"Caribou Lodge Banff"
Don't stay in this hotel in summertime - there is no air conditioning in the rooms. Other than that, everything was quite good except for a broken alarm clock that went off at 3:11am every day despite the fact the alarm was turned off.

Very nice stay. Comfortable clean rooms. My only complaint is that you only get a bath robe if you stay in their suites. You don't have to pay prime rate in other hotels to get a bathrobe.
Our stay at the Caribou Lodge was very pleasant. Friendly service, clean room and very comfortable. Great location and easy access to travel by bus. We enjoyed the hot pool after a long day. We would definitely recomend this hotel.

Gorgeous rooms, modern furniture and a big, flat screen tv! It was perfect! I was very comfortable and would definitely recommend it to others. Also, the Keg restaurant downstairs is so convenient and meals were fabulous! :)

"Banff Caribou Lodge - great place to stay."
Warm and inviting atmosphere. Perfect decor for Banff. Had a great meal at the Keg located in the hotel. Would definitely return to this hotel.

Nice efficient design. Recent renovation. Parking spots small and hard to manuever in lot. Bed sheets not fitted and tend to come undone at night. Need to ask for extra soap everyday.

Our room was great...the beds were very comfortable. We really enjoyed The Keg breakfast Brunch and the Earth Spa. The 10 minute walk to centre of town was lovely. Even tho inside construction was going on you weren't aware of it. Would stay here again!
Very nice hotel in a beautiful national park. Convenient location with complimentary bus pass.

We had one of their new updated rooms which was delightful. The decor was good, the beds comfortable, the large bathroom with heated tile floor and fluffy towels was a delight. A balcony with view of the mountains was great, but unfortunately it was over the loading dock which went into service mode about 7 AM each morning. The underground garage was […] a plus for loading and unloading baggage. However, once we left the comfort of our room, the hotel left a lot to be desired. The hallways were in bad shape with nicked paint and a terrible odor from the exhaust from the kitchen. Mornings it smelled like bacon fat and evenings like the smoky bbq. Breakfast was fine, but the evening meal at the restaurant was overpriced and underwhelming. With a few upgrades, this could be a great hotel. Les mer

"Wood smoke, but no marshmellows."
This place needs some major work! Upon arrival, we where given a key to a room that was already occupied. As an "upgrade" we where put in a fourth floor room where the slanted ceiling took up two-thirds of the living space... so it was easy to bang your head on the way to the bathroom, day or night. There was a constant smell of wood smoke as you entered […] your room and my clothes smelled of smoke even a day after we left. Les mer

We really enjoyed our stay,,I personally prefer to be a little bit further from downtown because it's quite and there's a playground accross the street where my son can play.The hot tub/pool is very relaxing after a long day of sightseeing ang shopping. Lovely facility to stay at in Banff. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Nice quiet place to stay and the staff are super friendly. First rate hotel.

Stayed in banff for two nights for Subaru Banff International Triathlon. Hotel is clean and staff were professional. Overall a good place to stay
"Shortcomings for the price"
The staff at this hotel is exceptionally nice. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly. They offer nice perks like a bus pass with unlimited use to go into town, which is a short 8 minute (or so) bus ride away. It is about a 15-20 minute walk from the village. They also offered free parking in the structure for our rental car. The location of the […] hotel is also nice because it is close enough to the village, but also far enough away to be more quiet. The hotel itself looks nice when you walk in to the lobby. However, the rooms and cleanliness of the hotel were really sub par. Our bathroom toilet did not look like it had been cleaned since the last occupant! It was pretty bad. The carpets and bed covers were also really dusty, and we had some allergic reactions to the allergens and dust. What was more was the horrible doors that swing shut. At all hours of the day and night you hear slamming doors up and down the hall, and it is LOUD and really disruptive. It would keep us up at night and wake us up in the morning. The spa at the hotel was also extremely overpriced. This hotel was actually recommended to us, and unfortunately, we are not able to do the same. Les mer

"Over priced nickel and dime spot"
Staff are disinterested in being of help to visitors. The attached Keg restaurant is slow and way over priced. The hotal could use a good cleaning. The air conditioning in the hallways only is not much help when your room is 85 degrees. If you enjoy being hot and blowing hot air on your self when you sleep that stay here, It was a great location with […] a big disappointmnet in terms of service and comfort. Friendly and helpful hotel staff. The room was very nice buy small. Beds were great. The hot tub needed to be cleaned out as there was sand in it. The room would have been better with air conditioning. Wonderful food at The Keg which is located inside the hotel. The staff was so nice that we would stay at this hotel again.

We stayed here twice during our 10 day trip. We enjoyed the beds. The first room had better ventilation as we just opened the windows to let the cool air in.

Nice hotel, had AC in the halls but no AC in the rooms. Was 80-82 F in the room at night. Very uncomfortable. For the price would expect a more.

The warm and welcoming atmosphere, clean and comfy rooms together with the excellent food, good wine and great service we’ve enjoyed definitely contributed to our high opinion of this lodge. "Great but No a/c!!!"
This hotel was very comfy except for no a/c in our room. We had to keep the fans going and window open all night. Everything else and customer service was great.

We stayed at Banff Caribou Lodge in late July. The lodge is in a great location, not too far into the "busy" part of the tourist area, but easily walked for shops, dining, sights etc. The decor and ameneties and room size are good. The in room safe is a really good size capable of holding laptop, camera and other odds and ends. The underground parking […] was also very handy. The only improvement that we would recommend is the addition of airrconditioning for the summer months. Our room opened onto a shared courtyard so leaving our windows open overnight was a somewhat noisy proposition. However, without airconditioning (and with in-floor heating in the bathroom that we could not turn off) we had no choice but to leave the window open. Otherwise this was a very enjoyable stay. The hotel was a comfortable place to stay. The rooms looked recently upgraded with new bathrooms. Staff was very friendly & helpful. There wasn't air conditioning but the windows opened to a refreshing mountain breeze. We kept them open all night. If you like a challenge you'll love the parking garage!
