Econo Lodge & Suites - Victoria

The outside looked a little rough so I was worried about the room, but it was very nice and spacious inside. They are replacing a bridge right next to it, so using gps it was a little confusing because you had to detour, but a great value for Victoria. I would stay there again.

The hotel was adequate and having an outdoor pool by the bay was lovely. There is currently construction nearby so that made the commute a bit difficult and the noise of the construction was a bit much, but not something controlled by the hotel! The room was decent, with a kitchenette, but lighting wasn't very good. The continental breakfast was sparse […] without much fruit and no soy milk to offer for cereal. Great kitchen amenities.ample space with separate bedroom, lr and kitchen. Very clean. great location for evening walks along the gorge. Unfortunately it is beside a major construction project,heavy equipment noise began at 7am, traffic snarls. Arrived for the complementary breakfast just before 10am, very little choice as the waiter was removing the […] food as i stood there, he seemed to be in a big rush. same with the front office clerk, he was not unpleasant but would not engage to answer our questions with any detail. basic hotel.Staff pleasant. Big draw for us was the closeness to "the gorge". Avery nice walking trail along the north side of the water was a perfect finish to a fabulous day

Was our second Christmas season at this location. Stay was great. Staff are wonderful. They helped make our stayin the area memorable.

The service was very friendly and the location was beautiful. It was a really nice space for the price. The only thing is, the hotel itself was quite dated, which made sense for the cost of the room. The only thing I would say, is that the matress was TERRIBLE! The bed was not comfortable AT ALL! If a major renovation isn't in the future I highly reccommend […] replacing the beds. Les mer

The room was quite comfortable but the beds are very firm. They have good breakfast choice and lots of coffee. Overall, the stay was great except for the noise from the street. You have to keep the A/C unit running to keep the out traffic noise.

Went to breakfast room in AM, although clean, it was crowded and a large family with children fighting and shouting drove us out. We didn't eat. Our room was next to a busy noisy street. Room was clean though, and front desk persons (the only ones we saw) were pleasant. Very inconvienent drive to Victoria.

Facility is old with bad smell. Staff is not very helful. You will runin your vacation with this.

This pet friendly hotel was surprisingly charming for the price. Our queen room was fairly standard and simple, EXCEPT it came with a full kitchen (i.e. real stove and oven, mini fridge, sink, dishes, everything). Unfortunately, we were only there for one night and didn't need to use the kitchen, but it was a nice touch. (I assume it was an upgrade […] from the standard room, but have no idea.) The people at the front desk were exceedingly nice (like all Canadians, it seems) and let us do a late check out. We didn't partake in the free continental breakfast, but I checked out the space later on and it was really adorable, inclusive of an outdoor patio with flowers and tasteful, cloth umbrellas next to a serene pond that forms part of the park next door. The outside decor of the hotel was a lot nicer than I was expecting -- charming even, with colorful stucco and lots of flowers everywhere. This just wasn't what I was expecting for the second-cheapest hotel listed on Expedia. Location-wise, it is not downtown like a lot of the other hotels, so you probably want a car (or at least a bike) if you are going to stay there. It is probably a 10 minute drive to downtown. We enjoyed our time at the hotel, close to walking paths around inlet. Since we visited Royal Roads, downtown, Bear Mountain and the airport we thought it was a good central location.

We stayed over Christmas for five nights. The staff were wonderful; housekeeping was great; and the complementary breakfast was filling. Would stay again. Great time.

the rooms were a good size,lots of room,the room was very clean nice quiet area about 10 minutes from major restaurants.for the dollar it is a good deal as with anything else if you want opulance you have to pay for it.they have a daily pet charge compared to other flat fee hotels.

My wife and I stayed one night. Very comfortable, restaurants within walking distance, reception very professional and helpful, basic continental breakfast. Clean comfortable stay.

We have stayed at this motel a few times and find it to be priced right for the accomodation. The rooms are clean and spacious and have the usual room compliments as well as the inclusive continintal breakfast. This motel's location is well suited for our needs when we travel to Victoria visiting friends, however it's a little out of the city ( 15 min. […] to downtown ) . If you want to do things downtown and don't mind the drive, it's a good place to stay. Les mer
