Casablanca Hotel - New York

Dette hotellet har en fantastisk beliggenhet kun noen meter fra Times Square. Hotellet ellers er OK. Små rom og liten seng. Frokost ikke helt som vi fra Norge ønsker den. Hyggelig og hjelpsomt personale. God mat på naborestaurantene.

Dette hotellet er så nær perfekt som det går an! Særlig to timers gratis snacks og vin hver dag burde apellere til nordmenn... Det eneste som går an å innvende er at det koster endel, men alt som er bra i New York koster. Hotellet er praktisk talt PÅ Times Square og nær aller teatrene på Broadway. Det er dessuten personlig innredet og ikke i steril […] kjedestil samt at betjeningen er utrolig forekommende. Kan bare si at dette anbefales på det varmeste!! Les mer

Valgte dette hotellet pga tidligere omtaler og at det ikke var registrert med veggdyr. Super beliggenhet nær Times Square, likevel ikke mer bråk enn man må vente sentralt i NYC. Frokost inkludert, te, kaffe, frukt og kaker hele døgnet og ost og vin tidlig kveld. Personlig og veldig hyggelig service, de husket detaljer om hver enkelt gjest (hvem som […] var forkjølet, hvem som var på vei hit og dit, osv), men ikke påtrengende. Få rom, en herlig avveksling fra store hoteller. Rom ganske små, men hyggelige. Bestiller gjerne her neste gang. Les mer

Hotellet ligger perfekt til, rundt hjørnet for Times Square.Det har med andre ord nærhet til "alt". Betjeningen er profesjonell og veldig hjelpsom, med alt man lurer på eller trenger hjelp til. Man føler seg godt tatt vare på i en personlig og varm atmosfære. Det er deilig at det ikke er for stort. Rommet vårt var passe stort med et bad som virket ganske […] nyoppusset og vindu mot bakgården. Det var rent og pent, vaskedamen var innom to ganger om dagen tror jeg ;o). Frokosten var ikke veldig spennende, men helt grei! Vin og ost-sammenkomstene hver ettermiddag er en fin mulighet, når man kommer litt slitn inn fra en lang gåtur i byen. Alt i alt et kjempeflott hotell som vi gjerne anbefaler til andre, og som vi gjerne kommer tilbake til! Les mer

Small hotel just off Times Square.Older building, but the service and friendlyness of staff more than makes up for it..Quality of cold breakfast as well as wine and snacks offered daily in lounge is exceptional. Our family looked forward to both events every day. Gave us an excuse to stop twice a day, sit down and enjoy our trip.

My wife and I stayed here for two weekend nights. The staff was unfailingly helpful and friendly - with useful advice, but not at all obtrusive. The location was excellent for anything Broadway, the room clean and nicely appointed, and the breakfast and evening amenities in Rick's Place very relaxing and nicely done. I tell everyone, I'd come to NYC just to stay at the Casablanca. It's that SUPER! However, the hair dryer in our room (525, I think) needs to be updated.

This was a wonderful experience! The staff were attentive and worked hard to make our stay perfect; they accomplished their objective.

Had a good experience with this hotel. Definately recommend.

The staff are genuinely warm, attentive and caring. We both felt very welcome and special. The room was larger than I imagined and the fittings, décor and accessories understated but appropriate. I was there with visiting family and a 2 year old and although only there for one night, I would go back (and plan to) anytime. The staff are the best and very helpful. Roll out the door onto Times Square! There is a parking garage almost next door. The room was larger than some others I have been in in NYC and lovely. The room and bathroom were clean […] and the bed comfortable. Free wine and cheese at four let us rest our tired feet and the complementary breakfast got us going in the morning. The reviews for the Casablanca were so good that I decided to try it out on our recent two night trip. We were pleased with our stay. It felt more like a bed and breakfast, just feet from Times Square. I did find the room to be a little too small for my liking. At the end of a long day, it would've been nice to lounge a little more in our room. The […] bathroom was a great size and perfectly clean. Loved the shower head, too! Breakfast was a great touch, along with the wine & cheese in the afternoons. I would stay here again, but I would prefer a suite if it fit in our budget at the time. Les mer

True Hidden Gem in NYC. Location, Hotel itself and Staff were Excellent! Highly recommend this to anyone. Not your typical NYC hotel.

