (although there is a restaurant at the inn). If there is a […] negative, the location is on the side of a highway (US 1) and if your room is on that side of the building, the view may not be very nice. This is my second time to stay in the hotel. The hotel is nice, convenient and serves a complimentary breakfast. However, this time in the room there was a portable A/C unit which was noisy and annoying. The lady at the front desk was a little "standoffish" because we booked through Hotels.com which I found odd! Very pleased with this Hotel. Quiet and comfortable. The only complaint was my wife said I snored but that is hard to pin on the Hotel! My wife particularly appreciated the "gluten free" options provided by the Hotel. Nice walking/running route nearby as well.

nice place -- I got there late and was really, really looking forward to a glass of wine but the in-room mini-bar had no alcohol at all and the bar was closed. Not a huge deal but it's one of those little amenities that make a stay a bit more comfortable.

This hotel was beautiful, super clean and comfortable. The staff friendly and helpful..the only complaint I had was the fact the in-house restaurantbar area and was closed on Sunday and Monday on the last long weekend of the season. This was our second stay at this small hotel and we will continue to stay here when we travel to Brunswick. The rooms are impeccable and the staff is friendly and accommodating. The entire facility is first class. The renovation was well worth it!!

This is a beautiful little hotel. It's very clean and quite charming. The location is great: it's within walking distance of the downtown restaurant district. My only complaint is that the breakfast isn't quite up to the high standard set by the hotel, although it is free so it's hard to be too critical.

This is a nice reasonably priced hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable and everything is new. The check in service was spotty but we did arrive on a Sunday night and there were very few people at the hotel. Overall, the food and service were good. We would return.

The Captain Daniel Stone Inn is an outstanding hotel for a small college town like Brunswick. The staff is universally friendly and helpful and the hotel itself is immaculately maintained. In addition to first-rate rooms, it boasts a top-notch restaurant and a very well-equipped fitness facility. There is ample parking and it's an easy walk to downtown […] Brunswick and Bowdoin College. Our one and only gripe was the awkward approach and departure from the highway (US-1). Les mer

Turn down service, WOW! Didn't expect that, felt like royalty the minute I walked in. Beautiful decorated and squeaky clean. Pillows were about 10 steps up from the ramada I stayed in the night before. I will NEVER stay anywhere else in Brunswick. SOLD. Hook, Line and Sinker.
