Hotellet er greit, men det som står i beskrivelsen av hotellet stemmer ikke , det er ikke hav utsikt og balkong på alle rommene. Vi hadde forhåpninger om dette, men fikk et rom uten balkong, og utsikt rett i bakgården. Da vi sa i fra om dette fikk vi beskjed om at de var klar over at det sto i beskrivelsen men det var opp til oss å spesifisere hva vi […] ville ha i en mail eller tlf, noe som er vanskelig da vi ikke har vært der før. Stayed for one day, but can tell the place is well kept. Nice staff, great value. Resort fee covers parking lot.

Forgot my bathing suit. Phoned and spoke with lost and foud and the manager to no avail. I would not go back as I don't trust the chambermaids.

What a pleaseant this hotel was! I wish that I had booked it for our entire trip, instead of only one night following our cruise. My two friends and I found it to be well worth the price, especially since it was right on the beach and in a rather "posh" neighborhood of hotels. The pool was great, the view from our balcony was postcard perfect, the front […] desk & valet staff were very friendly, and it was a straight shot down Collins to all of the Miami hot spots. The rooms were a little dated, and if your expecting the Trump International (which is next door) you may be disappointed; but if you're just wanting a great place to stay with easy beach access and a pleasant atmosphere, all for a good price, I highly recommend the Days Thunderbird Inn! I had to carry all my lugagge to the room cause the elevator was on the other side of the hotel and there was no access to bring the lugagge cart to the room. Front Desk Clerk hung the phone on me while I was trying to get information about their restaurant, the Clerk would not wait for me to finish my sentence and would transfer my call. The floor […] in the room was so dirty that we had to wash our feet every night before going to bed. Bathroom was in poor conditions as far as maintenance ( Ceiling falling apart, bathtub was clogged and dirty) there were not enough towels and they never replaced or put new ones unless we called asking. At check out day we had called for a cart when available, the front desk said they would call us back because they were all occupied, two ours later wainting for the cart, we decided to go to the lobby to grab one when we saw three front desk clerk chatting and about two or three lugagge cart right in the middle of the lobby. At the front desk to check out we complained to the clerk and after giving a horrible explanation in regards the hotel maintenance, the clerk called us liers about the wait for the lugagge carts. Hotel staff is nice and service is alright but the building itself could use some remodeling and renovation as it is very old. Rooms were alright but could be cleaner, but the hotel location is great!

I can't even put into words the horror of this hotel. Unless you really like to walk into a dirty bathroom with someone else's #2 stains on the toilet upon check-in I highly advise you stay away. The ONLY plus is the beach.

For the location and price, I will definitly stay here again.They could be better on cleanliness, but the hotel is older. I was pleased with the location and the ammenities. Would have been nice if there was a microwave in room, but it did have a fridge. Would recommend to friends.

This hotel is clean to be sure. It is also old, and unimproved. Uncomfortable beds, bath tubs that fill up when you shower, and electrical sockets that are unfunctional. A hotel bar that closes at 12. Relatively unaccessible public transportation.

This review covers my stay from Dec. 13 to Dec 19 2012. There are too many problems with the Thunderbird for me to recommend it. They had to close and drain the pool for the last half of my stay due to leaks! Hot water was often not available for hours at a time on several days. A leak in the tank I was told. The bath rooms are not very well maintained […] and the maid removed my towels without replacing them. Also it was not possible to control the room temperature. Next time I will go back to either the Newport or Casablanca both vastly superior properties. Les mer

Hotel grounds were clean, modern, and right on the beach. We had a nice view from our room but the rooms were very dated and the mattresses were pretty uncomfortable.

We enjoyed our stay, it is right on the beach and we really enjoyed waking up and going for a walk on the beach and a morning swim. We were on the first floor, which had it's conveniences, but was also very loud at night from other guests and the hotel bar, and early morning from the maid service. I would stay there again.

