The hotel was perfectly fine, comfortable, nice lounge, clean room. Room service was moderate and the parking garage was simply a disaster. I know it's an old building, but car renters need to be careful. The spaces are not meant to park 3 cars.

I was staying in Rochester to visit friends for a bachelorette party. The room was clean but smelled like smoke as they were in transition to a completely smoke free hotel and were cleaning the hotel the next day. You pay for parking but the best part is that they offer free shuttle service to anywhere in the city and will come pick you up too very […] convenient. Excellent service, extremely polite. "Relocated"
They overbooked our hotel and we had to travel over 20 minutes to a different hotel, just to repack and go back to the hotel the next day. Check in the next day was very long, and rooms were not ready when they were exprected to be. Was an inconvenience but they did refund us our night's stay which was nice. Very nice hotel. Clean, affordable, easy parking and they may well have the most awesome staff in the business. They are extremely helpful and polite. You feel like they take alot of personal pride in guest satisfaction'

My stay was very good here the rooms are spacious the service was very good, everyone knew their jobs wel would love to stay again, breakfast was a little on the off side but overall it,s a wonderful place to stay....

"Great Hotel, shady neighborhood...."
It has been a few years since I visited Rochester and unfortunately the location where the hotel is at has turned into a shady and frankly scary place. The hotel itself is great; clean, super friendly staff and comfortable. But this was the first time I see warning signs behind a hotel room door stating 10 thing NOT to do when you stay there. Such as […] not opening the door for anyone before calling the front desk and looking around when you arrive at night......needless to say I was paranoid for the rest of my trip. As I said, the hotel is not the problem, but Rochester itself. To be honest, I think its the last time I go there as it turned out to be more stressful experience than the relaxing weekend I had envisioned. Les mer

Room was not cleaned even after making front desk aware of problem. Did not feel safe walking to / from hotel in the evening - in front of hotel seemed to be gathering place for homeless and criminal activity. Hotel decor was dated and worn - in need of update. Room was comfortable, but poorly maintained. As stated room was not cleaned 1 day of my […] stay and front desk was notified. They stated they would send someone right up - never showed. During checkout - front desk staff was rude and less than helpful. Legends Bar / Rest. was decent - good food and service. I think hotel is far overrated. I have stayed in nicer "sleep cheaps" that were rated 2 stars. A short drive to downtown Rochester far outweighs the convenience of staying in this overrated hotel downtown. Les mer

Conveniently located, Blue Cross Arena was in walking distance. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only thing that I didn;t like was waiting and waiting for an elevator; otherwise a very good experience.

Stay was okay, but hard to believe the room had no refrigerator and the ice machine on floor 10 is broken. Vending machine charges $2.25 for a water, but do not put $3.00 in, no change.......

The hotel was located centrally downtown and the room was excellent , bed comfortable. the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was in the hotel was sufficient but not elaborate. The menu was basic with a limited buffet breakfast.. If you want downtown hotel with all the amenities I recoommend it.

Good location, nice size rooms with a nice view. Newly remodeled with sleep number beds in some rooms, the sleep number bed was nice, it allowed my wife to stay on her side of the bed.

VERY convenient accessibility to major highways. Clean accomodations and a hotel staff is that is extremely professional and does everything to ensure the guests are taken care of. "Raddison Riverside Rochester was Fantastic!"
We stayed here for 2 nights and it was FANTASTIC! We were traveling with our 2 young kids (4yrs and 17mnth) The staff was amazing, especially Dan and Hannah. Very clean, spacious, and well laid out room, with room for our double stroller and 2 suitcases in the room. However the neighbourhood is a business area and seemed very deserted with some questionable […] people hanging around at night. That being said, we would definately stay again because of the staff and the actual hotel. It's close to everything from the museums (Strong, National Museum of Play|) to great food (Dinosaur BBQ) and terrific shopping (Marketplace mall). We'll be back next year for sure! Les mer
"Aging hotel that needs some updating"
While our stay at the Radisson Rochester was ok....it was not the nicest place to stay. I would say that an overhaul of the hotel would help business a great deal. The place is dated...the rooms are relatively clean, but with everything being dated, they appear unclean. The bathroom! First, the bathtub was clean, but looked stained and dirty. The toilet, […] the same. The sink was clean, but you have to be at least 6' tall to easily use the sink. I am only 5'1" and had to stand on my toes to brush my teeth. I would not stay here again. Good location if you want to be in the center. The hotel has been spruced up since it was the Clarion, but it is still a bit dated. I would recommend it to others and would stay again in the future.

