The staff was friendly and professional. The hotel was kinda dated. Loose tile in the bathroom.

We stayed here as an overnight stop on our way from Vermont to Pennsylvania. It was a great hotel, very comfortable. We had a 4 year old and an 18 month old and the accomidations were great for them as well. The only criticism I would have was that the breakfast in the morning was severely lacking. The service was great. We needed a microwave oven to heat up the meal for my son (with disabilites). The hotel restaurant didn't have it. The hotel staff made an arrangement to bring a microwave oven to our room for use. We were very impressed with their genuine and extra service. We really appreciate it. Very clean and comfortable. The prize was reasonable and the complimentary breakfast was great and surprising..

Very nice hotel. Front desk was welcoming and helpful with directions, suggestions etc. Breakfast is not great but it's included. There is a Tim Hortons right next door. Hotel is quiet and clean. This was our second visit and we will go back.

We had an overall good stay at this hotel. The Queen bed was comfortable, but we had actually booked a room with 2 Queen beds and were very disappointed on arrival to be told the second queen was a pull-out sofa....not comfortable. the hotel was nice on the outside, had everything we wanted but they told us by booking online we were not guaranteed the room we wanted. Also, the bathroom needs to be updated, moldy grout and old sinks. Over all, it was fine for a short stay

Found this hotel online but knew about it from family who live in the area. The pictures online are spectacular but the rooms are not like what is pictured. The room was nice, clean. The furniture is newer styled. Actually loved the headboard, dresser, and nightstand and would put it in my own bedroom (trying to track down a similar style!) The bed […] was SUPER comfortable. Has a memory foam type mattress on it. Air temperature was just right, AC turned on and had the room comfortable for our arrival (85 degrees that day.) The bathroom needs some improvement. Tile on the floor and tub is OLD. Grout is discolored. Regrouting or a bleach cleaning would be a BIG improvement. New light fixture and faucet added to try and modernize but you could tell the old from the new. Tub had some kind of mat adhered to the bottom that was scratched in places and kind of discolored. At first it looked like the tub was dirty until I realized what it was. Also, the register under the sink was discolored (old off white paint) and had rust spots all over it. Simply repaint would have helped ALOT. I know this is cosmetic, but when looking for cleanliness in a public place, you see these things. Complimentary continental breakfast was okay, could have been a little better. I know it's free, but offerings were one flavor of muffin, one flavor of bagel, two flavors of danish, four varieties of cereal, one flavor of yogurt, orange juice, coffee, water, oranges, bananas, and make your own waffles. The kids ate cereal. They wanted toast but no bread offered. I think the addition of bread could have been offered (the toaster was already there for the bagels.) What was offered was very skimpy (i.e. the muffins were mini and only a handful out at a time, danish only about 12 at a time, six bananas, four oranges, etc.) and the dining room was full that morning. We stayed for the first time at Brookwood for two days. The hotel has an ideal location. Two minutes to the canal so you can enjoy long walks and close to everything in Rocheaster. The Eastview Mall is very close and the Town of Pittsford has great little shops. The hotel has a well equipped gym, a pool and hot tub. It also has a great bar and wonderful […] restaurant. The food is fantastic. The hotel provides a free breakfast in the morning. The rooms are large and well appointed. It could use a little updating in the bathrooms. Great place to stay! Staff made us feel very comfortable - even recommended some great place to eat, as we had never been in that area before. Pool and exercise room were good - and loved the breakfast spread!

Road/driveway into Inn needs paving. Hotel needs a little updating but wonderful overall. Had a pleasant swim in the pool. I do recommend the place if your business/trip is in Pittsford, NY.

A very good hotel at a very good price. I'm a five star hotel kind of girl but only needed a room for overnight and didn't want to pay $200 for a place to sleep. Brookwood Inn exceeded my expectations and I'll definitely stay there again even if I'm doing more than an overnighter! Great chocolate martinis too!

The overall appearance of the room, e.g., carpet, comforters, furniture, bathroom is a bit worn and old-looking. A professional cleaning of the carpet would be a good start to improving the appearance of the room. However, the morning breakfast was very good.

this hotel is just off 490 but seems very rural and quiet. easy access to Rochester and the nice towns nearby (Pittsford, Victor) where we had a fantastic dinner at MONROE 3001. Very reasonable rate. Excellent breakfast buffet -- lots to choose from. The only negative was that the room did not have a mini fridge. Definitely would stay here again.

