Comfort Inn Clifton Hill - Niagara Falls

Hotel location is the best in the area. Our room was just in front of the wheel, my kids loved it! The hotel also offers free breakfast. No complaints at all.

The location was perfect...right on Clifton where all the attractions are. In walking distance to everything the kids wanted to do. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, free parking & breakfast - great! Standard hotel...but would definetely stay here again.

Always a nice, convenient place to stay in Niagara Falls. Very courteous staff in all phases. Only small negative was they charged $9 for parking that was not expected. Not a big deal, but at the room price, thought it was excessive. Would stay there again.

We had a 2 night stay the end of January, just a mid winter break for us. Close to all the fun stuff on Clifton Hill, cordial staff, clean room, comfortable beds with lots of pillows. I thought it was a little expensive compared to the other hotels within walking distance of the Hill, especially for the off season, but we needed something really close […] ,as I had a medical issue and could not walk long distances. Close to Casino Niagara but nowhere near Fallsview Casino, It can get a little noisy in the hallways after the bars close, especially on weekend nights. I was awakened a few times after about 2:00 AM by whooping voices , people banging on doors and general party goer nonsense. We had a very bad experience with the noise level last time we stayed a few years ago resulting in a complaint from us, which is one of the reasons we stopped staying here. There is a nightclub right next door and in the summer trying to sleep was impossible. The bass booming through the walls and the kids yelling in the hallways after closing time was not pleasant. We decided to give the place another chance and it wasn't nearly as bad, but this is winter time and less activity on the Hill. We usually go to the Falls 4 or 5 times a year and we might try it here once more in May to see if it's any better than previous times. It might be a good idea to ask for a room as far away from the nightclub as possible if you're staying there in the busier season , and are an older couple such as ourselves and aren't visiting the nightclubs. All in all an OK place would like to stay there again and give it another chance during the summertime. Les mer

Great location , so convience , price is reasonable , staff so nice , wireless services so good , speed very fast , better than other 3 or 4 star hotel , will go again .

Funny there is a wheel chair accessible washroom and a diaper room but common sense will tell them to build the ramp first, how do they expect a wheel chair to climb stairs even to up to the rooms; there is no elevators neither. Its very convenient but you'd think they'll have the place better looking....

Everything was great: room, service, breakfast, friendliness. Only one problem; Monday morning the restaurant attached to the inn received its supply of food at 6:00am. The truck parked under our window and unloaded, noisily, until 6:30 am. That was my only complaint. Otherwise...great!!!

Great location for kids close to everything. Rooms are no frills but we didn't spend much time in the room. No elavatore but only 3 floors so not a problem for use. Great pool. have to pay for parking but once you park you can walk most everywhere so well worth it.

For our first trip to Niagra Falls we were looking for a very convenient location to all of the sites and we got it. The Comfort Inn sits at the top of Clifton Hill so it is within walking distance to the falls, the casinos, and of course all Clifton Hill sites. The location of this hotel was perfect for touring the Falls and the Clifton Hill area. Could not beat the convenience. The pool in the hotel was a hit for my family too! Will definitely stay again!

This was our first visit to Canada, but definitely not the last. We searched the web for a place to stay and decided on Comfort Inn based on the guest ratings. We were pleasantly surprised that it was conviniently located close to all the attractions and the service was friendly and professional. Thanks to all, we had a very nice stay in Niagara.

Very helpful staff, clean room, easy to walk to Falls etc, only negative comment, stairs at entry, had to ask another guest to carry my suitcase up the stairs.

While convenient to all Niagara attractions, the Hotel could benefit from significant upgrades. We had a non smoking room but the room had clearly been used as a smoking room at some point. As we arrived in the room the A/C was blowing throughout, even though the outside temp was a cool 15C. We shut the A/C off and visited the attractions. Coming back […] to the room several hours later we were met with stagnant air, and a pungent odour which only seemed to worsen with passage of time. We were quick to realize why the A/C had been turned on. Clearly the carpet is in need of replacement as this was the only potential source of odour - everything else seemed reasonably clean. As far as room access, we were extremely disappointed. We booked our reservation several months in advance, and therefore assumed a room either on the ground floor, or perhaps second level. Our room turned out to be on the third level, which ordinarily would not be a concern. However, this outdated Hotel does not have one elevator in the entire complex, nor is the parking adequate. We were unable to park anywhere close to the stairway nearest our room, then were were forced to lug everything up three grungy flights of stairs - with very dirty carpet and hand railings I would not touch with gloves on. When we settled down for the night we expected perhaps a mediocre sleeping experience but that was not to be had. The design of the Hotel is such that 'wings' of rooms emanate from the front lobby. There is absolutely zero control or supervision from the front desk area and this meant people running the halls all night long, and slamming doors. We were in a room near the top of the stairwell (only means of access for perhaps 40 or more rooms) and there was a constant stream of people stomping their feet up three flights of stairs, and a series of door slams with either very poor or non-existent sound proofing. Getting beyond all of this, we did enjoy the breakfast, perhaps as it signalled our departure. Les mer

This location is so close to the falls but there are no views from the bottom floor not sure if you would even get one from the top 3rd floor. The room and bed were comfortable but the noise is easily heard from the other rooms. Try to avoid times when the schools are on holidays and young teenagers are partying all into the night they kept us awake […] a lot. Have stayed at this hotel several times. Nothing fancy, but clean and convenient. Although dining room for breakfast was a bit bare bones, there was plenty of food. Getting from one part of the hotel to another is like going through a maze, but all in all would certainly recommend.

Hotel was clean and comfortable! Will definately stay there again. No complaints other than we had 2 double beds, would have liked 2 queens instead.... but the doubles worked out ok.

