"No better deal around!"
Only one time in my past five stays this year have I been put in a non-smoking room that stunk.. Went back to the front desk and was immediately put into another room. No questions asked. No hassle. Great room. Very clean. Very quiet. I don't believe in "you get what you pay for" because that implies paying a lower price means you get lower quality. Not really worth the price. The bed was like sleeping on plywood and the breakfast was laughable. They even charged for ice at the icemaker. Spend a few more bucks and go somewhere nicer.

I made my reservation late in the evening from the road, the only rooms left were smoking - when I got there I asked the front desk if they had one avaiilable and they were all booked - BUT -as soon as I checked in, they had a change and gave me a non-smoking room, AWESOME! I spent three nights total at the Econolodge in Hesperia, California and I wasn't surprised, I was impressed. The hotel staff was awesome, very welcoming and very accomodating. I had misplaced my phone charger and the staff held it for me until returned. My room was very clean and smelled very fresh. I had read the reviews about vehicle noise but it […] was never an issue. The price was great and I couldn't have found a nicer room at even the pricer hotels. I will definitely recommend the hotel to anyone who asks. went to a family x-mas party so only needed a room to sleep....it was very clean and comfortable for the price. Great places to eat, the morning after and easy on/off to the fwy. My husband and I have stayed there 3-4 times when we visit relatives in Hesperia.

Paper thin walls, and the noise from the freeway was unbearable. Our room came without a microwave and refrigerator, but we were only staying one night so it wasn't a big deal.

The front desk people are very nice but when we arrived, we found that we only had one towel in the room (for 2 adults and 2 children), no hand towels and no bath mat. The toilet paper holder was falling off on one side. The next morning I had to go back down and request towels again (they did not arrive as promised). We also had only lukewarm water […] in the tub the next morning. The pillows were the lumpiest pillows I have ever slept on and the "continental" breakfast was chocolate muffins and packaged sweet rolls. It is located conveniently right off the I15 and there are restaurants close by, and it was a clean room. But I will not go back. Les mer

The Econo Lodge is in a great location for us. We have stayed here three or four times and it works for us. The staff goes out of their way to help us if there is any problem. Very nice people!!!!!!!

"Caters to Traveling Construction Crews!"
I am a welder from out of town and stay here Mon-Fri. Continental breakfast was great, lots of coffee! Room was nice and the microwave and frig help keep my expenses low, because I can eat in my room, instead of going out. Staff was friendly and they cater to construction guys, in town on a job. Ran into some guys that have been there for 2 years! Nice […] place, good price, good staff, secure location! I've been back 3 additional weeks now and it keep getting better. The hotel was pretty quiet and pretty clean, I just didn't like the fact that our microwave was bbroken and never replaced. I also didn't like the fact that every move I made outside of the room was on camera, and the staff made that well known. They made it seem like I wasn't allowed to have visitors in my room. "Econo Lodge, Hesperia, CA: Pleasantly Surprised!"
I was in the Victorville/Apple Valley area for the weekend as a road musician, so I have seen my fair share of motels and hotels over the years. I chose the Econo Lodge since my regular motel of choice was booked up. Based upon the reviews I read, I expected the basics, which would have been fine with me. However, i was pleasantly surprised to find […] that my single king, non-smoking room also included a spacious desk from which to access the free WiFi via laptop, a refrigerator, a microwave, a spacious sink area, hair dryer, coffee maker and (ta-da!) free HBO. Being on the road is often tough, especially when driving long hours and playing late nights, so all of these amenities were greatly appreciated. I know others have complained about noise due to proximity to the freeway, however I regularly sleep with earplugs, so for me it wasn't an issue. During waking hours you might occasionally hear a truck grinding its gears, but that's about it. The room was clean and neat. My only complaints? All 3 pillows were exceedingly firm compared to what I usually sleep on @ home, and traffic on Bear Valley Road can often test your patience . Aside from those things, the front office staff was helpful, polite and jovial, and there was ample parking. If my work takes me to this area again I will gladly re-book here! Les mer

The fridge in our room was so loud that we had to unplug it. Plus, like every other 2 star hotel, sound insulation was poor. Otherwise an ok place to spend a night.

Walking into the room felt more like a 3 star experience rather than a 2, but the only problem was the highway traffic noise. Every car, truck, and bicycle you will hear. Light sleepers beware. Otherwise, well worth the $.

I was looking for an inexpensive place to stay while attending a business meeting. Econo Lodge was located near to freeway and convenient to all services. I thought it would be noisy being so close to the freeway but it did not bother us at all. Staff was friendly when we checked in. The continental breakfast was a bit of a stretch, it would have been […] nice to have had cereal or oatmeal offered but then again it is an inexpensive room and so the amenities are limited. Everything was very good. I felt comfortable and safe and that is important to me when I travel! Th hotl close to eateries and family fun.
"Old and Outdated"
The only reason we were forced to stay at this hotel was due to a snow storm and all rooms at surrounding hotels were sold out. The room was old, outdated and had a bad stench to it.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Even for the price is was NOT worth it. The pillows where hard as a rock. The shower had no or little water pressure. The water just trickled out of the showerhead. Would have been better to bathe in the sink !!!!!.

Not a 5 star resort by any means but it does the job. We stayed there on the way to So Cal. The rooms were a suprise, clean and updated. However, the bed's very very firm. But there are a lot of nearby places to eat and for just a few hour stop it works fine.

The room was clean and well maintained throughout our three dAY stay. No frills, but certainly adequate for sleeping as we were visiting relatives in the area and did not need a pool or restaurant.

We've stayed here twice in the last 2 months when visiting family and overall were pleased with the room for the price. It was clean and we felt safe there, with two small children. The only complaint we have is the double beds are a little small for us. Staff was friendly, even late in the evening when we checked in. We will be back! Thanks!
