I found the staff very friendly and the location was close to restaurants and all the things we wanted to see. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable.

Our stay here was extremely comfortable and enjoyable ... the only drawback was our directions to our room...we were not told that there was an entrance (without stairs) next to our room....instead we were told there was a door in the rear and ample parking....we saw "a" door and entered and had to climb a flight of stairs...(we both have bad knees)...and […] then we carried our luggage the entire length of the building to our room... Location was perfect for the purpose of my trip - enroute to a conference at the Kempenfelt Centre. The room was clean and comfortable; however, the hotel is showing signs of wear and tear. The towels looked a little shabby and should be renewed. Like the concept of the "handy rag" for uses other than bathing/washing and gives some insight into the […] condition of the towels proper. We chose this hotel as they accepted pets and we travelled to Collingwood the next day. Service was great and rooms were clean and have been updated. check -in staff were very friendly and helpful.

We were there for a triathlon w/e for my daughter, so the only room we got was a smoking one. So it smelled like it, but I guess it is not the hotel's fault. Otherwise it was in a perfect location for the venue, beds and room very comfy. Great value for the money.

This Hotel is conveniently located beside major Highway which was easily found.The room was large enough with 2 double beds,with micro-wave and bar fridge for keeping toddlers milk cold.Check-in was fast and check-out not needed as was paid through Hotels.com.Staff was friendly and helpful!

Booked a room with 2 double beds. Upon arrival the clerk at the desk said she had just given away my room to the woman who was ahead of me in line. The clerk then said she would have to upgrade me to a suite. However it had only one queen sized bed and a pull out couch. She assured me the pull out was comfortable - not so. "King Size Bed"
We arrived @ the Comfort Inn & Suites in Barrie, ON on Essa Rd. & when I booked the room through Hotels.ca, I paid for a King Suite & instead got a Queen suite. The room was not cleaned except that the linens were changed & the garbage was taken out. When we came back to the room the Friday afternoon, we noticed that the bathroom tub was not cleaned […] as there was still hair in the tub. The hallway carpet was stained & the hotel looked liked it hadn't been updated in many years. There were chunks of ceramic that were chipped out of the stairs & I also didn't like the fact that there was not elevator. We had alot of luggage & small children. The bed was probably the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in & I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Although it was convenient to have some restaurants right beside the hotel but other than that I will not be staying there again. Les mer

The first thing I saw when I entered my room was a big bug right on the bed and in the bath tub some hair and not form the top of your head so sick!!!!

Right off of the Hwy, Tim Hortons just steps behind it, and a great beach not 5 mins down the road!!! The overall condition of this hotel was excellent! Staff was very friendly and helpful, and room was very clean. I will be going back to this location again, and highly reccomend it to anyone. A+++ in my books!!!

Greeting on arrival was friendly, professional and quick. Front lobby was clean and presenting. The room itself was large, clean and well laid out. Our one complaint is that the bed could use replacing. It squeaked and was rather hard for our taste.

This hotel offers smoking rooms and in order to get to our non smoking room we had to walk through the hall of the smoking rooms, it was horrendous. The smell at the top of the stairs almost killed us both. If anyone has respiratory problems this could send them into an asthma fit or worse....

My family stayed for a few nights over March break. Close to ski hills - skied Blue Mountain, Snow Valley and Moonstone. Good basic accomodation at affordable price. Staff was very friendly and curteous. Breakfast area was well stocked with toast/waffles,cereal, juice, coffee and fruits. Quiet location. Able to get a cot in room without being too cramped. Good place to stay as we traveled through to Northern Ontario and allows dogs. Pet friendly room was nice and smelled clean, which isn't the case at every hotel.
