"Right in the heart of Solvang"
Very good and friendly service. Clean and comfortable room. Great view off balcony into wooded canyon. Within easy walk of Solvang shops, bakeries,etc on the main street of Solvang but also quiet rooms (at least on the back where we were). Full breakfast included.

We truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again. The room was the perfect size and we liked the double security to enter into the building and the room.

As with all Holiday Inn Express hotels I've stayed in, the bed and the pillows make a restful night's sleep a virtual guarantee. The staff was exceptionally friendly. I would stay here again.
"Good price great location"
Nice hotel and great location. I was upgraded to a bigger handicap room for an unknown reason but was glad because the room was very roomy. A late 4pm check in at this hotel and i tried to check in early with my family but the room was not ready until 4pm. Word to the wise - this town Solvang closes early so with a 4pm check in time - you don't have […] much time to shop around before the town closes. "Clean comfortable room"
Very clean hotel with fantastic shower water pressure. Inner hallway had a little bit of a smell, but room was odorless and clean. Hotel is at the edge of town which means you walk a little more than some of the other hotels to get to the center of things, but only 3 blocks or so. "Great hotel for the price"
The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. I was pleasantly surprised. I've stayed at 5 star hotels where the walls are paper thin and the price 3x as much. They serve a great complimentary breakfast.
We came back to our room one night at aroudn1 am and the concierge had bagels and muffins out! That was amazing! Great hotel. P.s. do not go to the touch restaurant or bar- very angry locals.

Recently renovated-I think. Lobby was clean. Good location. Bed was very comfortable. Old property but nicely updated.

We enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Solvang. The hotel was convenient to the shops and restaurants. We were able to walk to the Taste of Solvang Food Smorgasbord and Wine Tasting Events easily. The hotel had a nice breakfast including boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, cereal, toast, bagels, cinnamon rolls, yogurt etc. The stairwell […] was kind of musty smelling but it was fine. Enjoyed our stay!! Great location and wonderful breakfast!! Very comfortable room.. The bed was a bit soft.. and the carpet should be updated at some point.. but neither detracted from our satisfaction with the stay..

The room was very unusual in that the bedroom was up on flight of stairs from the bathroom. Other than that quirk and it wasn't a bad one, the place is very secure and the staff is very polite. Located in the heart of Solvang, very close to a convenience store and places to eat breakfast and dinner.

"Alright stay for the price."
Nothing fancy just a clean room and a decent bed and the balcony overlooking the pool was nice one of the few bad things is its just a bit too close to the Freeway but even that's not too much of a bother. Overall, it was alright.

After we arrived, we were told that, due to an overbooking error, we were being redirected to a hotel in either Buellton or Lompoc. Given that we had specifically booked this hotel for it's location and WALK-ABILITY from wineries and given that we had been drinking, driving was not really an option, particularly 20 miles to Lompoc. "The Holiday Inn Solvang"
Service was very friendly. Rooms very clean, and the shower was pefrct! Beds nice, and the hot breakfast was really good. My only complaint was the construction or maintenence that eas going on above my room until 10 pm at night.

This hotel is clean, nicely furnished and inlcudes a very nice breakfast buffet. We were expecting the typical Solvang danish and fruit for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised at the quality and variety. Highly recommend this hotle for the price.

I would say prettty good. We got a handicapped roo mfor some reason but I dont complain. These rooms are usually bigger and in a better location. The room was comfortable and a little bigger than a normal room. The room had a great view of the countryside. The TV was placed weird, way off to the left of the bed so if you were watching tv as a couple, […] one would have the view and the other would not. There was some wear to the exterior of the property, on the stairway up to the room there was missing pieces which at night caused us to slip. To get to the room there are a few outdoor cooridors, these were secured with card access, this meant in order to get to our room from the elevator we needed to swipe our room key three times. Theres the good and bad of it. I would stay again but only if there are no other better choices in the area. Not repulsed but theres a few annoyances. Les mer

I had an excellent stay. Your staff was most courteous and accomodating. The continental breakfast served was a notch above the usual complimentary continental breakfasts I've experienced. I would definitely stay there again.

I always stay at this location when I'm in the area because it's convenient, clean, and easy to access. The staff is professional and the room is comfortable. It's also located in a quaint town, so seeing the local flavor of the area is nice if you don't mind the tourist attractions.

"Convenient hotel"
Hotel was located within walking distance of the attractions in Solvang. Desk clerk was very helpful in locating a fun, good place for dinner and providing maps to find museums, etc. Extra perk -- a very large hawk was perched on a tree limb just outside of our room. Great photo-op.

The room was clean ,the bed was comfortable and we were not bothered by noise . There was a elevator which made it easy to get the luggage upstairs .

I had a very good stay. It was clean, comfortable and quite. The only thing is that there was a problem with the key cards. Everyone in the hotel seemed to have problems with them. There was also a very pretty view on the back side of the hotel.

"Quick get away"
We recently visited this hotel for a quick get away and was very pleased with the hotel. Considering the price range the rooms were very neat and the staff was very helpful. Surprised this hotel hasn't been given a higher rating. The breakfast in the morning was very good and not at all like your typical Continental breakfast. Overall my experience with this hotel was ok, but I was quite surprised to see the maid had come in to clean the room one morning but neglected to make the bed!? I thought it was weird they put in the effort to replace the towels, straighten up, but then left with out doing anything else.

The location was excellent, right on the outskirts of town and within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. The hotel staff was very friendly. The only complaint I have is that we were only given towels for 2 people for the 3 night stay we had. We had 3 people in our room. The first night I asked for additional towels and never received them. […] The second night I had to ask for additional towels again. Also, they need to check the condition of the rooms. My wife and I stayed here 1 night while celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary in Solvang. The hotel is clean and comfortable while providing covered parking and offering a better than average breakfast buffet. Everyone at the check-in desk was so nice. They gave us choices of which room we would like, which I really liked. It was very quiet and clean. We had a nice balcony with a lovely view. It's in a good location, right on the main drive into Solvang. I would highly recommend it.
