Shilo Inn Tigard Washington Square - Tigard

Hotel smells of stale smoke even though it is a non-smoking facility. Bed is rock hard with virtually non-existent pillows. The entire place seems dingy and dull. Breakfast is mediocre at best.

the rooms are small. The TV was not plugged in. There is a hole in the carpet under the sink. The carpet was not vacuumed well especially around the edges. Noted many areas of the hotel that need repair and upkeep.

Rates are the best. The hotel is dated (early 80's), but very clean and in a great location.

the quality of the room was what i was expecting for the price range. it was easy to find and access to and from the freeway was convenient and it was close to some of the specialty food stores and mall.

First impression was two people standing outside smoking like you see at a bar. Automatic front door sounded like it was going to fall off its tracks. Don't think I would stay there again.

This is the typical mid 70's road side motel tucked in to a shopping district. The rooms are small with low ceilings, and the lack of a recent remodel or serious cleaning makes it very close to disgusting. The staff is nice and friendly, but overall this is only some place you will want to stay if all of the other local chains are booked (Marriott, […] Hilton, etc.). I am not a business traveler that chases the cheapest prices as much as attempting to balance price and quality to be able to sleep! Les mer

Besides the convenience of the location, and the friendly staff, the hotel was not the best place we could have stayed, which we knew, for the price. However, sheets were still dirty when we arrived, the table in the room barely stood up straight, the ceiling had major water damage, and the bed was probably from the 90's.

We had stayed at this location a year ago. Very pleaant stay. The owner suggested we call the hotel directly next time we make reservations. I had decided to book through Hotels.com to eventually get a free room. I hope to attain that goal...but I'm not convinced it's a bargain!

I stayed at this hotel just 3 days prior and the room was fabulous. This stay the room was not as clean and it was very hard to sleep as the small fridge kept clicking off and on and the room this time was so tiny the fridge was right there next to me! This room was on the 3rd floor my last room was on the 2nd. Overall for price hotel is good value. […] But decor and cleanliness was different from one stay to the next one room to the next. The Shilo is the located in an excellent location. It is convenient to shopping, eating, freeway, etc. The Hotel could use a little remodel, but it was clean and that is the most important.

Clean room. Friendly front desk. Easy check in and out. TV was older but worked fine. Well lit parking. Plenty of towels. Small fridge in room with coffee pot. Good value. Will stay there again.

The hotel was cheap all the way around. The price was low yes! The breakfast was so-so. The TV came in very fuzzy and was very old. I think it was on its last legs. It still had the old Nintendo 64. If you just need a cheap place to stay and you are not expecting to much this is your place to stay. This Shiloh is not up to the same standard as all the […] other Shiloh's that I have stayed at. My soon-to-be-husband and i went to Portland to spend his birthday and for the price it wasn't too bad. Located right off the highway and easy access to the Washington Square mall. Had a great time!

Personnel were very helpful and courteous. I checked into this facility due to the extreme heat in our area and I do not have a/c at home. So this was for the comfort of myself and my old pug dog. I have no complaints.

The television in my room didn't work well. At first it wouldn't even come on and when I asked the front desk about it, all they said was to play with unplugging it. Good place if all you need is a place to sleep. Poor WiFi reception in room. Minimal TV channels. Continental Breakfast was all pre-packaged cereals, pastry, bagels, bread. Not much else. Staff was pleasant, and hotel is clean. Easy I5 access. Easy Washington Square access. Again, if all you need is a place to sleep, this works.

For the price, it was a bargain. I was trying to get a room for two of us in a budget hotel. This totally fit the bill. Breakfast included, free wifi...

Extremely disappointed...online pics of the facility both outside and in the room were misleading. No roll-aways available. Simply not what we were expecting for the price.

The room type(Queen w/sleeper sofa) I paid for was not a room type offered in the hotel. This is a problem for hotel and Expedia. Then I was upgraded to king w/sleeper sofa and sofa had no mattress. Won't stay there again.

The Shilo Inn Tigard provided us a clean room with and hot showers while we were driving through Oregon. Easy access to\from the freeway, the free breakfast consisted of cereal and yogurt, the coffee was decent. Our room was pretty bland and boxy, the window-mount AC kept the room cool, I didn't notice any obnoxious noises coming from other areas of […] the building. Stayed just one night and moved to The Phoenix for the next three nights. Rate was exactly the same but the quality was incomparable! Tiny ill maintained, hot room with peeling wall paper and horrible bed vs. King bed with office/ living room area and great AC at The Phoenix. Would never go back to Shilo again.

The front office help needs more help. she was doing her best but the computer was messed up, the hotel overbooked and guests were getting irritated with her for things that were not her fault. The router went out while I was waiting, ice machines were broken so you could only get ice by asking her to get it out of the back. The room walls are not very sound proof. (adjoining room). The so called breakfast was very substandard even for the rate. I didn't bother and went out for breakfast. The staff was cordial and helpful. Service question is too vague. The room was small, but the price was low, so per square foot, it was ok. The shower head needs attention. There was an old fashioned bedspread that looked to be about 20 years old on the bed; bed linens did not smell fresh and the bed was so hard I did not get a good nights sleep. The desk area was small and not comfortable for laptop and paperwork. I would not stay at this hotel again.

Over all the Hotel was great but the beds are hard and the pillows were very uncomfortable... I would for sure go back again
