Greenmount Beach Resort - Coolangatta

This was a great resort in its day but it is very "tired" and in need of a revamp. Such a good location if you want to surf or have access to the shops and restaurants in the area.Our bed was so bad that we chose to put the matteress on the floor to ensure we got some sleep on the second night. Good to have breakfast included in the tariff....

so close to 2 beaches and restaurant at surf clubs. other restaurants close by. just 10minutes by bus from gold coast airport (not late at night) cinemas, shopping and supermarkets minutes away. Beautiful walking/cycle track that follows the beaches for klms.

Staff and location great - but hotel is "tired" and needs make-over. The mattresses in our room desperately needed to be replaced. Included breakfast was a bonus but the ability of birds to land on your head while you're eating in not desirable. Ok for overbite stay.

Hotel is close to great venues for shopping,dining,walking,surfing and swimming activities. I would recommend this location very affordable price and hotel staff friendly and accommodating

Customer service was excellent. Really helpful and friendly staff. The cost of the hotel wasn't cheap and the room was very dated and run down. There weren't any tissues, shampoo/conditioner/body lotion/face washer etc. Our towels were stained and had hair on them as did our pillow case. The location was great, only 500 metres walk to the main shops/cafe/bus […] etc. We had a great stay and enjoyed the pool very much. The state and age of the room was a disappointment. But the customer service made up for it. Les mer

Old building, but great value. good position.

If you like brick walls with white stucco, rusty ceiling fans and brown tiled bathrooms… then this is the place for you! Classic 70’s style through and through in need of a desperate facelift. However the location is great, staff very helpful and the room was clean with nice white fluffy towels. I only needed to stay overnight as it is close the Airport, […] but I could not stay there for more than that as the room just looks tired and demoralising. Les mer

The Hotel is a little dated but we were very happy with all we had the location is perfect the Breakfast was wonderful, service by Justin great!!We would stay again!!

Hotel is in need of renovation but is comfortable and reasonable value for the price, including breakfast.

The resort has lost it's sparkle, it is very run down except for the reception area and surrounds. We found mould above the shower and the sink in the bathroom was very stained. The bed linen was clean but the bed was lumpy.The TV was not up to standard and when because of the bed youcan't sleep, it would be good to have a decent TV to watch. The staff […] were mostly very friendly but this did not make up for the fact that the resort has become almost a backpackers without the discount rates. I would think that a good look at the rooms and the fittings would be in order. I would also advise that you get to the resort early on weekends (well before 2PM) because the parking is attrocious. Firstly there is no parking available on site so we had to park two blocks away and carry our suit cases in the rain to the reception. All the way from the entrance of the building to the reception desk was drops of blood and puddles of water on the floor courtesy of a guest that had cut their foot at the beach moments before our arrival....the mess […] was still there two hours later as we passed through again. Check in took an extra long time due to a new computer system which the staff didnt know how to use properly. We were on the 7th floor and didnt need our key to get into our room as it was already wide open? Dirty room and to be honest very dissapointing in all areas. The Greenmount Beach Resort is in desperate need of repair and a complete makeover. Although the location is good I would never stay there again or recommend to any of our friends or family. Les mer

We have in the past spent many a good time at Greenmount, when our now teenage boys were growing up, so we booked there for convenience of location & sentimental reasons. Now we find it run down & very tired looking but all in all you get what you pay for.

The hotel is in a top location for surfing and within walking distance of restaurants and shops. It's a bit dated but it's comfortable and clean with all the amenities you expect in a hotel. For a night or two it's very good value. And our room had great views of the beach. Definitely would stay again.

The location was excellent. Close to everything, only a 2 minutes walk to Twin Towns. We had requested a room with 2 queen beds and we got one with 2 singles and a queen so we had to be moved. Was concerned with the signed saying do not lean on the balcony railing and the amount of rust on that railing. I wouldn't want to stay there for more than 1 […] night, but for what we paid to stay there it really was only for a bed to sleep in. No room in bathroom. There was also some very strange behaviour over the road in the park that woke us all up at 2am..some kind of cult activiity Les mer

The Greenmount Hotel in its time would of been a great hotel. In its present state it is in great need of repair in all areas. On our arrival at the hotel there was a wedding party and we were kept waiting in reception a long time. By the time we checked into our room, we informed that there was no more room ,in the carpark, we had to park our cars […] outside of the hotel. Apparently at weekends you are lucky to get a spot, as there are only about fifty spaces available. On the up side the hotel was accross the road from beach and amienities were a short stroll away. Also the airport is close ten minutes in your car. Although the hotel was very dated, the beds were reasonably comfortable and the rooms clean. Les mer

写真ではかなりりっぱな感じ」だったが、実際は老朽化していた。部屋のドアは異常に重く室内は薄汚れ、寝具の毛布に長い毛が付着していた。部屋を変えてもらって２泊だけなので我慢することに。朝食は料金に含まれていて内容も良かったが、出発日は早すぎて食べれなかった。早朝６時のチェックアウトにレセプションはまだ開いてなかった。深夜から早朝は閉鎖しているらしい。