My wife and I left our kids for the first time ever to remember what we were like before kids (16 years ago!) and chose NY as our escape and the Casablanca as our hideout. I have to say I have stayed in most of the leading chains - Sofitel, Four Seasons etc... and I think this hotel is up there with them. Lovely relaxed atmosphere really welcomes you. […] Friendly and very helpful staff look after you and deliver fantastic service - I am not usually prone to using these types of adjectives but in this case, it really does deserve it. This is a relatively simple hotel - no huge foyer or 16 different restaurants etc...but then you are in times Square...you don't need it. What you get is great rooms and at a good price (they didnt charge me to upgrade my room). You are left with a really positive impression afterwards of a hotel that loves to take care of you. We had a wonderful stay here, room was good, facilities were just as good, and most of all you're right in the middle of the action in Times Square. Staff were curtious and helpfully. Will definitely recommend and go back myself.

We were thoroughly pleased with our stay at the Casablanca. The staff were extremely helpful for first-time visitors to New York. Our room was pretty quiet, despite being on the front side of the hotel. And, we were only steps from Times Square. Not only is this hotel located within walking distance of most important sights in New York, but the staff is courteous and helpful, the rooms are lovely, the bed is very comfortable, and it is even quiet! The little extras, such as snacks any time of the day, make it a pure joy to stay at Casablanca Hotel. We stayed 3 nights. We had dinner at Sardi's, […] went to a Broadway Play, walked to the Empire State Building and the Top of the Rock, and took two tours without having to take public transportation. The only time we had to use the subway was to go to Battery Park to take the Statue of LIberty Cruise, and the subway was just a few yards away from us! We couldn't have asked for better accommodations. We even got to see Jordin Sparks at Times Square our last day on the way back to the hotel! Les mer

Had a wonderful time. The hotel was kept up to high standards. Very quaint. We were very surprised with the space and cleanliness of the room. Older facade but contemporary rooms. Love the theme of the hotel. Just wonderful. I would DEFINITELY return to my new NYC home.

The hotel did not quite live up to the number 1 rating on TripAdvisor. This is a great little hotel, the staff is very friendly and they do go out of their way to help you. Do not go with the full bed option unless you are traveling alone. It is a very small bed, the room sizes were adequate for a boutique Times Square hotel, that met expectations, […] meaning small. It is definitely worth a try, this is the third hotel I have stayed in Times Square over the past couple of years. The wine and cheese each evening is a great touch, the small lounge area is a great place to unwind after each crazy day. The breakfast is also a perfect little buffet, in fact, there were always snacks available in the lounge area included with your stay. We found the rooms exceptionally quiet for a Times Square hotel, you are about 20 steps to the center buzz of the Times Square excitement. Enjoy! Les mer

The location was fantastic!! The staff was equally as great...they were friendly and helpful. We were very pleased and would definitely stay there again.

Couldn't have asked for a better hotel to stay at. Staff very helpful and friendly. Considering, it is located only about 100 paces from main part of Time Square it wasn't noisy either. Allows easy access to all main tourist attractions. Would definitely use again. Hopefully sooner rather than later! A trip to remember!!

My daughter and I really liked the hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the room was just right - not too big, but two comfortable beds, a decent size bathroom, everything we needed. Despite being just off Times Square it was quiet and restful in the hotel. I would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, location, staff, breakfast excellent. Room was lovely, 2 big twin beds, nice big shower - only downside was room only had an unopenable frosted small glass window - ok for 2 nights, but would get abit claustrophobic any longer!

Amazing staff at the Casablanca! They made our holiday. Nothing was too much for them and any advice or recommendation they provided was fantastic. Highly recommend this hotel for its staff and location

This was the perfect choice for our vacation. The staff is so helpful and friendly. The hotel is quiet. The customers were people over 50 - no kids - no noise. Wonderful location - close to restaurants and theatre. Within walking distance of the Empire state building and Rockefeller Center. The hotel was excellent in every way..hassle free, low key and helpful staff, top location, great Continental breakfast in relaxing surroundings. It is on the expensive side, but worth it. We would happily stay here again!

