Store rene og flotte rom med god temperatur. Døgnåpen informasjonensdesk med veldig god service. God beliggenhet med gåavstand, samt taxi tilgjengelig til enhver tid. Lekker frokostbuffet! Spesielt godt fornøyd med lobby og barområdet hvor vi kunne samles et par timer på kvelden før vi gikk til hvert vårt rom!:):)

Hotellet lå svært sentralt, bare 150 meter fra Sheaperds Bush stasjonen, som ligger på Central line (den røde undergrunnen). Ved stasjonen ligger også Westfield, et stort, nytt handlesenter. Jeg hadde bestillt rom med to enkelsenger og da de ikke hadde det, fikk jeg oppgradering til et rom med kingsize seng. Rommet var stort og flott, nydelige badehåndklær og badekåper.

Vi er meget fornøyde, men synes at hotellrommet var for lite. Vanskelig å få varme på rommet når det var vind og litt kaldt ute. Vi kunne også tenkt oss en liten minibar på rommet. Ellers er alt til å anbefale. Har vært på dette hotellet før, og kommer garantert til å reise tilbake dit. I hvertfall hvis det går an å få til noen av mine ønsker.

Sør for London, ligger Gatwick flyplass med to internasjonale terminaler koblet sammen med en enskinnebane. Togene går ofte og regelmessig fra Gatwick stasjon i Sør-terminalen til sentrale London. Gatwick Express går hvert 15. minutt non-stop til London Victoria. Billigere vanlige rutetog kjører også til Victoria (via Clapham Junction), London Bridge, King’s Cross, Brighton og andre byer i Sør-England. Det går busser til reisemål over hele Storbritannia.

Helt greit å overnatte på,sentralt. Om vi skulle vert mer på hotellet,litt slitt og skeivt. Merket litt alergi pga teppe på gulvene.

"Quick easy simple, but a strange green light"
We stayed here for one night before leaving on an early morning flight. The hotel is clean and modern -- the most important factors for us! We had a room on the ground floor that was specially equipped for wheelchair users(unnecessary for us), so I don't know if all the rooms in the hotel are like this one. The bed was huge clean and comfortable. Oddly, […] there were no lights in three-quarters of the room. The only lights were ceiling lights at the door, and then some tiny reading lamps by the bed, so the room was basically dark. However, when we turned out the light an eerie green lamp illuminated the entire room -- I think this was part of the handicapped service, I don't know, but it would be pretty disturbing if you didn't have eyeshades. The shower was excellent. However, avoid pulling the string outside the bath. Although this looks exactly like the pull for an electric shower, it is in fact the emergency alarm as we found out. This is not labelled as such and must often be confused by guests. Bus to airport was perfect -- every 15 minutes and went straight to Gatwick with no stops. "Greitt transitthotell ved Gatwick"
Dette er et godt alternaitiv til rådyre overnattinger på selve flyplassen. Det nye "boks-hotellet" - Yotel - på Gatwick er et alternaitiv for enkeltreisende , men ikke familier.
Praktisk beliggenhet når man må overnatte mellom flyvninger fra Gatwick. Shuttlebussen går hvert kvarter og koster 3 pund. Men standarden på hotellet var ganske dårlig, og maten var dyr.

helt kurant flyplasshotell. rent, ryddig, fine rom, hyggelig service. stort hotell som er noe upersonlig. veldig fornøyd alt i alt - perfekt for tidlig flight. shuttlebuss som går fra hotellet til flyplassen og tar tre min, går hvert kvarter fra tidlig om morgenen. praktisk!

"Very impersonal hotel and bad parking."
We checked in for one night having been to other Holiday Inns which were fantastic and based on their reputations I chose another Holiday Inn. This was not fantastic but a nightmare with huge amounts of people arriving for checkin at 4 pm for early morning flights out of Gatwick airport. There were only two women on the check-in desk, they had no interest […] in who they were serving, no information about how we got to car rental return and no maps of the surrounding area. The hotel was not well sign posted either. The elevators were tiny necessitating families to take two of them if they had luggage. Our room was cold because the heating was broken and the repair man who was called said he had turned it on but it was indeed broken and we had to change rooms to another cold room because according to them they don't turn on the heat at night time until you get in the room! The bathroom was cold as there was no heat in it not even a heated towel rail. This hotel needs a good upgrade. Car parking is limited at the front with tiny spaces you can barely get in and out of the car door. You have to pay for parking which is 10 English Pounds a night. Once in the car park you have to keep getting a ticket from the lobby to get in and out of the car park making life more difficult if you want to drive out for a meal. You are basically captive there when you park the car. The restaurant is dark and dingy although the food was quite good but expensive. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a quiet night as there were hordes of children there running up and down the corridors generally being children. The buses when they come to the front door to pick up completely block the exit from the car park which necessitates you waiting until they are loaded up and ready to leave which can be 15 minutes or more. Not a good layout for this hotel and it is clear that upgrades not only to the building but to their reception area and staff are needed. Les mer

