Best Western Plus University Park Inn & Suites - Ames

Nice staff who were responsive. Rooms were very nice and clean. Great bed! Nice pool. Good breakfast. We plan to stay there again as we have college kids.

Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean, modern and had plenty of conveniences. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was included - this is always a plus when we are staying at a hotel. It is so nice to be able to eat a light breakfast without leaving the hotel. Waffles, eggs, sausage, toast, cereal, juice, yogurt, fresh fruit. Lovely hotel and very comfortable stay. I would definitely use again and recommend. My only comment would be that we had to change rooms upon arrival, as I'd booked a king suite with a separate (doored) sleeping area and that is not what they had assigned when we got there. Thankfully, one was available upon arrival and we made a switch otherwise we […] might have left and had to deal with cancelling a pre-paid reservation. Great location, close to ISU. Good breakfast. Very nice, large breakfast area. Room was OK. Nothing special. Clean. Quiet. Refrigerator in room, no microwave. Would probably stay again, but might look for something a little nicer.

Breakfast was phenomenol. There were eggs and sausage along with waffles, yogurt, cereal, tst, and all your drinks.

I could have stayed at a less expensive hotel in the area, but I trust Best Western. Cheaper hotels had bad reviews of noisy neighbors, dirtiness, and poor amenities. I enjoyed the hotel very much. It was very quiet even though it was very close to Highway 30.

The hotel was close to the college campus but had a quiet embodiment. The mini fridge and made left over restaurant food easy to keep. Overall spacious and welcoming. The front desk takes specific information about your car before you can park in their lot which guarantees you a spot later that night. Great location near Iowa State University. Great breakfast, and when I got there too late, the staff got the food out again so my daughter and I could have a goof breakfast. Nice pool and hot tub. We asked for a pet-free room, and even though they don't have rooms that are pet-free, they found us one that had no evidence whatsoever of having animals […] having stayed there, and I appreciated that. Stayed here one night while visiting ISU. Hotel was very clean and comfortable. The hotel looks to be very well maintained - the carpet in my room looked new. The complimentary breakfast was good. Very convenient location if you are visiting ISU.

Great continental breakfast. The waffle maker is a plus. Hotel was clean and up to standards for a hotel of this caliber. I would recommend this hotel.

This hotel offered breakfast as part of the deal, but the breakfast was horrible. We chose to go somewhere else to eat. We were on the ground floor, so had bugs in the room/bathroom. They were cleaning the carpets, so wet. Front desk was very nice and helpful, would make them the star asset. Hotel needs makeover.

Stayed for 1 nite while visiting our sons @ Iowa State. Hotel was very conveniently located. Beds were very comfortable. Clean rooms & common areas. Breakfast was a plus when we stay in a hotel. Saves us lots of time and money for that to be included in o ur stay. Smoking rooms, however, were evident in several locations throughout the hotel. Very good hotel and very close to ISU campus. There's not much around the hotel. However, there is a gas station with convenience store attached which made getting drinks and such convenient. Overall a pleasant stay.

Close to Iowa State University, very convenient. Room was clean, but very hot as A/C was not on when we arrived in room, but cooled off by that night. If we had arrived just as we were going to sleep, it would have been uncomfortable.

Very nice rooms, comfortable beds, pleasant desk people, and the best part is the lovely lobby where you have many choices for breakfast, both hot an cold.

We stayed overnight during our daughter's orientation for iowa State. Comfortable bed and pillows, very clean room and bathroom, TV not a flat screen but crisp picture. Hot breakfast with make your own waffles. Not a fancy hotel but comfortable, clean and good price. Close to football stadium and Hwy 30 for easy in and out of Ames.

I have stayed here several times and really liked it. This time had a room on the second floor. Room over all was great, except the shower had no pressure. With this problem was able to shower just hard to rinse off and had to take extra time.Also had to use the sink to remove shampoo and conditioner from hair after shower. The facility is up to date and nicely decorated. Room and bedding were clean and comfortable with fairly new bedding. The breakfast was excellent - eggs and bacon, waffles, fresh fruit in additional to typical cold breakfast options. The business center was free and had two computers and a printer - very helpful. The Best Western University Park Inn & Suites provided a clean, comfortable room with the business traveler in mind - good work area in the room with free, fast WiFi and a reasonable hot breakfast. The only drawback was the rather poor fitness center. I definitely recommend this hotel for the price, quality, and location.

We were in Ames to move my daughter into Iowa State Univ. This is the second time we've stayed at this Best Western and it's tremendous! The staff are all very friendly, the place is quiet and comfortable and the free breakfast is very good. I hope to be able to stay at this place during every trip we make to Ames to visit for the next 4 years!
