Vi kom litt skeptiske til Miami. Er dette noe, liksom. Men etter dagene der, er vi hel frelste og det er takket være Ocean Plaza Beach Resort. Du kommer der og blir møtt av folk som tar bilen din og setter den i garasjen. De tar ut kofferter og åpner dører. Inne er det verdens hyggeligste mann som vil ta koffertene opp til hotellrommet. Og i reseptionen er det bare smil å se. En føler seg så tatt vare på av alle som jobber der og når stranden hotellet ligger på er verdens flotteste og sjøen er lyse grønn, ja da er livet herlig:-)

Et fantastisk charmerende sted med en fin frokost og hyggeligt samvær med andre gester. Kan varmt anbefales hvis du ønsker en ekstra oplevelse i Savannah. Er beliggende meget sentralt.

All perfect, except housekeeping that was a disaster. I had two connecting rooms, and had left one pice of cloth on one of the four beds. Housekeeping left a nice note on the bed that they were not allowed to move private items so the room could not be cleaned. First time I have experienced such an attitude.

"very good location"
older hotel . head board was broken and ran out of toilet paper. but i would stay again. price and location are great.
"Too old and smelly rooms..."
For the price you can find much better places to stay, lobby was fine, clean.. the outside looks ok... the rooms: very old and smelly carpet, A/C leaking water which adds to the smell, matress springs visible, box spring torned... in conclusion you can find a lot of other places in better condicions for less that half of the price of this one.

"The motel Quality Inn - Hilton Head island, SC"
Horrible, horrible, horrible! Room stunk of mold, and a/c did not work. Had a tough time sleeping. Checked out the next day. Breakfast was only average, no meat or eggs. A/c condensation water leaked out forming brown stains and dripped down to the lower floors, eventually to your head or feet! Pool was further away from the facility. "Decent hotel in a good location"
The best part of staying in this hotel is its location. The bad parts were the uncomfortable beds and pillows. The worst part was the guy the hotel allows to pitch time shares to guests as they check in. When you only have a short time in a nice location you don't want to waste it being stuck talking to a pitchman who wont let you go.

This is a GRAT no frills hotel. Old, but clean and everything worked perfectly. The tv is old, fixtures are as well, but I stayed here on a work trip and would again.

Great for the price especially! Now it isn't fancy by any means. But it is clean and the staff is great. In addition they allow you to bring your pets which means a great deal to me.

Everything was great except for a malfunctioning electric outlet and one of the room access cards. Bed was comfy. Room was clean. Nice neighborhood. Nice breakfast in cheerful room.
"Roaches!!!"
We booked this hotel and liked the price. We drove about half of the day to get there, it was just a stop for a night. When we got there we discovered roaches in the room. The hotel said they were not roaches but "Palmetto Bugs" they stated that they have those a lot in the area. We looked up Palmetto Bug and it states in the definition, "also known […] as American Cockroach." I am sure that the coast has more of a problem than other areas of the country but obviously they don't do the best job of preventing this situation. I cannot comment on the rest of the hotel because we did not stay another minute, wouldn't go back either. Luckily we booked with Hotels.com and got our reservation changed to another hotel. Les mer

Great place to stay, they allow your pet which is a huge convenience for me. Very nice people, motel is old and in the process of being remodeled. Room was clean and smoke free.

"Has Potential"
This hotel has the potential to be really nice. My family and I were traveling in SC and decided to extend our trip and stayed in Hilton Head, SC. So our reservations were last minute. We booked a regular double room, but then decided to upgrade to a suite. The suite fit our needs with a mini-kitchen but the decor needed HELP! There were multiply shades […] of green (YIKES!), none of the furniture or fabrics matched. The outside walls need to be powerwashed and repainted. The website pictures really do not reflect what the hotel actually looks like. On the other hand, the staff was great and helpful. I believe they make the place better. And, my boys enjoyed the mini-putting range. We did not use the pool because it was so far away from our room. I would stay there again only on short notice or if there was nothing else available. Great Location, hotel is older, but for the price, it worked out great! Its not the Hilton but I would stay there again.
Overall our stay was nice. Staff was disgusted that we came an hour before check in to just "see" if a room was available. We left and came back to check in an hour later and they were a bit friendlier. We did call for extra towels one day that never did make it to the room. Very pet friendly hotel which was nice for our family! Would recommend to other […] travelers with pets because of the ease of having them with us. Good stay for the money. Les mer

"Hilton Head stay"
Our hotel was somewhat disappointing. Hot water was hard to get - daily. My wife likes to take bath's but when you cannot get a tub stopper to hold the water it is difficult. The folks were friendly but the condition of the hotel was disappointing. Next time I will pay a little more for a better experience.