Staff was helpful. Facility staff noticed my door card did not work, he let me in with his and went downstairs to arranged for a workable card for me. In the mean time I requested to change room for purpose of internet connection via dongle. My stay was quite enjoyable. The staff including the domestics were lovely, very professional. I totally enjoyed the breakfast in the restaurant.........very pleased. I will definitely reconmmed it.
Hotel was nice, clean and check-in went smoothly. We didn't eat breakfast since our flight left so early, but we ate dinner. My food, something oriental, was good, my spouse choose something local and was dissapointed. We used the shuttle bus in and out of the hotel. It was guite fast and fairly inexpensive. As always I had an enjoyable stay. The reception was very kind to let me have a family room becase my booking did not guarantee a double bed despite i reqested via hotel.com. The reception was also very accommodating when I ask to change room with a better internet signal. Good service as always.

Checkin was very quick and the receptionist was accommodation - changed a twin room to a family room which have a double bed. I have stayed in this hotel many times and am happy with the location, condition and comfort of the hotel. I can recommend to anybody.
This was a great experience and the staff at the front desk went way beyond the bar ! Helping us with directions to a place in London printed the directions off for us as well as checking in for our flight back to the states . Definitely will rebook here because of the location and all the other and customer service !

Very disappointed with this hotel. We were looking for a comfortable hotel close to Gatwick where we could check in after a late flight and sleep well. I was suffering from a virus when we arrived so was horrified to find that the room was an icy 18 degrees ( with the air con on) and that the heating was broken. The staff were helpful and brought extra […] blankets but it was not what we were expecting. The room apart from the icy temperature ( this was November in London!) was fine but the corridors and general surroundings were drab and below standard. I will not be staying in this hotel again. "Over priced, and unhelpful staff"
There was not one particular event that I can point to and say "The problem was....". It was just a general feeling that they were simply out to fleece the customers, and not offer any service. The food and drinks were absorbitantly priced, and the bar man spent most of his time trying to "up sell" in such an obvious manner that I expected him to be […] on commission. The rooms were tidy, but not of the standard you would usually expect from a Holiday Inn. In fact it simply felt that as Gatwick is seen as the second airport for London, Holiday Inn needed only to offer a second class level of service. There are other options for accommodation at Gatwick, and I would recommend researching these before pressing the “Book Now” button. Les mer

I chose this Hotel because they stated they had shuttle service. i arrived at Gatwick airport and found where the hotels pick up their guest. I called the holiday Inn and was told that this was only a 4 min walk from the south terminal. I had several peices of luggagem my wife and her 80 year old mother in tow. We walked for 10 min and did not see the […] hotel. I used my iphone gps and found i was still more than a kilometer away and there was no sidewalk. I ended up calling a cab. No one at the hotel would take responsibility for telling me to just walk. The next mourning they did have a shuttle but it will cost you 6 dollars each. In all of my travels I have never had to pay for a shuttle service at an airport hotel. This is not even close to a 4 star hotel. Well maybe in a 3rd world country. the rooms are showing age and this hotel needs major renovating. Staff are liars and not helpful they put me and my family at risk by suggesting we walk on dark street with no side walk. Les mer
"Not fully wheelchair accessible"
We booked a wheelchair accessible room which it nearly was. Unfortunately the shower was over the bath which is not accessible. The bathroom is huge so they could have easily put a wetroom. Luckily this didn't matter as we only stayed for one night before a flight. Ideal location about 10 mins from Gatwick airport.

Good hotel, nice staff, good food and comfortable rooms. Fairly close to airport, 5 mins bus ride. No other restaurants or shops close to hotel so have to use theirs, which are good but perhaps a wee bit pricey. Had to pay for wifi also - 16 pound for 24 hours. Overall reasonably happy with hotel, would probably stay again.

I have stayed many times at the Holiday Inn. The reception staff have been very helpful and pleasant especially by now they recognise I have stayed with them a few times. Everything is perfect except I do not think they should impose £10 car parking charge if guests were only staying for one night.

Quite convenient from the railway station but there was a bus laid on to take passengers to the terminals the following day. Unfortunately we had to get to the north terminal so the bus went first to south terminal. That was alright but it then picked up passengers who had just arrived to take them on to the hotel. "A safe haven after craziness at Gatwick"
We were stranded at Gatwick after the craziness with the flooded out at Gatwick Express which caused us to miss our flight--and the Holiday Inn was a godsend! Very comfortable, more so than the hotel we had stayed at in London for almost twice the price, and perfecly located so that we could be well on time for our flight out the following day.
Very nice place, just make sure you get a room with a shower - we did not, and let's just say I'm not a fan of sitting in a pool of dirty water.

Great one-night stay while flying into/out of Gatwick. Just beware that the shuttle to/from the airport is not cheap at 3 pounds each way, per person. Several have already mentioned this and we were prepared, I just wouldn't want anyone to be surprised by it.