We could not have been happier with our stay at the Casablanca. The front desk was very helpful, answering all of our "tourist questions" about the subway, where to eat, etc. The young ladies in Rick's Cafe that took care of breakfast each morning and the wine reception each evening were excellent. The wine reception from 5 - 8 pm was a welcome respite […] each evening as we returned from our activities of the day to sit and relax for a little while before we headed out for the night. The hotel is just a few steps off of Times Square, and within walking distance of Macy's, Rockefeller Center, dozens of theaters, and countless restaurants. A subway station, less than a block away will help you get to more distant locations. All in all, we had an excellent stay in NYC, due in a large part to our choice of the Casablance Hotel. Hotel is on an unpleasant block which was not comfortable to walk on at night, especially as a woman. Room had "tired furniture", but was immaculate. Big problem with flashing neon light penetrating window cover. It was almost bright enough to read by. We had a running toilet which was loud enough to be very annoying. "Rick's Cafe", which is the […] communal area, was inviting and comfortable. As with everyone on the staff, the service was excellent - at breakfast, during the day for a cold drink and cookie, and during the wine and cheese reception. Lots of appealing fresh food. Given the hotels very high rating, i was very disappointed. I stayed on the third floor and the rooms were very tiny. The TV was very old fashioned and unclear, with limited channels. The worst part of my stay was the odour in the corridor from the carpet on the third floor. I think it makes the hotel shabby and should be changed immediately. ブロードウェイと５番街の近くいう事でここに決めました。マイアミからの夜遅い便で到着しました。事前に何の連絡もしていなかったので、心配でしたが夜中の１２時過ぎにも関わらず、ロビーでにこやかに迎えてくれ、’２階に温かい飲み物があるから、好きなように飲んでください。’と言ってくれました。予約ではバスタブのない部屋のはずでしたが、’日本人にはバスタブは必須だよ’とバスタブ付きの部屋にしてくれました。心遣いに感謝しています。ホテル内はどこも清潔で、アメニティーも必要十分でした。こんなに便利なところでありながら、夜は静かで安眠できます。食事や夜提供されるワインやチーズに関しては、他の方のコメントどおりで、とても満足できました。従業員の方は全員働き者で、親切です。見ていて気持ちがいいです。とても気に入りま […] した。今までは大型有名ホテルばかりを使っていましたが、このような小規模でいきとどいたホテルはとてもいいものだと思いました。次回もぜひ利用したいと思いました。 Les mer

Ihana aamiainen tuoreine marjoineen ja bageleineen, sekä huippuna illalla shampanja / viini juusto tarjoilu sekä 24h hedelmiä ja kahvia/teetä. タイムズスクエアのすぐそば。ミュージカルを見た後も歩いて帰れるし、ブロードウェイ側と６番街側にほとんどの地下鉄路線があって大変便利です。 部屋自体は清潔だったけど、窓に設置型のクーラーから外気が漏れ入ってきて寒かったので、バスタオルをかけて対処しました。逆に真夏はあのクーラーだけで涼しくなるのか疑問です。 スタッフはみんな気さくで感じが良かったです。

Times Squareのすぐ横（間近）という好立地ながら，非常に静かな部屋だった。（全てとは限らないだろうが。）部屋はかなり広め。クラシックで上品。設備は少し古いがぼろくはないし，よく手入れされていた。従業員は皆，非常に親身。 朝食のコーヒーは３種に加え，エスプレッソマシンがあった。非常に美味かった。 部屋でビジネス文書を書ける大きさの机がある。

部屋に入ったのは　１５時半頃。一時間以上待つ。 バスの排水が悪く、修理を頼む。　対応は早い。 目覚まし時計が　使えず。配線の不安定から。 軽食サービスは大いに利用した。便利、重宝した。 受付とコンシェルジェが分離していないため、予約の依頼など　時間が　かかった。久しぶり【１０年以上）のNY訪問のため　最近のスモールホテルの質について不明だが　おおむね　好感がもてた。

Hotellet er lille men meget hyggeligt og roligt. Morgenbord og de øvrige muligheder i Ricks Cafe, der følger med i prisen er virkelig gode. Personalet er meget venlige og yder en meget god service, bl.a. fra receptionen i forbindelse med bestilling af diverse billetter mv. Værelset var stort og meget rent, med god og komfortabel seng; MEN det værelse […] vi havde vendte mod gaden og derfra var der alle nætter meget støj (skraldebiler, varebiler, vejarbejde), der desværre ødelagde noget nattesøvn. Derfor er bedømmelsen på komforten kun 3. Så skal vi booke hotellet igen (og det vil vi meget gerne ud fra alle andre forhold), så SKAL det være med et værelse, der vender mod gården. Les mer

本当に笑顔で親切。立地も最高。ワインもベーグルもおいしかった。　　ひとつだけ残念なのがエアコンがまったく効かない。冷たい風が吹くだけ。ホテルの人に言ってもおなじでした。机も丸テーブルなので仕事をするひとはちょっとつらいかも。

タイムズスクエアに近く､ミュージカルを楽しむ為にこのホテルを選びました｡ホテルの場所･ロビー･部屋の感じ想像以上でした｡しかし喜んだのは此処まで､部屋に入りすぐに出かけ部屋に戻るとエアコンの音がやけに大きいSWを切ればいいかと思いSWを切っても音はやまない!!なぜ､すぐにフロントに連絡して如何にかしてと言っても"室外機の音でどうにもならない"でおしまい｡ホテル全体がそうだとの事で､部屋を変えても無意味との事｡これ以外は満点のホテルですが｡とにかく夜､五月蠅くて眠れないのです｡ゆえにこのホテルお勧めしません｡
