Beautiful, well-maintained hotel, walking distance to the Village area and to a trail around Lake Arrowhead. Our kids loved the hotel pool. Only downside - there were two weddings the weekend we stayed - which meant LOUD people. Not entirely the hotel's fault, although the walls and floors seemed awfully thin...

I couldn't recommend the Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa enough, and my girlfriend and I are excited about returning soon! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfortable, and the hotel is conveniently located near the village. There wasn't one thing that we would have changed about our experience!

I had originally got the mountain view but it was more like the view of the parking lot. So i had to upgrade to the lakeview but didnt realize until i got there that i should have requested a balcony too! Sigh... We ended up staying there b/c the lady at the front desk was fairly new and she had to dbl check with others for everything. The best part […] of the hotel was BIn 189 the only restaurant in the hotel. The chilean sea bass was amazing! Overall it was a nice stay- i would reccomend to visit but during the summer. Les mer

I chose this hotel because of all of the great reviews and I was not disappointed. It was a very nice hotel that I would stay again next time I travel to Arrowhead. Staff was wonderful and helpful, restaurant was tasty, and rooms were very nice. Highly recommended!

Upon initial pull up to the valet area, there was a group of gentlemen standing around. We waited in the area for about 5-10 minutes for the valet person. Finally rolled the window down, "Excuse me do you work here?"..yes I dom how can I help you?....Um PARK MY CAR!!!!!!..Why would I be waiting in valet all this time right NEXT TO YOU if I didnt need […] help. The gentleman looked me and my guest up and down and said is this a 4wheel drive because we cant park it if it isnt and you dont have chains. Ok valet, no where on your hotels website do you say that. No covered parking so we had to dig ourselves out of snow, which was not a problem. So we go to check in, stand in line for about 15 minutes as there is only one man @ the desk. Got the feeling folks @ this location have never seen blk ppl before. Finally another guy comes and we start to check in with him. But while helping us he is answering phones, a 3-5 minute conversation @ 1 point, some random lady walked up and he assisted her...its like guy, we are @ your counter, the customer in front of you takes presidence over all the rest. Finally get our room keys....and they didnt work. So we decided to room service, their menu says full kitchen available until 11, then they have a late-night menu avail after until like 7am. So we placed an order around 9:45-10...the kitchen is shut down and we only have the late night menu. Well ok, then we only have turkey sandwichs...ok...we also dont have the chips or cookies that come with the sandwich.. @_@ ...well just send what you have goodness!!! And still got charged the full price. It was a lovely hotel, the view from the room was amazing, but I wont be returning. Les mer

Wonderful hotel and beautiful setting. Wish I could have staying longer. Loved it there. Beautiful drive. Off the path so be sure to account for the 20 minutes up the road but worth the drive.

The Lake Arrowhead resort was great! It was easy to find, and had everything I needed

This is where you want to be for a nice get away in the mountains. Nice little villages nearby and freindly locals.

just a fabulous hotel. The service was a little slow but good .But this is a great value and beautiful place and just 20 minutes from big bear.

My wife wanted to get away for our 16th wedding anniversary. She decided on Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa. This is a very beautiful & well maintained hotel. Our room was very nice. But some of the issues we had are as follows: 1) No secure internet connection ( For the price you pay, you should hope staff members know how to set up wep encryption for […] their wireless internet ), 2) Hard time finding parking & 3) Sleepless nights ( We were on the 2nd floor & occupants on the 3rd floor made a lot of noise { Dropping things / Moving about the room / Running in the room & hallways / Etc. } Les mer

We have stayed here before and returned because the hotel and rooms were convenient and comfortable. Our last stay was 3 years ago and while the dinner menu contained far fewer choices than our last visit, we ate there only once. On the other hand, the breakfast menu was excellent and we ate there every morning of our stay. With no snow on the ground, […] the hotel appeared ro be at less than 75% occupancy which meant we enjoyed a quiet lobby most days; perfect for reading in front of the fireplace. Beautiful lobby, rooms, and furnishings. Friendly helpful staff. Spa services way overpriced, and restaurant rather expensive too. Lake Arrowhead is pretty enough, an unusual landscape for southern California. Not spectacular, won't impress anyone from e.g. Oregon. Interesting Hollywood-related history. Don't miss the paddle-wheel boat tour of the lake […] - Cap'n Jim shows and tells a lot about the celebrity history of the lake and the lakefront homes. Les mer

The only problem was that the hot water wasn't working one day in the morning, I called the front desk and they said that they have a problem and they don't along this is goint to take to get fix.

Everything was wonderful, except that the walls are thin and you hear the plumbing from the room next door.

Overall, a pretty good experience. The room was nice and well appointed. Used towels were taken from our room which we appreciated, but new towels were not brought in which seemed odd. We had to request additional towels both nights. Also, bottled waters in the room refrigerator that we drank, were not replaced. The bed, made up very nicely, but not […] very comfortable. The safe in our room did not work.. The hotel itself was lovely and decorated very tastefully for the holidays. The restaurant (Bin 189) was great for breakfast and appetizers. Service for each meal was excellent. Unfortunately, we ate there for Christmas dinner and was not that impressed with the dinner. It wasn't bad and given the limited choices for a nice dinner on Christmas in Lake Arrowhead, we could have done a lot worse... The bar was disappointing. Mixed drinks were not good at all. Our glasses were prefilled with ice and half melted and drinks were watered down. Would I stay here again? Probably given the limited choices available for decent accomodations in Lake Arrowhead. My husband and I got a great deal for a three night stay at lake arrowhead resort over Christmas. The hotel was excellent- very cosy, the young staff working hard over the holidays. Accommodations were great, perfect for Christmas with a balcony view of the lake. Very local to LA and yet a world away. Only drawbacks - spa was good but over priced, fitness […] room only open when the spa was. The restaurant is good but expensive. But do try the best crab cakes we've had- great appetizer! We may come back just for those :) If you have a dog and are sick of the lack of accommodation that is truly per friendly, you'll love this place. The local pizza place is also great fun. Les mer

We had a fantastic time. We heard there was a cold storm coming in and we found a deal ad went up before the storm and the next day it snowed all day. We had a beautiful Alpine room with a patio that overlooked the trees and lake. The room was very nicely decorated and very clean. The bed so very comfy. We would defintely stay here again

Nice and romantic setting.

