Snakk om å ha funnet hotellet med rett atmosfære, trivelig personale og bra beliggenhet. Det første som møtte oss d vi kom inn porten på Casa Madeleine var en idyllisk forgård med resepsjon, blomster, møbler og en latinamerikansk atmosfære a la Zorrofilmene. Rommet var greit og rent, sengene var gode - sengetøyet likeså. Badet var litt lite, men rent og alt fungerte. Det ble servert en god gratis frokost ( fra meny), denne kunne vi innta på patioen eller inne i spisestua. Den lille hagen var fortryllende vakker og det var også greit å sole seg. Spa kunne enkelt bestilles i resepsjonen, rimelige priser og flinke damer. Det var deilig med jazzuzi i hagen. Casa Madeleine lå et lite stykke fra sentrum, men det gjorde ingenting, for det var så mye å se på veien inn dit. Husk bare å ha gode sko, for steinlegginga i gatene er slitsom å gå på. Neste gang vi reiser til Antigua, er det helt klart at vi på nytt vil ta inn på Casa Madeleine.

"A safe comfortable place to stay"
This is the only place I've stayed at in Guatemala City, but I found it to be a very nice place to stay. It has a busy 1st floor bar that has great bartenders, a wonderful pool area and a woodfired oven restaurant that serves pizza in addition to an Asian restaurant that I didn't have the opportunity to experience. "Great hotel option"
Great hotel experience for the last night of our trip. We wanted to be close to the airport for our early-morning flight,and since we have a 5-year old, we wanted a hotel with a pool. Their pools are in indoors, which is great, the restaurant was delicious and reasonably-priced, and the service was not only excellent, but personable too.

We stayed at this hotel twice. The first time was great. The second time they were 1/2 hour late picking us up from the airport. I found another hotel shuttle person who made the phone call for me. It was late when we got to our rooms; which were rooms that a cigar smoker had been.(we had two rooms) We asked to change rooms. That took a bit of time […] and we finally got to our rooms after 11 p.m. We were moved from a king room to 2 double beds in both rooms. when i booked this hotel i payed for 5 breakfast its suposed to be included but they gave just 2 and the other 3 was for 60.00 each so i was sad cause was a gift for my family and they have to spend anyway

There's not very much that is charming about Guatemala City, but this hotel is probably one of the nicest you will find. It's modern and attached to a conference/convention center and a rather underwhelming mall. My room was a corner room that was really large (was I upgraded?). "Great Service"
Hotel allowed for an early check-in because the room was ready, I appreciated this very much. The hotel was beautiful and the room was extremely clean, bathroom was a nice. 4 malls within a 2 minute walk, this was an extra treat. Thanks Grand Tikal Futura
"Needs Updating"
The hotel is very beautiful. However, our stay started with an AC that did not cool. Maintenance was called and it never got much cooler. It continued with the key pad not working every single time that we would try to use it. After 3 days of visits to the lobby for a new card and a visit from maintenance, I asked for 3 replacement cards so that we […] always had three to try before going back to the lobby. The stay continued with a blow dryer that did not work. After calling maintenance again for the third time, they took over thirty minutes to simply replace it. With wet hair full of gel, I was definitely not a happy customer. The beds and the linens were very worn out. And there was no coffee pot in the room. Overall, the hotel felt more like a two star. Also, I did not feel safe at all because everyone had full access to the floors were the rooms were. Again it's a shame because it is centrally located and it has beautiful views. Les mer
"Amazing pool, comfortable bed, great service!"
After a month of volunteer work, I treated myself to a two-night stay at Grand Tikal Futura before flying out of Guatemala City. I'm so glad I did. The bed was so comfortable, the shower was terrific, and I spent a lot of time in the beautiful pool and jacuzzi. I did not walk around the neighborhood at all, except for walking out during the day to Miraflores […] Mall to shop at Zara. Taking a cab to Zona Viva was easy. The service here is wonderful: the bellmen and the check-in people were very friendly, and spoke great English. Plus, using Hotels.com I got a cheaper rate than on the Grand Tikal website, AND I got an upgraded room! Thanks so much, Grand Tikal Futura! Les mer

For a number of years I had been staying at this hotel a number of times. Unfortunately, I have been able to notice a slow degradation of most hotel services. From the room cleanliness to the Wireless to the TV service. Intermittent and poor.

