Days Inn Dallas Garland West - Garland

I can't really complain about much, the hotel served its purpose and the staff for the most part was always ready and willing to meet our needs. It was a good stay.

I wasn't very happy that the ice machines were broke and there was no way to get ice. The hotel staff didn't seem to be too concerned. Also, the bed was a little hard. The cranberry juice at breakfast was red-colored water. Awful! Okay place to stay otherwise I guess.

Very clean and large room. A bit dated though. Stayed because of free wireless and location to my business needs. Staff were friendly. They smelled of eastern indian food and so did reception area. A little offensive if you don't like that type of food. Continental breakfast was only adequeate. Breakfast is a joke...go across st. to McD....dont waste ur time. Bed is hard as a rock. Plus side is great rate. Kjust dont expect too much

Some of the workers was rude especially when you needed tissue, breakfast items, towel, etc. Another couple my family stayed at the hotel. We chose to hotel and stayed three days. The rooms looked nice but there was a musty odor was throughout the hotel. Some the employees would not assist the customers, when other would not. It was clean and I would stay again. The location was close to the Freeway and where we were going. Good for the price. The surrounding area was not bad either.

The room was in good shape and had plenty of space. I really appreciated having the mini-fridge and microwave in the room. The shower temp and water pressure were both good. Unfortunately, the bed was too firm for our taste, and the pillows provided, although there were multiple to choose from, were almost all flat and thin. And the toilet seat really […] needed to be better secured. The location next to train tracks was not ideal, although access to the highway was convenient. The breakfast options were varied and decent, though not great, and the orange juice tasted a little like orange-flavored drink. Also, the ice machines did not work. The Wi-Fi in the rooms was very spotty, but the provided cable for an Ethernet line worked fine. Even with all the negatives, the Hotels.com room rate was good for the accommodations provided, and it was acceptable for 2 nights' stay. Les mer

WE CALLED TO GET AN IN-DOOR POOL AND SPA AND THEY SAID YES WE HAVE ONE.. WE SHOW UP AND THEY ARE BOTH OUTSIDE. EVEN WHEN WE ASKED THE 2 PEOPLE AT THE FRONT DESK FOR AN INDOOR POOL THEY POINTED TO THE OUTSIDE POOL AND SAID YES WE HAVE AN INDOOR POO. ""REALLY""

This place NEVER SLEEPS!!!! The walls are sooo thin we could hear the working girls next door to us all night. The owners refused to move us to a different room simply bc that's not a "major concern ". The doors slam all night long and the cops had to be called by the owners twice in one night. DO NOT TAKE YOUR FAMILY TO THIS PLACE

We had to stay in a hotel while work was being done on our home. So,we ended up at this Days Inn. The family who own the property are very nice. The room was clean and turned out to be a good value for the rate we paid. I would recommend it. 4 stars

Great stay. For the money spent, this hotel was an excellent selection. I have stayed there on three different occasion.

The hotel itself was very nice. The only problem was the surrounding area was kind of ghetto. We could see drug deals going on at the next door hotel, Among other things. The hotel itself is newer so its nicely updated. Large Vizio flatscreens. Stainless steel minifridge and microwave. Comforatble clean room. The only problem we had was that our rooms […] heater did not work but we were promptly moved into another room. Continental breakfast was included. They had a very small fitness room. My sons and I had a great time at the hotel. They really enjoyed the great selection at the breakfast bar. Well worth the cost. Thanks.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room and bed was excellent, except for occasional subdued train noise. The continental breakfast was also excellent, and even included sausage biscuits, but there is limited seating in the dining area We were there for only one night, but will consider this same motel if staying in Garland again.

they didnt immediately have my reservation....however, within just a few minutes everything was ready. room was clean, comfy, and roooooomy! Was a great stay as compared to a hotel around the corner which was almost double the price with less space and poor repair. Thanks for the good nite sleep!

The hotel is tucked away in a questionable part of town next to some factories. Worst of all, it is right beside a train track that seems to run all night! The bed was horribly lumpy and uncomfortable and our air conditioner was working/not working the whole stay. Several cleaning/maintenence issues were evident as well - I never felt comfortable putting […] my bare feet on any of the floors. Everything was good. but the bed was to hard for me.