I gave the hotel a high rating, but there were a couple of funky things: the beds were very uncomfortable, the internet service was sooo slow it took 3 minutes to load one page, and there were no sheets on our bed when we arrived...only a comforter...very strange, overall good location and nice hotel

My husband and I went to this hotel after bitter dissapointment that due to a family emergency, our family would be unable to be together for Thanksgiving. The hotel staff was professional, friendly and very efficient! We were treated like royalty the minute we arrived. The line moved quickly for check in, which was great considering this was a holiday. The […] Thanksgiving meal that was a buffett was fabulous! The room was quiet, clean and very nicely decorated. The only concern we had was the bed. It was extra firm, which is really not to our liking. If you are looking for an adult get away, trust me, the resort is gorgeous, but the amount of sreaming, running children who were staying there was more than expected. There was no "quiet time" in front of the main fireplace in the lobby or in the bar...it had been taken over by small children. I literaly even stepped over several in their pajamas while trying to get to the bar for a cocktail. Other than the little darlings...it was great!..oh, and they allow dogs, which was wonderful to see them all dressed up in holiday attire, sitting and very well behaved...wished the kids would have been as good as the dogs! Great place to get away and relax. Common area lodge and lounge very comfortable. Brought the dog and had a great time!

Great, convenient hotel for a relaxing getaway!!

This hotel is located next to the village shops. The beach access to the lake is a plus. The cosmetics of the hotel could be improved (pealing exterior paint, hot tubs losing plaster, rust on the fences, etc.). The fitness room is good with free weights, machines, etc. The maids like to start making noise by 7:30 (talking loudly, stomping on the floors, […] knocking on the doors). Overall, this isn't a bad hotel, but for the price it isn't as nice as you might expect. Les mer

If you're looking for a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, look no further. While pricey, this hotel earns it. It is tastefully decorated and comfortable. I have no complaints and would not hesitate to stay here again.

We had a wonderful anniversary weekend. We arrived at 11am and decided to stop by the front desk, to our surprise rooms were ready for us to check in. We had a wonderful view of the Lake. We signed up for a campfire chat for Friday night and a guided hike for Sunday morning. We walked to the village next door where they were celebrating October Fest […] Sat and Sun. There is a grocery store and lots of shops and eateries. We ended up walking to the village everyday. We took the boat tour of the lake which was very enjoyable. Found a great salad bar at Woody's where we ended up having Sunday Brunch too. The Waffle house was great for Sat breakfast. There is an elevator by the Pizza place for those who don't want to do the small hill, it came in handy. The campfire talk Friday was interesting all about plants, it ended up being inside by the fireplace due to it being too cold outside. Sat we ate at the hotel Bin189 (we made a reservation online once we booked the room), we had a wonderful dinner and tried the wine samplers check out the wine menu they have 4 choices or you can create your own. The guided tour at the hotel was canceled but the hotel gave us maps so we could go on our own and they gave us a code to get in a gate to walk around the Lake, we really enjoyed that. The Spa and gym in the hotel are very nice and it was a treat to have free internet in our room. Every employee we talked to was very helpful. The hotel grounds are so peaceful and we found a bench past the beach area right next to the Lake that was private and romantic. We had an amazing time and really encountered wonderful being at the hotel and in the village. We can't wait to go back now knowing the drive, it was easy and with great views. A great getaway location. The hotel staff was very helpful overall. The shopping center and the lake are within walking distance. The shops are nice but just like everywhere else right now, we noticed quite a few closed locations. This was our first time at Lake Arrowhead and we'll definitely be coming back.

Beautiful lobby, nice bedding, nice gym, restaurant looked great, but beach front was tiny and did not try hot tub as it did not look that inviting and was not hot enough.

Our daughter, almost 2, nick-named this hotel "The Castle" as soon as she got out of the car. The lobby is very pretty, and staff was friendly. The lake beach was small, but not very crowded, so it was perfect for us. We also enjoyed walking the small path between the hotel and the lake. Our only real complaint is that we got a king room and found […] out once we were in our room that none of their king rooms have tub/shower combos. Which was a bit difficult with a toddler. The village is in walking distance, but there was plenty of parking each time we drove over for dinner. We really enjoyed our stay, and would come back here if vacationing in Lake Arrowhead again. My husband and I booked a lakeview room for our second anniversary. Upon arrival we discovered that we had a lovely view of the trees with no view of the lake. We called the front desk to inquire if there had been a mistake. The response was cheeky: "the trees grow and we can't go cutting them down so you can see the lake". Since the trees have grown […] so tall so unexpectedly from when we had booked our room two months prior, I can only imagine the interest the science community must have in the area. The location is great but if you're going to relax and enjoy the view like we were, you may not get what you paid for. Les mer

The front desk need to know more about the surrounding area. I call about any dog friendly places to eat, twice. No one returned my call, and no one know of any in the area. Also, if you're going to have a pool ( which is nice) at least keep the pool side looking nice. Dirty dishes and towels were not cleaned up until the next morning. I know this because […] I had a room that over looked the pool. Other then that, it was a nice hotel. Over all, I'm driving the extra 27 miles to Big Bear. Not much in Lake Arrowhead. Les mer