"Stay here only if no other rooms available!"
Requested room was not available. Substitute room had no seating, a very noisy heater(and it was in the 30s) and no pillows. ( Pillows were later provided). Linens were worn. And although the breakfast service was to be from 6-9 AM, the was no food after 8 AM. Not even coffee! They said they had sent out for more food but we'd all have to wait an hour. The Room, although aged, is very clean, no smell at all, especially considering their rate. Breakfast is very simple. Wireless Internet is sucks, almost impossible. However, I still recommend this hotel.

The room was a fair value for the price. If you are looking for more up-to-date lodging, you will have to pay more at some other place. I tried to print a document in the Business Center and the printer was out of ink and there was no spare for replacement. The registration receipt said that either a Wall Street Journal or USA Today would be available […] for guests. When I asked for one, I was directed to the coin operated paper boxes in front of the inn. The waffle iron had been damaged by an employee and only cereal and cold pastries were available for breakfast. Les mer

The room was clean overall. The shower needed Tilex for the mold, there were hairs on the bed sheets. The quality of the sheets, blankets and pillows were very decent. I bookedfa King bed online and was given two queens and that when you book online it doesn't matter what you booked. FYI: They were very proactive about being upfront about having a pet […] or you will be charged much higher cleaning fee. Overall good experience, just not thrilled by Hilton Head. The hotel is right on the main drag on the island, and close to everything! For the price, it was a very acceptable room, and nice and clean. The only thing we could negatively comment on is the fact that the dresser drawers didn't slide in and out any longer and the dresser was quite beat up....although, for one night, it wasn't going to get used anyway...but […] it was noticable. They had a continental breakfast, but we didn't make it there, so no comments on that. I'd stay there again, especially with the cost of the places on HHI. It was a great place to rest our weary heads, while spending the days driving around the island to see where our son was working. It's all thumbs up from us!! :) Les mer

This was a nice, comfortable room for the money. Good rates through the weekdays. Only 10 minutes drive to Folly Field Beach, which was nice, family orientented, and has facilities.
"Very cozy and pleasant"
This hotel and its staff is worth your money. It's conveniently right beside Applebee's and it's very close to other restaurants. It's strategically right across the street from Wal-Mart and a grocery store.

Hotel was okay for the money. The rooms were decent. There were lots of noise that kept me from getting a good nights sleep though. I did think the gravy, biscuts, and fresh walffles were an added bonus for free breakfast. The pool area wasn't very clean and the paint was peeling off the bottom and sides of the pool.

"You get what you pay for"
We booked this room for a weekend with the intention of only being in it to sleep and for that it was perfect. The great things: it's pet friendly for a $25 non refundable deposit and $10/night fee (fairly reasonable). My reservation was for a queen bed but we were upgraded to king. This hotel was very clean, it was in a great location within just minutes of the beaches. I was impressed with the free breakfast, I was expecting doughnuts but there was actually quite a selection. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend, this was a great deal for the price.

Great Room and Location especially for the price. Easy check in and had no problems with room. I wiil stay there again. It is close to everything and quiet.
Front desk was courteous and helpful. We rented two rooms. Rooms were clean. Ceiling was a little bubbled and paint was peeled just a little in one room. Bathrooms were clean. "Hotel on Hilton Head Island"
good room for the price. It was clean and comfortable. It was located near the beach and restaurants. We got take out from a local restaurant for dinner and forgot forks but they gave us some forks and spoons at the front desk. Obviously it is not a beach resort but it is a good place to stay if you are on a budget and want to visit the island.

We had some situations with our room that made the stay unpleasant but after speaking with the hotel manager, he made it right. I would go back and stay again. Great customer service.
"Excellent Room"
The room was very clean and comfortable. Hotel had an Appleby's resturant attached so didn't have to travel far for a good meal. Location was excellent, on the main road so easy to get to the beach, golf courses and Thrift stores (for the wife).

The hotel was in a good location and served our purposes. The complimentary breakfast was below average, mainly because it seemed like they only occasionally re-stocked their supplies. But the rooms have microwaves and refrigerators, and there was a grocery store right across the street, so that was not really an issue.
"Car break in"
My car was broken into in the hotel parking lot with numerous things stolen. When reported to the hotel, they didn't even write my name down or refer me to the police to file a report. No camera's on site. The hotel was run down and smelled terrible.
"Not worth the money"
Our room was terrible. We were there for 2 nights. The room smelled horrible. It was that damp, musty smell. We asked to be moved but were told there were no other rooms available. The bath tub was stopped up and did not drain properly. My husband actually went to our car and got tools out of the trunk and removed a hairball from the tub drain. The […] air conditioning made this awful noise when it ran. We thought based on the price, it would be a decent hotel. Overall the hotel seemed dirty and kind of run down.
