Svært fornøyd med oppholdet på hotellet , meget serviceminded personell , god frokost , mulig litt støy i spisesalen , men helt grei mat. Svært hyggelige og imøtekommende personell , både i skranken , og butikken eller han som satte vekk bagasjen. Lett å få tidlig innsjekking og sen utsjekking . Alt i alt , meget bra. Savnet minibar på rommet eller i alle fall et kjøleskap , men ellers var det ismaskin i gangen. Selv i New York var det mulig å få et stille rom.

Familie med to tenåringsdøtre. Fantastisk beliggenhet, flott service og komfortable rom. Suite Prestige med to dobble senger. Vi anbefaler dette hotellet sterkt om noen vil bo sentralt og vi er ikke i tvil om hvor vi skal bo neste gang. Det koster noen penger, men i forhold til beliggenhet og det du har igjen så er det ok.

Rene rom og god service - men veldig små rom. Måtte ha den ene kofferten på badet for å få plass. Men renholdet er viktigere enn størrelsen. Veldig bra beliggenhet og gåavstand til mange av hovedgatene på Manhatten.

"fantastiske 3 dager i NY"
Hotellet var under oppussing mens vi var der, men det gjorde absolutt ingenting, utrolig sentral beligenhet !!! Kort vei til sub, tog og buss, personalet på hotellet var utrolig behjelpelige med alt vi spurte om. Det tok 5 min å gå til time squer, hadde alt vi kunne ønske oss innen gå avstand trengte ikke bruke unødvendig med tid på å kommes oss til […] steder, og prisen på hotellet gjorde det mulig å legge litt ekstra i shoppingbudsjettet :) Alt i alt veldig fornøyd med oppholdet :) Les mer
"God beliggenhet, men slett rehold."
Rommet var veldig ok men det hadde vært fint om de faktisk hadde vasket litt og skiftet sengetøy i blant. Vi lå der i 9 døgn og de hverken vasket eller skiftet sengetøy en eneste gang. Rommet var ekstremt støvete da vi kom, sengetøyet var udelikat. Hadde de tatt seg tid til å vaske rommet ordentlig slik at det hadde vært rent, er dette et veldig ok […] hotell. Desverre synes vi det var litt ekkelt der pga slett renhold og vil nok neppe bo der igjen. Det eneste positive jeg kan si om dette hotellet er at det ser helt ok ut innvendig sett bor ifra at rommet var ekstremt møkkete og det har en fantastisk beliggenhet i forhold til prisen man betaler. "Lite og slitt hotel"
Stor nedtur å komme til dette hotellet, lå nesten i en bakgate. Kunne ikke ta all bagasjen med i heisen, den var liten. Lite rom , vi var to voksne og ett barn. Hull i laken, ikke håndkler nok til oss alle, støvete, sopp i taken over dusjen. Når de hadde ryddet på rommet tok de ikke søppel og fremdeles ikke nok handkler. Om man reiser til New York for å bli på hotellet hele tida så bestill et annet.Hotellet er gammelt og slitt, men et topp personale gjorde alt for å tilfredstille mine ønsker.Topp beliggenhet med få min til Times Square.Sengene ok og alt var rent.Generelt er rommene veldig små, men jeg fikk bytte 2 ganger uten noen problemer. Dette er et hotel om du […] kun trenger en plass å sove.Da jeg ikke var tilfreds med de to første rommene , så fikk jeg gratis internet samt gratis opphold utover utsjekking etter kl 12.Det bra med sen utsjekk slik at man kan ta en dusj før man reiser til flyplassen.Spesielt når det var så varmt i New York.Aircondition bråka en del, men etter å ha vært ute fra tidlig morgen til langt på natt så er man så utslitt at man sovner uansett.Så i det store og hele var hotellet ok, og byen fantastisk.var der fra 13/7- 20/7 2011 Les mer
"Sentralt, men ikke toppkarakter..."
Hotellet var svært sentralt da det kun var få minutter å gå til Times Square og videre til Broadways mange teatre. Det store kjøpesenteret Macy's var heller ikke langt unna, der det også lå subwaystasjon til de fleste destinasjoner på Manhattan. Hotellet i seg selv var derimot ikke noe spesielt. Vi reiste ikke for hotellopplevelsen og var glade for […] å ha en ok plass å sove da vi var ute å fartet hele dagene. Slitte madrasser, halvveis reparert køyeseng og en aircondition som lagte mer lyd enn det den gav kald luft, men stod den på lenge nok ble det kjølig. De to vinduene (ett i selve rommet og et på badet) hadde utsikt til en bakgård der det ikke var mulig å se hvilket vær det var engang, og døren ut til hotellkorridoren var vanskelig å lukke, samtidig som det var et halvcentimeters mellomrom mellom dørkarmen på gulvet og selve døren - slik at vi hørte alle som snakket og gikk fordi i gangen. Personalet i resepsjonen var behjelpelige med det vi spurte om, men det var det. Alt i alt var turen vi hadde til New York kjempefin, mye fordi vi ikke var på hotellet mer enn det vi måtte. Supersentralt, men selve rommet var ikke mer enn det måtte være. Virket som møbleringen og utvalget av møbler var ganske tilfeldig, i tillegg til at det var svært slippe madrasser som var noe udelikate å sove på. Har du litt ekstra penger å bruke på komfort og trivsel ville jeg valgt et annet hotell, men dersom du ser etter et sentralt hotell der du kun skal sove, er dette et greit sted. Les mer
"Supersentralt på Manhatten"
Enkel standard, men super sentralt på Manhatten. Funker helt fint på for to på ferietur uten de alt for store kravene. Vi reiste rundt i USA i 4 uker og hadde ikke budsjett til fancy hotell over alt.
Veldig ok rom for de som vil bo sentralt på manhattan, men ikke bruke opp alle pengene på hotellet. Litt nedslitte rom, men alt var i orden og badet var rent.