"Rochester Raddison"
Stayed here for a couple of nights while traveling back home to the midwest. I was traveling with 2 small children(ages 6 and 8) and myself. We checked in and headed to the children's museum in town. The person at the front desk could not give me directions (It was walking distance). So I proceeded to go back upstairs and get directions from a website […] online. The walk to the museum was clean yet filled with people asking for handouts. That evening when I was getting the kids in bed I noticed chunks of something on the walls (food?? I hope) by this point in the evening having someone come in to clean or changing rooms was not a good option for us. That night, the toilet continued to cycle water. The next morning, the rooms coffee service did not have any regular coffee to offer, just decaf. Maid service was not in the hall that morning to request more. I realize that most all of these items could be remedied with a phone call to the front desk, but when I am traveling with young children, I need things to be correct the first time. On top of this there was not a pen in the room to use and the parking garage was very difficult to manuver my vehicle(a small suv). Les mer

"Great experience from all the Staff"
The guy at the reception desk performed his duties perfectly. I was checking in 11 people for 5 rooms. He did so very efficiently and promptly. He asked me about our reason for being there and when he heard my explanation, he engaged in conversation about our purpose like he actually was interested. He hi-lighted our destination on a local map and explained […] how to get there. The hotel service staff also assisted us in storing 11 bicycles in their "lock-up" area. That was very convenient and also left us feeling very secure that nothing would happen to them. The service staff at the Legend's Restaurant were very friendly and welcoming. The two people on duty were funny and very informative. They brought information about the Jazz festival that was in town right to our table and drew the directions on where the sites were and where the different stages were set up. They also made sure we had everything we needed and then some. A great experience! Well done Radisson Riverside Rochester! Les mer
"Would stay there again"
I was in Rochester on business and found this hotel quite convenient. There was a decent bar downstairs for relaxing. The rooms are clean, but the hotel is somewhat outdated (so are all of the others in the area). I would strongly suggest NOT getting on a smoking floor. They are VERY smoky.

The hotel charged a daily parking charge for Hotel Parking which was not specified at the time of booking. The Room Service kept expired Coffee Creamers in the room. This was the worst Hotel Stay experience I had and would not recommeded this Hotel at all. I had expected much better Customer Service experience from Radisson.
"Radisson Riverside Rochester - not worth it"
This is what I liked: the view from the room on the riverside was spectacular, the beds are sleep number beds and are pretty cozy, the staff was friendly (though cluesless) and tried to be helpful, and the attached restaurant had a nice breakfast buffet. This is what I was so disappointed with: the staff seemed very unknowledgeable of the surrounding […] area and major events going on, there were no brochures to be found, the surrounding area away from the hotel was pretty intimidating (lots of riff raff) and parking was not free and was very scarce. We decided to walk to certain area venues so that we would not lose our parking place and only got a couple of blocks when we realized that it was not a good idea. The hotel informed us we could take a shuttle, but the wait would have been more than an hour. When we decided to stay in and watch a movie, we discovered that our remote would not work with the box for the rentals and had to wait over an hour for the maintenance man to come and fix it. Also, the bathroom was not adequately supplied. To top things off, when we came across a man who was in medical distress (he could not walk) we asked some other guests to get help and the only one who came was a very nervous bellboy, who when asked to bring a wheelchair and get some more help, was tyring to drag a recliner from the front desk while the front desk clerks just looked on. It was a good thing that the man turned out to be ok. Needless to say, that will be my last visit to this hotel. Les mer
"Not pleased"
I was not pleased with my stay at this hotel. The price was 2 to 3 times more than I pay for room when I go to Las Vegas. The beds were the hardest most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in. The only thing I liked was how close it was to our destination but the neighborhood was a little sketchy.

Stayed there for one night to see a concert at the Water St. Music Hall. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Nice linens and pillows. Staff was super friendly and helpfull!

Front Desk Staff was very helpful and courteous, room was average, from my experience. however, I was out performing the night before and didnt make it back to my room until later on in the night / early morning. My checkout time on my reservation was 12:00, to which i confirmed with the front desk. I was not however given a do no disturb sign and was […] woken up repeatedly on the hour, starting at 7:00 am, then 8:00, 9:00, 9:30 and so on...by that time, I was frustrated with lack of sleep and just left early. I even told her to wait the first time until I checked out...apparently she didn't listen. This point, and this point alone, made my stay exceptionally bad. I would not recommend this again, and when i complained about this to the front desk in the morning, all i was offered was a free coffee to wake up. Poor service...I had to bus to canada that morning as well, so all and all, that one maid ruined my entire day...They really have no right or justification to clean prior to checkout, unless expressly asked to do so. Overall a good hotel. Staff all very nice and accomodating even offering a later check out without my asking. Shuttle for local (to U of Rochester, for example) trips a great convenience. The best thing....Speakman shower head!! great shower. Kinda disappointed they didn't have a continental breakfast most hotels of that quality offer that standard.
