I had to stay overnight before traveling on to my ultimate destination, and Econo Lodge was exactly what I was looking for: Inexpensive, close to the airport, and with free shuttle service to and from the terminal. If that is what you're looking for, I can recommend Econo Lodge.

Et meget hyggelig hotell med god mat og service. Trimrommet var utmerket. Grei gratis shuttle til og fra flyplassen. Men vi var skuffet over at et såpass dyrt hotell tok betaling for bruk av internett.

Rommene var rene og pene. Rett i nærheten lå et greit lite sted med god frokost.10 min fra hotellet med buss lå et svært shopping senter (Golf Mill)

The window seal was dirty, the klneex container Only had a few klneex in it (ran out) ! Overall the room was clean & I would stay there again.

Dirty elevators.... floors... surroundings. AND - the housekeepers left my door propped open for 6 hours when I was away. They literally left my room unlocked and open with all my stuff inside... laptop.. cloths, phones, etc. I wont be staying here again.
Not enough parking. Came back to hotel around 11pm on Frday & Saturday night and parking lot was full. When I went in to ask what I should do, the answer was " we are in the entertainment district so I guess you'll have to drive around until you can find something.' The people at the Holiday Inn were very friendly. The hotel was fine. However, the parking was TERRIBLE. One of the hotel employees went outside with several of us and had us park in a yard, up over a curb. My daughter had to park at the end of the block on the street, because there was absolutely no parking left!

Excellent location. Within walking distance of good resturants and bars. The rooms were clean and hotel is clean. Breakfast buffet great! the only negative I had was 2 double beds. Beds were uncomfortable. If upgraded beds, hotel would be 5 stars!
noisy a/c, street noise, had to chg rooms, noisy bldg in general. room dirty, found old clothes behind chair, cleaning staff didn't clean the room everyday, ..never really cleaned it. ! Toilet wouldn't stop running had to close door to sleep. Staff was nice and friendly, breakfast the same everyday.
We were very satisfied during our recent stay at Holiday Inn Express Westport. The hot breakfast was good, the coffee bar very convenient,and the 1200 checkout was perfect.

I have stayed here several times. I like being able to walk to restaurants in Westport, the grocery store and World Market and especially Broadway coffee shop a few blocks away on Broadway for my morning coffee. The hotel breakfast is OK but I gotta have a great strong cup of java in the AM.

"Don't Look Too Close!"
The toilet and bathtub were filthy and had obviously not been cleaned (ever, from the looks of things). I requested that housekeeping come take care of this and returned to find everything exactly as I left it. Disgusting! Also, since I'm not from the area and didn't know which taxi company to use, I called the hotel to request a taxi to pick me up […] and return me to the hotel (a trip of 1.3 miles). After I waited outside in subzero temperature for at least fifteen minutes, my transportation arrived. Upon reaching the hotel, I was informed that this was in fact a "towncar" they had called, and the ride would cost me twice what I had paid for the same ride in a taxi that morning. There was no way to know this guy wasn't a taxi. I was steamed! Way to go, Holiday Inn Express! So glad I had you looking out for me! Les mer

the Hotel did look like alot of traffice had been threw thier. also the front desk rep yelled out my room # and everyone in the lobby heard it, not very safe!! it was written on the key cover!!
My wife and daughter were staying there because my daughter had surgery the next moring and had to be at KU Med Center at 5:30 the next morning.. The hotel staff were awesome and the room was great. Thanks again for everything!!

We liked this spot close enough to walk to the museums--Nelson and Kemper--but far enough away to be quiet and inexpensive. We're not spa goers and we don't want to be waited on. We want a clean, easy to use, safe place to park, sleep and keep our stuff. This was great for those things (heed the warnings about sharing the parking lot with the popular […] bar next door and behave accordingly). The substantial breakfast bar was a bonus. Hotel is in a decent neighborhood. Grocery store and a number of nice bars nearby. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. They allow pets, and there was an annoying dog barking on my floor for the better part of my first nights stay. Not a bad deal for the price, but try not to stay on the first floor since it can get noisy.

The hotel was clean and quiet other than street noises. Breakfast was very nice for the price, we were perfectly happy to eat here rather than pay to go somewhere else. Parking is an issue on the weekends, we had to park on the street, which we weren't comfortable with.

"Pleasantly Surprised"
I wasn't expecting too much from a downtown hotel at the rate I paid (I got a last-minute deal for about half of other nice hotels' rates), but this one pleasantly surprised me. The neighborhood was a few blocks from the Plaza district but still pretty safe with free ground parking in a lot next to the hotel. The room was very clean. The hot breakfast […] (including warm cinnamon rolls, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, and eggs) was superior to most other hotels' non-restaurant breakfasts. My only criticisms are that the window was a bit noisy (could hear a little too much of the light rain outside, plus street noises), and the curtain covering the window let just a little too much light in. Overall, though, these were minor compared to the very clean room I got at a great deal. Les mer

Excellent location in the nice Westport area. Many local restaurants and bars, outside patios, grocery store within walking distance. Close to downtown and Country Club Plaza (5 - 10 minute drive). Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Hotel in awsome location to night clubs with venues, which is what I came to KC for. Only complaint I had with the hotel was that My bathroom tub/shower was not cleaned very well. Otherwise great place to stay.

"Budget Hotel"
This hotel was very tricky to find. It could have been the GPS since it had us go a different way back to the hotel each night. But once you pull into the hotel you will surprised how hard it is to find a parking spot especially if its late night because there is a bar/restaurant and a comedy club that shares the lot. We ended up driving around the […] lot waiting for someone to pull out of a spot. The room we stayed in from a quick glance looked good. Though after a deeper look around you could tell the room was quickly cleaned. Corners were dusty and the bathroom had hair in the corners. There was a slight musty smell that did go away since we left the fan running when we were gone. Overall I would not recommend this hotel. It is worth spending a little more and finding something better. Like the saying, you get what you pay for. Its sad this hotel is in this condition for a Holiday Inn Express. Les mer

You can stay cheaper in Kansas City, but probably not if you want to be in a fun neighborhood. The rooms were fine, a bit small perhaps, but clean, and parking wasn't quite as bad as everyone makes it out to be. It's not great, but the worst-case scenario is that you park on the street and move your car after the bar next door (which serves incredible […] burgers, by the way) closes. Meanwhile, you get a hot breakfast and you're within walking distance of a greater nightlife scene. Les mer