Although not located at the heart of Zona Viva, the Gran Tikal Futura is conveniently located adjacent to several shopping malls with cheap food courts! The airport is close by and the hotel offers a free, high-quality shuttle (no set schedule, call them to be picked up!). I took their breakfast buffet and I thought very highly of it; great variety, […] Guatemalan and International choices. Room was very comfortable, good desk to work, no wi-fi but internet by cable, very very fast! Frontdesk personnel very friendly and helpful got me a taxi in no time. Oh, and the hotel is quite beautiful and modern. So, why better than other high-end hotels in Guatemala City? Because of the price hotels.com offered! Les mer
"Appalling service. Noisy at night. Poisonous food"
On the face of it thisshould be a decent hotel, however we had a number of issues from grumpy and unhelpful staff, to food being providied for our baby that was a week out of date, off milk in the King Suite fride, no bottled water in the fridge, no food on the buffet, the suites being lcoated by teh lifts and being woken up all night by party going […] guests. the customer experience was appalling, no-one opened doors to help us when we were pushing a pushchair. it goes on. There are other better hotels in Guatemala City (Radisson, Vista Real) stay tehre instead. These guys are focussed on costs not the guests. Les mer
"Grand Tikal Futura in Guatemala for food and fun"
This was our first stay and we found the rooms pleasant, comfortable and clean. I did run out of hot water one morning, but it was only temporary. Our room had no tub, in case that is impt for little ones. My husband and I appreciated the extra benefits of the concierge floor, with unlimited access to soft drinks and coffee, snacks and magazines and […] free wifi. The food at La Molienda was great-best we've had in 10 trips! Indoor pool facility is good for rainy weather. The easy access to the shopping mall offered alternatives for fast food when desired ,and safe distraction for families, with shopping, arcades, bowling and movies. Shuttle service to and from airport timely and reliable, which differs from some other local hotels. Will definitely recommend to others! Les mer

"bad hotel"
this is my first and last staying at this hotel, first when i arrived to the hotel the front desk person was very rude , he didn't even ask me if i need help with my luggage. i took i myself to the nineth floor were i stay. when i ask for a refrigerator same front desk person said to me no to ask because he didnt recommend me to ask for one. and then […] he told me that i had to leave my credit card in order to use the refrigerator that was in the room because they keep it lock!! shower leak on the floor everytime i shower even with the door close, the door to the restroom didnt close all the way. the only good thing that i got from this place was the housekeeping service, they clean my room every day and the service and attention that i got from a nice young lady in the service area of the royale floor every morning that i got breakfast. I really wont recommend this hotel to anybody!! Im from Guatemala but i didnt good at this hotel by any means. Even my 7 years old daughter didnt feel well treated at this hotel, i want her to know about the hospitality and good treatment that guatemalan people have, but unfortunaly we didnt get it a this hotel Les mer

"BAD, BAD Service !!!"
It can be very nice Hotel but service is so bad. Didn't get room with 2 beds, they refuse my free breakfast and reservation manager was not able to make decision about it till my stay was over (5 days)!!! Rooms are very clean and nice but gym has very old, rusty equipment. Nice pool and spa area. Bad experience. :o(

Nice,good looking hotel in very good location but...... a lot of little bad things. Very incopetent stuff on front desk and reservation management. We didn't get 2 beds room I asked for :( , after 2 days of stay they refuse my free breakfast and didn't care it was in my reservation made by hotels.com and after calls from costumer service of hotels.com […] reservation manager was not able to make decision about breakfast from thursday till monday so we had to get breakfast at mall next door. Overall is a good hotel for the price I paid. They need some small improvement, I recommend take your personal towel with you, they towel is clean but the fabric scratch your body, the robe too. Don't even think to take them they are not wort it.

This was my 6th stay at the Grand Tikal and it will be my first choice for my next trip to Guatemala city. Not only is the hotel staff friendly, the food is good, but the attached mall is nice and the neighborhood around the hotel has everything you could need. THE GRAND TIKAL WAS VERY CLEAN. THE GYM WAS VERY NICE. THE BELL STAFF ARE VERY PERSONABLE AND WELCOMING. I BECAME TO KNOW A FEW OF THEM VERY WELL. THE MALL IS SAFE AND CONVENIENT EVEN FOR A FEMALE TRAVELING BY THEMSELVES. I WOULD DEFINATELY STAY AGAIN.