Very friendly staff especially at the front desk. Excellent location for Clifton Hill attractions and just a couple of blocks from the falls. Very nice indoor pool and hot tub. Continental breakfast was nice. Bed sheets were dirty on one of the beds when we arrived.

Friendly staff , excellent location, 10 minutes walking distance to the falls. Complimentary parking and breakfast a bonus. You need to walk up stairs to get to the reception and your room. Rooms are old but clean.

The location is perfect and is in walking distance toall activities including Maid of the Midst and Journey Behind the Falls. We were able to see the Fireworks from our hotel. Our room was on the second floor, with easy access to the pool. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, with a variety of foods.

This hotel is wonderfully located! It's in a perfect location for both couples or families to be in the center of the Niagara Falls experience. Literally, steps away from a 24 hour Tim Hortons and Burger King. From our window, we could see the midway, ferris wheel, and other attractions as well. Also, it's about a 5 minute walk to the casino, and the […] falls too! The rooms are very simple, but very clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful ( we asked for another room on the second floor, and they worked to get us it quickly), the pool was very large, and a great temperature, and the hot tub was comfortably able to accomodate 10 adults! We were very satisfied with our choice to stay here. Just bare in mind...this is not a 4 star property with a spa and restaurant. There aren't any mini-fridges available, nor is there a microwave so if that's a need for you (and your family), this isn't the right place for you. Also, the shower is not so great as the curtain wont stay in the tub to save your life, and the water pressure is like Niagara itself is raining down on you! But, it's a great budget- friendly hotel right in the heart of the Niagara Falls Ontario's day and night scene. We would definately stay again, and highly recommend it! Word to the wise...do yourself a favor and DONT STAY ON THE AMERICAN SIDE!!! We left a hotel over there in the middle of the night because we found bugs invading our room!!!! We have stayed at the Comfort Inn Clifton Hill several times. For the price paid, it is satisfactory, and we really like the location.

Stayed for 1 night with family. This has 2 things going for it - location and service. It's right on Clifton Hill where all the fun stuff is (Ripley's Believe it or Not, SkyWheel, Wax Museum etc). The Maid of the Mist is just a block or two walk down the hill. (If you want to do the Journey Behind the Falls, that's a way longer walk). Service was prompt […] and effective; the breakfast is continental but offered a pretty broad selection (eggs, bagels, cereal, milk, juice etc). Pool available. Didn't use it though; can't comment. There's a room in the lobby that offers a microwave and 2 desktops with Internet Access. The free parking is a great benefit. But the rooms are dated though. Dirty bathroom tiles, peeling edges in small bathroom, smelly corridor etc. shows the age of the place. The beds were comfortable. However, for that neighborhood, I think this is great value, coz of location, service and free parking. There's also lots of eateries around (Kelsey's, Boston Pizza, Tim Horton's etc). If you are just looking for a place to crash for a night or two to see the Falls, you can't go wrong with this one. Les mer

We had such a good time at Comfort Inn Clifden Hill we decided to stay an extra night. There was so much to do around the hotel it was perfect spot to stay very central and a few mins walk to Falls. We took advantage of the passes sold at reception and planned our few days activities from there. Free Internet access was a bonus. as was the continental […]  breakfast included and the pool. We stayed midweek and it was perfect for a young family will definitly be returning next year great value for money. Les mer

It is in the area of greatest activity for families if you like the circus atmosphere.

If your staying for a night or two its decent because it is right in the middle of everything there is to do in Niagara. Because you won't be spending time in the room but if you are planning to spend time in the room then this wouldn't be your pick. when i was looking for a hotel i was looking for 1 night a clean room and a hot shower and for the price […] this worked... I have to seay that the Location is really great though its only a five minute walk to the falls and like 10 min walk to the other casino near the falls so that was a big plus... downfall no elevator so don't bring a heavy suitcase :) Les mer

staff seemed friendly and helpful. location was ok...it is on the Canadian side so the views of the Falls were aewsome. The Clifton Hill area is quite suprising.....VERY touristy with almost a carnival atmosphere! There were lots of wax museums, mini golf courses, haunted houses and just weird attractions right there by the Falls. The American side […] had more parks and was more appealling. Definately do the Maid of the Mist and the Cave of the Winds!!!! Les mer

When we arrived to check in our rooms weren't ready but the Front Desk employee gave us a key and said we could put our luggage in our rooms and the staff would clean around it. That was a first. When I asked where the elevators were, they didn't have any. So all of us (Seniors, by the way) had to drag our luggage up the stairs. A wheel was broken on […] one of them while in the process. Also, there is an indoor pool our rooms overlooked which caused our room to smell of chlorine. Within walking distance of the falls, a few short blocks. Lots to do in the immediate proximity of the hotel. Very convenient to have the included breakfast every morning. Pool was very nice. Nice place to bring kids.

We loved the location of the hotel. We did not have to drive to the attractions. You just walk down the hill and the falls are right there. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfest was good - nice not having to find or pay for breakfest each morning. The rooms were pretty quite! I didn't hear other people taking showers like I […] do in most hotels. We requested the first floor and didn't have a problem getting it. I recommend the first floor if you have someone in a wheelchair or a stroller. Also there was no hidden fees - we paid hotel.com price and I was not charged anything else when we got there - ie resort fee or parking fee. Les mer

After reading the past reviews, we thought this hotel would be a good choice for our family to visit Niagara Falls, but we were wrong. The location of this hotel is optimal for people with children. The surrounding area is very kid friendly. The hotel itself is very old and outdated. The beds were not adequate at all.
