Leeds Marriott Hotel - Leeds

Marriott chain so chain style hotel standards, clean and stylish. Expect to pay for internet and parking, but very central position which makes for a good location for hen parties and business men alike!!

Repeat visit as we enjoyed our last stay, the hotel staff, service and facilities were great. My only complaint would be the price of drinks inside the hotel, close to £9 for 2 single Vodka and cokes which I though was a bit pricey. We travelled by train and the location of the hotel is perfect for this.

Nice central location, friendly staff and very clean. I would suggest that some better car park directions were given as the hotel is set in a square courtyard so not in direct view from the road and the NCP backs on to the same court yard yet on the other side. Ive stayed in several hotels in Leeds and this has definetly been the best value for money. Its in a very central location, rooms spacious and contemporary, nice leisure club and good breakfast. Only negative point is that there is no car park and the closest NCP is very expensive.

I have stayed in this hotel several times and have always been impressed with standard of rooms. On this occasion not so good. We must have had the room nearest to the boiler as we could hear the constant noise from it both day and night. Not excessively loud but still quite an annoying and constant drone. Lovely hotel situated right in the heart of Leeds city centre. Room very comfortable, clean and above all peaceful nights sleep. the only drawback is the parking, we had to park at the NCP car park nearby, this isnt mentioned at booking, can be a little costly but you can get your ticket validated through reception. Hotel is pretty much right in the middle of it all in Leeds. Great in that you don't need to walk far for shopping, bars etc. Bad in that noise from the street can be quite loud at night. Hotel itself is nice. Room was fine, although finding the previous occupant's old shower gel containers in the shower (missed by cleaning staff) was a bit of a low […] point. The lack of a stairway from the rooms to the reception was also a bit odd, and a slight problem when two of the three lifts were out of action on one of the days. Generally an nice stay, but spoilt by a few factors. Room and hotel were clean and generally very modern. However their was a dirty plate in our room on arrival. Overnight we were kept awake by a nightclub opposite our window (despite being on the 5th floor) and screaming, banging taxi doors, etc. Very central location, which is close to the railway, […] shops and the Royal Armouries. I stayed at the hotel for one night only as I was in Leeds on a business trip. I have to say that the hotel was superb - the staff were polite and friendly and could not do enough to help. the rooms were fantastic - well maintained and very comfortable. The inclusion of the use of the gym and swimming pool was a welcome additiion and the breakfast was […] a delight! Added to this was the fact that the hotel is in easy walking distance to the main shopping area and any number of restaurants. i highly recommend this hotel to all! Les mer

The Leeds Marriott is an exceptional hotel, ideally located in city centre and within walking distance of all the main attractions and extensive shopping. The staff are obviously well-trained; very friendly, helpful and efficient. The only slight criticism I would have is cost of using internet - very expensive.

Usually stay in the Park Plaza when in Leeds, but couldn't get a room to fit all the family on this trip. The Marriott was fine, nothing exceptional, but we had a nice trip. The staff were helpful and efficient, but I did find them a bit overly attentive. For my taste, the whole place was a bit 'buttoned-up' and old fashioned. Some people might like […] that though. We booked our 3 night stay for our Wedding Anniversary. After the initial problem with our room we settled in. It was very warm weather for our stay and the air conditioning unit doesn't give out very cold air and the windows don't open far so it was very hot. After the first night stay, we didn't sleep well. We were above the extractor fan from the […] kitchen and it was quite noisy. The bed, whilst comfy at first it had the roll to effect and feathers kept coming through the sheet. The pillow cases had stains and the sink was very scratched. Our TV was the best we have ever had in a hotel, finally a clock which you can see but doesn't glare at you in the night. Aside from this, the breakfast was very good, would like to see a chioce of cooked to order items and black pudding. I did complain at the time that they should ban laptops and mobiles from the restaurant, having to listen to his business conversation for our entire meal. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were cold, which put us off going in it again. Very convenient for the city and shopping, you cannot get any closer. Nice to eat out and not worry about taxi's. The Concierge service was very good but I would like to see a better discount with the NCP car park. It cost us £45 to park for 3 days! Travelodge around the corner get you 50% off. Les mer