First of all we were graciously accommodated to check into our 2 rooms early, for we were traveling from out of state, and had to change for a graduation at 3pm. That was great! Unfortunately, our rooms were on the "T" level...basement? or did it stand for "tunnel". Quite dark, dreary and a little musty. The next morning's nice, full continental breakfast […] (w/ sandwiches, waffles, fruit, bagles, etc) started at 8:00 am, and that was a bit too late for us, as we had to leave at 8:10. Would have been much better w/ an earlier start. One more thing...would have loved a USA Today, or actually any newspaper to read, esp. in the lobby. There was none to be found. Les mer

Pillows were nothing more than a napkin. No extra toilet paper. Food okay but horrible service, it took us over an hour to get our food which was wings and a sandwich. Rooms were hot, bed was very uncomfortable. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Very over priced for what we got.

very nice hotel great deal on hotels.com. Poll and hot tub temperature wasnt too warm but other than that a great stay!

We were nervous using hotels.com b/c never used them before. However, they had the best price so opted for this route and was quite pleased. We frequently go to Pittsford to see our son in college and are so pleased with The Brookwood Inn. It's clean, good location and the staff is very nice.

Drove 35 minutes for a swimming spring break getaway. Spent 3 hours in the pool and ordered pizza too. The kids had a great time. The hotel was clean and the staff was wonderful!

Amazing food, great hotel and wonderful price. Everytime I travel back I will stay at this hotel!

Our stay was most enjoyable. Housekeeping was fine, except that they forgot to leave toilet paper on one visit. (One roll for two people for 4 days didn't quite cut it.)

Everything is great at this hotel. Breakfast needs updating.

Aside from the highway noise, the room was good.

My family enjoyed our stay here. The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was good, and my daughter loved swimming in the pool and trying out the fitness center. My only complaint was that our bathroom grout was old and a little mildewy looking. I asked them if they could take care of it and they sent housekeeping up right away.

Upon checkin the staff was very friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was very good. It was a signature steak place so one expected the food to be good and it did not disappoint. The location was riht off the interstate and the surrounding neighbor hood was upscale. There many other eaterys and a large mall just 4 miles down the road.

Everything was good - but they need to replace the coffee making in rm 111.

The Brookwood Inn is a very nice hotel located about ten minutes south of Pittsford, NY. The rooms are large and attractive, the pool is almost big enough to swim laps, the hot tub is reasonably hot, and the breakfast offers a nice variety, including make-your-own waffles. It's hard to find any basis for complaint!

We met the owners of the hotel while having drinks and horsderves in their lovely restaurant. Wonderful people. Also, loved the continental breakfast the next morning. Absolutely wonderful and just what we needed before we headed to the airport.

This is my every first web review. After six hours driving from New Jersey to Rochester, all we wanted was a clean room to rest. The first room we checked-in had dirty wet towels lied on the chair and in the closet. The garbage can was full. My husband called front desk and we then moved to another room. I was very surprised by this incident since the […] reviews on this hotel were all positive. How a not-yet-cleaned room is ready for check-in? The mattress is so soft. It barely has any back support. Even my daughter (a 15-yr old) companied how uncomfortable the bed was. The shower head has a very little pressure. My $15 home-depot shower head is much better what this hotel has. The size of room was good though. Overall, I will not going back to this hotel or recommend this to others. Les mer

Everything was ok at this hotel. Only thing I would say is that the bathroom looks like it could use a renovation, and the phone didn't work in our room.

This hotel was very nice for the minimal rate we paid through hotels.com. The only complaint I had was the the television remote control in the room SUCKED!!! It was super slow and often didn't respond when buttons were pushed. I told the front desk in case it just needed batteries and their response was, "Oh they're all like that." Nice Hotel. Quiet, well placed for businessmen working in one of the nearby corporate parks. But when we, 8 of us, came back one night after dinner at 9:30, the door to the restaurant/bar was closed!!!! They had told us it would be open until 11. Sorry if business is bad, but maybe it's that the door is locked!

Hotel staff is top-notch. Bathroom decor is interesting as you can easily distinguish what they've recently upgraded & what they didn't (old tile floor, beautiful new fixtures, etc.). Room was clean. We left a cell phone charger in the room at checkout but the hotel staff located it and promptly called us back to make arrangements for it's pickup. If you are a runner or cyclist, this hotel is a great place to stay due to it's proximity to the Erie Canal path, a dirt/gravel path along the canal.
