I was very impressed, the room was clean and we liked having the living area away from the beds. It was very quite on our floor, and the breakfast was great. Would definitely come here again.

I loved this place. Everytime i come to the Dallas area thats where im staying. Its 20 mins or less no matter which direction you go to everything. The customer service was unmatched.

Consistency - met expectations based on all other HI Express' I've stayed in. Location is pretty good for the Las Colinas area but isn't really next to anything except the Irving Convention Center.

Two girlfriends and I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for the Texas Half. It was close and convenient and even shuttled us to the start line! The night clerk, sorry I didn't catch his name, even shuttled me to a local restaurant to meet my friends the night before the race! Everything was great, except the hotel wireless internet was down. And as the lady at the front desk mentioned it had been down from 25th-1st(the day i checked out).

The breakfast was great compared to most. The staff was great. The only complaint is the dirt that settled around the slip resistance mat stuck to the center of the tub. Not a major issue because I always pick up a small bottle of bleach. Even the best of the best isn't perfect.

Staff was very cheerful and pleasant. They were very knowledgeable of locations and travel routes which were very helpful. Property nice and enjoyed my short stay.

Stayed for 4 nights and couldn't sleep the first 2 nights because of their HP was running 24/7 and it was loud. I called the front desk to see if HP can be turned off and the answer was no. Second night I got frustrated and told the front desk I'm being sleep deprived and then the front desk person finally told me to unplug it at the bottom. loved being within walking distance of convention center, but there weren't many restaurants close... had to drive to get to any of them. getting to the restaurant was easy but because of the one way roads getting back was not easy at all.

The hotel was nice, right next to where I had my conference, but the toilet wasn't clean. Everything looked nice. Their convention center bus didn't arrive on time, but they called another hotel and got their shuttle service to pick me up.

This hotel is wonderful!!! The staff was very friendly and helpful! Bottom line I didn't have to worry about anything, the staff did it all!

The upside is this Holiday Inn is located next to the Irving Convention Center. The down side there is no sidewalk you either need to walk in the drainage ditch or freeway to get there which is not all that bad. Also there are no stores or restaurants near by but you'll need some sort of transportation or use there shuttle. The breakfast is good not […] great. I would stay again. Les mer

My family and I were in the area for a futbol (soccer) game and chose this hotel to stay because it 1. accommodated 6 people 2. reasonably priced 3. not far from highway access 4. have had very good experiences at Holiday Inn's around Texas and 5. included all the little perks that we wanted, such as wifi, pool, fitness area, and free hot/cold breakfast. When we booked this hotel because it is actually the closest hotel to the Irving Convention Center. We were attending an event there. When we booked, we called the hotel and asked if they were within walking distance of the Convention center. We were assured that they were. Well, if your idea of walking distance is 1.5 mile stroll along a very busy […] street, then I guess technically it's true. The staff at the hotel was indifferent at best (rude in some cases). They did have a shuttle, but it was late, the driver was grumpy and the bus wasn't big enough for all of the people to get on. No shuttle back from the event. We had to take a cab...And that was fun - the cabby didn't want to take us such a short distance and charged us $11 for the ride. I rarely write reviews about the places I've stayed, and now I feel like I need to go back and write some great reviews about other hotels I've stayed in. But this one - the price was too high for what it was, the staff was rude, the building is clean but in need of repair and they lied to us about being walking distance to the convention center. If I were you, I would stay somewhere a little bit further away and take a cab or a shuttle until they build Hotels right next to the convention center. Les mer

Nice hotel next to the Irving Convention Center Nothing around the hotel you'll need a car for most things. Breakfast was ok No sidewalk to Convention Center (you have to walk on the freeway)