The only problem was the car park. Its £15.00 for an over night stay. However, if you enter the car park after 5pm and leave before 10 am its only £5.00. Nothing was mentioned about this when we checked in at 4.00 pm. Apart from this the hotel is very clean and the staff very polite. Food good and of a high quality. Enjoyed a one night stay after dropping off our son at Uni. Great to use the leisure facilities, pool and sauna etc. before a leisurely dinner in the restaurant. Luxury room was tastefully decorated, clean and the 'queen'size bed very comfortable with extra pillows. Sanitary ware in bathroom was clean but more attention could have been paid to the […] floor. We did have difficulty in finding this hotel as the sign from the main road outside the hotel was obscured by a double-decker bus which had stopped at the bus stop just outside the hotel. We stayed at the Leeds Marriott during the Leeds Festival and were impressed at the welcome we received - even with scruffy clothes and muddy boots we felt like valued guests! The hotel's location is perfect - right in the middle of everything, just a stroll from the shops, including Harvey Nicks, and the nightlife. Excellent for the money. However, basic technology caused issues. You have to ask the reception to set wakeup calls. These were not set correctly, and were missed - Twice!!! They resolved this after talking to the manager. The phone and tv technology was very basic. Apparently they are updating this next week?? Breakfast is very good. Excellent hotel - great value for money. Very good service

We booked 2 rooms for 3 days at a very reasonable price cheaper than the adjacent travelodge! We went for the ashes match, & left our luggage at the desk when we arrived at 8.30am (rooms were not available) we returned at 7.30 pm & checked in. Sadly although we booked twins only doubles were available & we were charged for a roll out bed. This would […] be our only complaint. Nice clean hotel. Good leisure facilities idea for my 8yr old pool nice size. Problem with TV which was resolved quickly but seemed to be a problem throughout hotel on the date we stayed. Only slight down side was air conditioning did not work the best and room was stuffy during the night. Also be aware of the parking its at the NCP car park next door […] (very tight entry point) and if in before 5pm they hit you for more than the night rate even with validated ticket from hotel concerige. A big improvement over some of the hotels we have stayed at in Leeds, and very reasonably priced. Sometimes though it seems you've just picked the wrong weekend - one of the lifts was out of operation on arrival, then having parked the car I returned to find the fire alarm in the foyer going off every 5 minutes, which meant all the lifts were all out […] of operation and I couldn't join my wife for half an hour. The room was comforatble but far too warm and the ventilation did little to cool it, so that sleep was sporadic. Leaving the window open all night just meant that by the morning the room smelt of vehicle fumes from the high street below. By way of finale my wife received a visit from security while I was loading the car - apparently an alarm was sounding in our room (although not audible in the room) which required them to inspect before we could leave. Altogether a slightly bizarre weekend, but we'd go again if I could be sure the ventilation and fire alarms had been serviced. However, for our next visit later this month we'll be staying out of town at the Marriot Country Club. Les mer

Me and my boyfriend stayed overnight in this hotel on a Saturday. We arrived around 3.30pm and was checked in within five minutes and in the room. The room was nice, furnished in a modern style with air con and a nice bathroom. The view from our room was rubbis but how often do you look out of the window?? We went out into Leeds for the evening and […] I would recommend Picolos retsurant. Went for breakfast around 10.30am the next day . Breakfast was good, help yourself buffet style with cold and hot choices. Checked out for 12am and it took thirty seconds. The stay was really comfortable and we had a great time. Would recommend the hotel and Leeds. The ringroad into Leeds is a bit of a nightmare, all one way roads, making the hotel quite tricky to find but once you get there you will have a great time!! Piscine/Spa: sol glissant, personnel absent, cheveux & poils sur le sol, un coup de raclette régulier ne serait pas du luxe... Chambre: propre, bon état, standard Marriott, le minibar contenait des bouteilles d'eau non scellées. Superbe hotel, service impécable, personnel serviable et symapthique, chambres très confortables, vraiment excellentes prestations avec un rapport qualité/prix top. Le seul "hic" = le restaurant! Vraiment pas terrible et trés cher. A éviter, dommage.

Meine Frau und ich wollten das Einkaufen und Nachtleben von Leeds geniessen. Das Marriott Leeds ist mitten darin nicht zu übertreffen, was Standort angeht, dennoch auf einem ruhigen Nebenplatz. Personal, Zimmer und Frühstück alles bestens. Nur ein kleiner Makel: das Leisure Centre war teilweise repararturbedürftig