Good location, close to Aventura mall, pharmacy and grocery. It's an old hotel so don't expect the rooms to be super nice, it's just a hotel to get a good night sleep.

the pool and hot tub were nice. the room and furnishings were very old. We had the hardest mattress i have ever slept in. hey may has well poured a concrete slab. I had stayed at the ramada marco polo resort a short distance away. It was beautiful and would have only cost 20.00$ more! Pay the money and skip the days inn

room was small. the balcony floor was chipping up paint. pool area was nice. table set on balcony was missina a chair, so we pulled one out of the room. wall paper in bathroom was peeling, window frame was peeling. molding around top of room had gobs of wood filler that was not sanded down flush with the molding.

The staff was very friendly. Bad phone reception in hotel area. The room has bedroom right in front of the bathroom, difficult to access the bathroom. There was an unpleasant smell in hallway. The temperature in the room was unable to adjust, always cold and wet.

The rooms needs serious updating. The shower was terrible, and the beds were terribly uncomfortable and need new mattresses and box springs. It was right on the beach which was nice, but any more than 2 people in your room and it will cost to use the lounge chairs and towels.

The hotel is a little bit run-down, the room was outdated with some things which didn't work. The air conditioning didn't work properly (not possible to control the temperature) and just cooled down the whole night, the elevator was out of work. The hotel is not bad. In general, the people who work there are kind. The pool is nice, and the facilities eventhough they had better times, are still ok. The hotel charges a $10.00 fee everyday for using the internet, towels at the swimming pool, the newspaper (which by the way, we never got), and other things I don't remember. I think this things […] should be included in the price. Now, there's a lady at the front desk who tends to be very rude and impolite with customers. I saw her yelling at a guest. The Good: The room was reasonably clean, and I saw no bugs (a real plus in Miami). The staff were all friendly and helpful (except the bartender, oddly). The room was quiet. It was reasonable value, except for the parking fees (see below). The not so good: As there was no room thermostat, I was freezing cold in my room. The 10 per night fee for parking […] is ridiculous. There are plenty of spaces, and I know how to drive around the building and park my car- that part is a real rip-off. Les mer

Nice for a one night stay. The water in the shower and faucets came out brown when you first turned them on. I'm guessing this is due to old rusting pipes??

There were a few things wrong with our room, but the staff was very accommodating and they quickly moved us to another room. The hotel is old but well kept. One of the few affordable hotels left in Sunny Isles. Ground floor rooms are in front of the pool and a few feet from the Atlantic Ocean.

We call in advance and were told every room had a gas range and that our reservation was for a room facing the pool. When we checked in we had to pay extra for the range and when we got to the room we were facing the side of the building. We didn't

Staff (esp concierge/travel desk) were helpful and kind but hotel needs to be updated. Insulation so thin you wondered if there were doors. Our dismal shower barely got me wet and yet the drain left you standing in water. Maids do their best to keep it clean but fixtures are inadequate and bldg is simply worn out.

Bathroom outdated. Could not sleep half hight becuse it was so much noise from other rooms (local people made a party). So, defininetely I'll will not recommended to stay here.

Free breakfast was a piece of toast in an unaffiliated restaurant. So you need to leave a tip for the piece of toast. The restaurant owner laughed at the hotel's breakfast. Old, run down, needs repairs, rooms need updating, bathrooms were moldy and gross. Needless to say, it wasn't a pleasant stay in the hotel. Saving grace is the beach. The only advantage (beside some nostalgie) is the location - ON a superb neach, close to AVENTURA MALL. Difficult to find a better one there (in the mid-range). There have been no investments in the hotel for two decades, I guess. I advice to book a room in the upper floor (and to take some ear-plugs with you...).

The lobby, pool and beach were nice, good location, but the rooms are not well mantained. I didn't trust it to be well cleaned, bathroom was very outdated and smelled like vomit even after telling the cleaning service and supposely being cleaned. The tub just looked dirty.