Hotel was extreamly nice!! Loved the room, very clean. Check in was slow because they had trouble finding us a room although we had reservation. They had a stack of keys with numbers set aside for reserved rooms but no names and for some reason, they couldn't give me one of those, even though the girl had no idea who they belonged to. It took an hour […] before she thought to look for a printout with room numbers and names only to find out the room we had been asigned had not been clean yet. One of the guys there did make several trips up stairs to find out what rooms had been cleaned fi they were ready. I was glad for his help as the front desk attendant didn't seem to know what to do. They did not seem to have effecient system set up to put info in computer about if rooms were ready or not. Our email confirmation said we could check in at 3. We got there at 3 and did not get into a room until 4 or later. That is my only complaint, could have just been bad day for front desk. I will definately stay there again but may call on the way there to make sure I am assigned a room and that my key is ready. :) Les mer

The Room and the hotel as a whole was very nice. The part that was bad was the fact that breakfast starts at 7am and I didn't get a chance to take advantage of part of what I paid for because the breakfast was not ready and I had to leave. This was disappointing because that is one of the reasons I booked the place is for the breakfast. There was no […] sense of urgency by the front desk or the other staff. There were about 6 or 7 guest who all came down for the breakfast and they too were unhappy about this. I would like to think this was a one-time mistake but the reaction from the desk "MANAGER" was like this is the norm. So if you have to stay there be prepared for the chance that there may not be breakfast at 7am like the place advertises. Les mer

Excellent for the price. Very nice room with a living room area and a fridge/kitchen area. Comfortable beds, clean bathroom. The free breakfast was mediocre... the coffee was pretty bad, but I don't expect much from free breakfast. There is a Starbucks a 5 min drive away. My only real complaint is that it's not convenient at all to walk to the convention […] center. It's very close, but separated by a bayoo/floodway thing, so you have to walk the long way around. The hotel was nice but the service sucked! We were to get rooms side by side, with a play pin for child in room. They gave us rooms in different floors one room was bigger then the other but we still payed the for the price of larger room for both. We had business at the Las Colinas Irving Convention center. The Hotel is very close to the center. Hotel is very quiet and we were right by the elevator and never heard it.

The location wasn't very convenient for accessing restaurants on foot (since I didn't have a car) but the shuttle would take you anywhere.

THE HOTEL WAS NICE, BUT THE FIRST NIGHT THERE WAS NO ICE BOX IN USE AND WE AHD FOOD AND WAS NOT MOVE TO ANOTHER ROOM AFTER WE REPORT IT\, WE DID GET ONE THE NEXT DAY, BUT WE THOUGH THAT WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN SOMETHING FOR THAT ERROR, HOPE SOME ONE ELSE DOSE NOT HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM.

My only quibble: Sometimes the front desk had no one there when I stepped up with a question, and I had to call several times before a person appeared. Otherwise, we found the place restfully quiet at night, the light blocking curtains worked, and the breakfast included real eggs (most appreciated!). Whole wheat bread was available and the toaster worked. […] I bring my own English breakfast tea to avoid the ubiquitous Lipton, the hot water worked satisfactorily, and the half & half packets were fresh. As expected with a Holiday Inn Express, Clean, Breakfast was great, Good Value for the money. Front Desk when we arrived was not interested in us at all, told we would be brought towels for pool, never happened, no klenex brought up as promised, and we were shown how to open the side door without the key?!?!?! We had a suite with two double beds and a sleeper sofa. GREAT size for our family of 16 to get together and visit. We all got rooms there but expected to have to meet downstairs. It was a nice surprise that a room was plenty big for all of us to converge. The little kitchenette was nice, too, but we didn't use it.

when i was laying on my bed i found a small spider and an insect flying in the room. it wasn't a big deal but it was weird to see 2 insect inside my room.

This hotel was clean and looked great. However, not functional for our travel. We arrived late evening and starving! Most hotels have a list of close resturants and those who deliver in the room, but nothing. I called the desk and they had a little book of eat in out. The delivery time was an hr and a half! Also, in the room everthing was energy saving […] so the lights were dim and NO water pressure. Beds were comfy but not plush. Everyone was nice but not over impressive. This hotel is great for business travel as it had lots of computer jacks and would be comfy for 1 person. Not for families. Les mer
