Veldig bra hotell. Madrassen på min side av dobbeltsenga kunne vært bedre. Kaffen i stua kunne vært varmere ut på kvelden

Had a very nice stay at Hotel Elysee. Reception personell were very professional and due to the fact that it was very well manned at all times, you got instant help. Checkout for example was done in 2 minutes as everything was prepared when we got there. Nice and clean rooms. The breakfast was a bit boring (but still, it was included and in nice setttings) […] and the aircondition was a little bit loud, but everything else was simply great! Recommended for shoppers!!!!!! This European-style hotel ticked all the boxes for us. Its location was central and its decor gracious and charming. I'd probably walked by this hotel 100 times in the years I lived and worked nearby, but I had never know a single thing about it. Turns out it's a quiet throwback, a calm and restful sanctuary, literally just steps from some of the busiest sidewalks and streets of New York. I found my room comfortable, quiet, well appointed. The Hotel Elysee is a very traditional type of hotel in that the hotel has that French flair and romantic touch that my wife loved. We had a JR Suite and the room was spacious. With a spacious room it feels a little like home since there is a sofa and two TV's. You can relax. The room was very clean and my wife got some valuable rest. There was no noise […] at all. A superb location just off Madison and 5th Avenue right near the shops! We found the staff to be very friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. Rooms are kept clean, the bathrooms are classical marble and the beds are so comfy with high quality linen and lots of different pillows. Breakfast is help yourself continental, with a good choice with staff […] on hand to toast bagels etc. Coffee, tea, iced water and biscuits are available all day. In the evening there is wine, cheese and nibbles,... all of these are complimentary! We stayed in a room at the back which didn't have a view, but was really quiet at night. I would highly recommend this hotel, and will make it my first choice if I go back to New York. Les mer

Very pleasant and helpful staff; quiet room, great location, good value. Cramped bathroom, leaky windows, substandard elevator service, light door security (no peephole or lock that allows the door to be partially opened)

I found this terrific hotel by doing a hotels.com search by location and price. I was skeptical that a $240 room in Midtown could be any good. This is my new best hotel for Midtown! Great people, decent rooms, well located, and included a real breakfast.The lounge was homey and well appointed. We totally enjoyed the experience. Staff was extraordinary in their service. Continental breakfast was great. Only complaint was there were no conveniently located electrical outlets in the room. Had to plug in phone to recharge in the bathroom.

This is a nice European style hotel well located in Midtown. The service was very good - helpful an pleasant concierege. The breakfast and cocktail hour area being included is a big plus!

One of the BEST hotel stays I have had in a long time. The staff are fabulously attentive and friendly without being too overwhelming. My room was quite spacious and very lovely. You can tell that a fairly long time ago the rooms were incredibly lush, and instead of being redecorated they have been allowed to fade a little with time. The result is EXTREMELY […] charming. Very impressed with this Hotel as I didn't know what to expect. Main reason for staying initially was lack of bed bug reports and fair pricing on our overnight stay. The guys at the desk were pleasant and helpful with a good sense of humor and didn't give off the frat house vibe I was half expecting as I approached them. Rooms were better than expected […] however some of the bathroom grout and fixtures need some help. Continental breakfast was THE best I've ever experienced hands down. This place has the New York charm without the bedbugs. I'd much rather stay at a place like this over the boring Hilton's and Sheraton's any day. Very friendly and helpful staff!!! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff! The gentlemen on the desk answered questions, explained the subway routes and assisted us throughout our stay! The rooms were spotless and the beds made and clean towels everyday! The hotel was warm and clean and full of happy people! A lovely stay!

Has a quiet, old-world feel to it. The staff was helpful in every respect. The rooms are a bit small as one would expect in an older building, but they were clean and nicely decorated. Every afternoon, they served something akin to a "tea" for the guests...a very nice touch.

I was very impressed with this hotel. All the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The complimentary breakfast and evening cheese and wine were very good, also it was great to get water and hot drinks at any time. Having access to a pc and printer was a nice touch, it meant we could do online check in and print boarding passes […] for our flight home. Our room was a good size although the bathroom was rather small. We were on the 7th floor facing the street which was a little noisy at night especially when passing trucks sounded their horn. We arrived just in time for hurricane Sandy, but staff ensured that there was minimum disruption inside the hotel. We stayed in a Kiing Suite which was spacious and comfortable. I loved staying at this great hotel. My overall experience was terrific, and the staff was really nice. My only tiny suggestion is that they make it easier to plug chargers into outlets (which are all on the floor behind furniture).

A wonderful peaceful hotel in midtown. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor and rooms are cosily old-fashioned. Of course there are never enough outlets for phones, computers etc, but that's sadly still the case in most hotels. In the afternoon they put out wine and cheese in the lounge area. Wonderful! And this is also where […] they put out the breakfast (included!) in the morning. It's a wonderful atmosphere and really makes the hotel home in this very busy city. Would always come back to the Elysee! Location is great - walk to Fifth Avenue, Grand Central Terminal, Central Park . . . what else can you wish for? Les mer

This hotel is well position in the middle of two busy avenues 5th and Madison. A gem of tranquility in an urban sea . Walking distance to Central Park and other interesting spots in NYC. $7 cab ride to any museum on uptown if you get tired. Hotel offers a healthy breakfast of fresh fruit bagels and yogurt. Walk around the corner on Madison to cafe Europa […] for more breakfast and sandwich choices. Many small venues restaurants on 5th Avenue surprisingly inexpensive for this part of town. Unique rooms! and a bit bigger than average NY standard I stayed on the 6th floor Queen Suite high enough to be spare from street noise. Internet connection was ok. If you want to stay away from impersonal, monotonous looking, crowded places Hotel Élysée is your place! Les mer

It really had a very homelike quality which I really enjoyed. Even though it might not be the fanciest in terms of linens, bath fixtures etc., the hotel had everything we needed and everything was very well kept. The staff was invariably warm and friendly. For the price and location, I think this hotel is great.

the only negatives were that the bathroom soaps were never replaced until we asked. It used to be that two fresh bars were supplied daily. Also, the toilet paper was clearly cheaper, not plush, but something I would not expect in a quality hotel.

This is our hotel of preference when we are in NYC. Small but modern and a delightful second floor breakfast/coffee room. Great location, helpful staff, comfortable rooms. A very very good value.

Excellent hotel; great value for the location and quality. As a frequent business traveler I was quite surprised at how nice this hotel was. It would be great for business (quiet rooms), a romantic stay or a shopping visit to NYC. Service was fabulous! I will definitely stay here on my next visit to NYC.

I am a frequent visitor to Manhattan. This hotel is perfect for me in every way. It is very well located, small, quiet and elegant. Everything is clean and in good working condition. The included breakfast service is in a nice, sunny, well furnished area that is quiet and homey.
