Check in staff was superb - kind and friendly. No amenities, not even shampoo or washcloths! Mold on the inside of the shower curtain. Otherwise pretty clean.

Good price, friendly staff and great location. Hotel does need some upgrades and newer bed sheets and needs a bigger bathroom in the rooms. Overall the hotel is clean and for the prices can't really complain too much. Will stay there again.

On check in our bathroom vent cover was laying on sink counter, Fan inside was disgusting!!! NO TOWELS, WASH CLOTHS, SOAP, NOTHING!!! Called front desk they brought up 2 towels 1 wash cloth for 2 of us!!No soap etc. Lady told us they were running SHORT on things!!!! Called front desk, 45 min. later brought 1 wash cloth 2 bars of soap!!! NOT GOOD!!! […] ! Les mer

Terrible experience. I was woken up at 4:30am Saturday morning by the snow removal crew. He was racing his truck around the parking lot, gunning the engine at full speed, getting stuck in the snow and ice, and making much more noise than necessary. The driver had no regard for guests trying to sleep. My room faced the front of the hotel, and 25 other […] guests also had the same problem. I also asked for a non-smoking room, and the smell in the room was terrible, and the cigarette burns in the counter top were a sure sign it is a smoking, and a non-smoking room. This is terrible for someone with smoke allergies, and is really just a blatant lie. A non-smoking room should not ever be used by a smoker, as this one obviously was and is. Also no food at the breakfast bar on Sunday morning. There was a large group of kids at the hotel and they hogged up and wasted all the food put out for all the guests. Terrible. Les mer

I went to visit my fiance for a few days and we have stayed at this hotel a few times before. We were in a nonsmoking room, but the smell of smoke came through the bathroom vent every day we were there and we had to constantly spray air freshener to get rid of the smell. Great value. Reasonably priced, and you are getting an above average nice clean room out of the deal. All the furnishings you could ask for. I was very pleased with my stay. I will definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kansas City.

It was ok. Nothing terrible, nothing great. They were WAY late getting the room ready (2 hours past check-in time) and there were no kleenex in the room. Also an odd smell after the room was closed for a while (mold?). We are in KC 3-4 times a year and will not go back to this hotel.

It was a wonderful stay i wouldnt mind going back and stay two three weeks and bring my family. Im going to let everybody know about this stay.

The facility was adequate but definitely not glorious. Examples: the dresser drawers were off the tracks and fell out hitting me on the foot (ouch), the hooks were still in the wall where they had remove a picture over the bed but never replaced it, the sink faucet fixtures had a gap from the sink it self of more than an inch, I was in a non-smoking […] room but could smell cigarette smoke coming through the ventilation system from another room, and finally I could hear the snoring guy in the next room. Room smelled a bit like mildew, but the bed was incredibly comfortable--I slept more soundly than I do at home. A fine place to stay if you're not planning to spend a lot of time in the hotel room.

It started when the desk clerk announced that there might not be a room because "they accept bookings from Expedia even if they don't have rooms". It turned out they had one - that smelled like smoke although it was a non-smoking room and had ants. The hotel is old and it shows. It is not a place to stay for everyone. The bed linens were the wrong size for the bed, double bed sheets on a queen size bed. Will not ever book a hotel can not be id before booking again

Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. Made me feel like I was interrupting their entire day every time I engaged them. The hotel ran completely out of shampoo, so we had to use bar soap on our hair. The beds are rock hard. Would not return.

The room was very clean and spacious; although there was a stuffy smell to the room. My stay was a brief overnight stopover; but this is ideal and roomy for an extended stay. Great value.

The doors were open. Peep holes were falling out, tape on the doors. When we arrived to our door the door was opened and the room was trashed, looked as tho several parties had occurred and two tornadoes. Their is no hotel staff at night that could assist with anything just one of the grounds people to have you sign and hand u a key. He called the manager […] who offered no sympathy or concern to even show up....The security guard gave us the card and told us to return in the morning to actually talk to a staff of hotel. Good room, good price. Enjoyed stay except for one minor issue - you will have no ice unless the previous guest made and left ice cubes in the freezer. Ours had none the night we arrived, and the staff was unable (or unwilling) to find some for us.

Our stay was acceptable. I say acceptable because of three deficiencies. The bed was extremely hard for both my wife and myself. The reclining chair was broken and could not be used. Other than a few lights needing to be changed and no oven, everything was perfect. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I did an extensive search on the reviews before I booked this hotel. Ironically, when I visited, this hotel was the exact one I stayed at in 2007. The location was a few minutes from my family and the fact that I had a room with a fridge, microwave, stove, etc., was very accommodating. There is no housekeeping ervice, so I was told, if you don't stay […] for at least a week (I only stayed 2 nights), so I had to exchange my own towels. The front desk needs extra people working and everyone who works the desk should have access to the computer to checks guests out. I left at 3:45 a.m. and wanted to make sure I wasn't charged anything extra but was told the front desk didn't open until 7 a.m. The room doors are not like other hotels. When I put the key in, I had to forcibly strike the handle to open the door. Overall, now that I know there is no housekeeping service, I would stay again if I visited this city. Besides, I'm sure it won't be the same staff when I visit again. Les mer

Let me first say, the hotel desk clerk was amazing. She was friendly, we were checked in fairly quickly, very willing to help with directions and gave us fresh clean sheets immediately upon request. That being said, the hotel is DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY!!! The hallways, the rooms, and when you find long strands of hair in the bed that you never layed in […] and your own hair is cut short, you know the sheets were not changed! Hotel was ok - first floor rooms were nice - 2nd floor not so nice. Mold in the fridge and the walls needed painting. The mattress was like sleeping on a slap of cement - back was so stiff in the morning I could hardly stand straight up!