This hotel was Ibetter but now its seems its going down. Although it says smokeless everywhere some where smoking is allowed. I dont like the smoke everytime you walk in the hall , you smell smoke

We booked a smoking room, and upon opening to door, we were blasted with stale cigarette smell, like they hadn't opened a window in years. And I understand that it's going to smell like smoke being a smoking room and all, but this was down right ridiculous! There was a patched hole that went through the wall into the bathroom. The toilet seat was held […] on by one bolt, so every time someone sat down it shifted out from underneath them. There was mold in the shower, our tv was fuzzy and the batteries were dead to the remote, when we went down to have them exchanged, the guy said he was out of batteries. He reluctantly found an empty room that he could take batteries from. It was a bad stay to say the least, and I will definitely spend more money for a better quality hotel next time! Les mer

When I arrived, the front office people were friendly, but after that, it was all down hill. I needed the room to get away from my family so that I could write a paper. I had problems connecting to the internet, so I called the front desk for help. The man on the phone said he would look into it and give me a call back. He never called back. When […] I went to take a shower. I grabbed a folded towel that looked just like the others, but it had nasty dried brown crust all over it. I could hear the person in the room next door all night who sounded like they were dying from emphysema and the people from the hotel next door who were fighting and cussing. I was supposed to be there for 2 days, so I put up the "do not disturb" sign. The maids tried to come in anyway and asked if I paid for the two days. They were pretty rude. Furthermore, either someone got the wrong room and tried to enter or someone tried to break into my room. Either way, thank God I used the metal latch at the top to block people from coming in even if they have a key. I didn't feel safe in this place and the service wasn't good, so I left early. Les mer

Bed was plywood on top of concrete. Pillows where bags of sand. So unhappy with sleeping which is the only reason we stopped there. Could not go on. State there for less than 8 hrs only things that was pleasant was the waffles. Especially for the price, I wa joy pleased with this comfort inn.

Nice place to stay for the price. AC didn't work. Wifi would not reach my room in the back of the hotel.

Our room was not very clean, from the dirty light switches in bath room to the overwhelming smell of smoke in the non smoking room. Very displeased! Would have asked to be relocated but we were too busy and tired and just wanted to rest before our long drive home. BEWARE!!!!!! 1st room smelled so bad. second room was a smoker's room i'm not a smoker but that all they had. i'd prepaid the room through Hotels,com but the night clerk ask for a credit card for security deposit. i was very surprised when the credit card company called two days later to ask me about a number of charges on my credit card. someone had […] stolen the info off the card strip and was running around ft. worth filling their christmas list [thousands of $]. i find it odd that the only place i used that card on my trip to dallas was at this DAYS IN in Garland,Texas. i told the credit card company this information too. i'll just put up a cash deposit if i every stay there again. for some reason the front desk wasn't able to access my online reservation or provide me a receipt at check out, saying that I could only get a receipt online. weird.

Very disorganized staff. Manager blamed morning staff for problems with room assignment. We were given a room that was OCCUPIED!!!! Cars were broken into during our second night there. Broken glass everywhere in the morning.

This hotel is clean and has a friendly staff. If you are in the area it is a good place at a great price. The bed was not very comfortable but not many are as good as my bed at home.

My door deadbolt did not work, was reported and was never repaired in two days. Desk staff was more interested in talking on their cell phones than doing their jobs. Sunday breakfast was out of several food and drink items at 8:00am and staff made no attempt to resupply. All the tables were dirty and the trash can was over flowing.

Front desk representatives could be a little more welcoming upon arrival and departure.

the sevice was ok nothing special like you are walking in any gas station , the room 315 was very stinky till we opened the window the smell was awful . very conveniance but i dont think i will go back and stay there there is a lot better choices

I had no wi-fi in room inwhich made it somewhat inconvient,otherwise the room was fine.

This hotel charged me and have not removed the charge nor will let me know y they charged me on top of hotels.com

There is only one complaint about our stay at the Days Inn, Garland, Texas. On the second night, the hotel ran out of wash cloths! We were told the hotel would get some the next day (Sunday); however, we were checking out Sunday morning. We simply went to the Wal-mart and bought wash cloths.

Hotel over booked their rooms. When we arrived, we were told they did not have a room despite having a reservation and that I should have been notified that morning of the problem. When I produced my confirmation notice he said the some of their quests extended their stay. I stated that my reservation was made more than a week in advance. The clerk […] then said that he may have a room and that we could have it as long as house keeping had finished cleaning the room. He indicated that several other potential guests (implied with reservations) had to be turned away. To make a long story short we got the room. The room was clean, ready to occupy, and met our expectations. The only other issue of note was that the continental breakfast was not ready as advertised. We had to wait with another hotel guest while the morning clerk prepared everything. Recommend you double & tripple check your reservation if you decide to stay here. Les mer