"Close to sights but not the best quality"
The hotel wasn't the worst place I've ever stayed, but certainly wasn't what I expected. The location is great (can walk to Times Square, Central Park, etc), but other than that, not a great experience. The bed was really uncomfortable and not very big (they said it was a queen, however my feet hung way off the end of the bed). The bathroom didn't seem […] as clean as it should have been, and our sheets had a black stain on them. The worst part though, was our door. Most hotel doors immediately lock when they shut, but not this one. You had to mess with the handle and push it up to get it to lock. When we arrived, I accidentally pushed on the door before sliding the key in, and the door fell right open. We reported it to management, and they told us to jiggle the handle. When we left, we always made sure the door locked, but when the maintenance people came in to clean, they (unknowingly I'm sure) left the door open. The biggest thing when visiting places is safety, and that definitely was not safe or right. Les mer

"Manhattan Broadway Hotel - good if not picky"
Ok so here the deal with this place. It isn't the nicest place i've ever stayed but its not the worst. The cons were that it is an old hotel. Things were broken, there was duct tape on my wall, the elevator is SUPER tiny. With that said, it is a 5 min walk to times square - where you can get on the subway and get anywhere. The beds in the rooms may […] not have had the nicest linens but its was actually surprisingly comfortable (like one of the nicest beds i've ever slept in when staying at a hotel!). Yes, the rooms are small, but who comes to NYC to hang out in their hotel? The front desk staff was EXCELLENT. They were super nice and helpful with any question we had. Would I stay again? Probably - but i'm not picky - as long as it doesn't have bedbugs and has its own in-room shower I'm happy. Les mer

"Not the Ritz but can't beat the price and location"
If you just need a place to crash after touring the city then this place will get the job done! Close to the subway and main attractions! Long story short you get what you paid for but acceptable conditions. Consider it adventure lodging :-)
"Dirty Hotel"
Bottom line.......room was dirty! Not just the bathroom and floor, but even the sheets were gritty - gross! Hotel staff were very nice...but I would never stay in the hotel again or recommend it to anyone. I can accept an outdated, small room with no ammenities....but dirty is NOT acceptable under any circumstances.

We are travelers who rarely pay too much attention to bad reviews because we are pretty easy to please with regards to general hotelservice and rooms. All we were looking for was a place to sleep for the night...but here we weren't even able to do that properly! The walls in this hotel are so thin that you can hear a whisper coming from the next room! […] Every time someone staying on the same coridoor as us left their room in the morning or came back late from a night out we were woken up by their conversations echoing through the hotel and being amplified due to the terrible acoustics. The rooms are filthy and we were NEVER given clean towels and toilet roll. The location of the hotel was fantastic. It took us less than five minutes to walk to time square...but I would still pay a little more to avoid all the trouble and sleepless nights we had here! This place is extremely ghetto. I grant that the location is good. The rooms are not taken care of and ultra dirty. If you are okay with this or have no other choice I guess its okay to stay here.

The people at the front desk were all very much friendly and helpful. The room is small so its not a place where you would actually have no more the 2 people in a room cause you wold litterally be on top of each other. The bathroom was clean but the tub was kinda scary. Bring your own towels & shower shoes. My 12yr old son was not trying to place his […] feet in there and kids are always honest. "The Worst Ever!"
It's difficult to really get across to you how awful this place really is. What was so bad: I got close enough to the bed to see two gray hairs (never mind that the sheets were so old that they were pilled like an old cheap sweater), there was no heat, the air-conditioner cover was a square of carpet that attached with duct tape, the floor looked like […] something out of a condemed building. I stayed long enough to find another hotel...and ended up having to pay for a nights stay for canceling my reservation! I wouldn't keep my dogs in this room...no exageration. Les mer

"Manhattan Broadway No-tel"
The hotel surprised me when I first saw it: a glass door in a recessed wall with a vertical "Hotel" sign being the only indication that it was there at all. Going inside, the lobby looked friendly and rather nice, the woman who checked me in was also friendly and worked quickly to give me the key card to my room. I was surprised to see the elevator […] was so small, but it looked clean and worked well, so it just seemed like a minor thing. I was again surprised when I opened the door to my room: the room was small (it seemed like an average dorm room in size) and the bathroom seemed like it hadn't been fixed up in quite some time. There was a large hole in the wall, hidden by the bed, there was a small wardrobe without any door and hardly any hanging space, and the door to the bathroom wouldn't stay shut without a second latch. The blankets, pillow cases, and towels all looked to have been obtained through donation and upcycled: they appeared to be children's blankets and towels, judging by the colorful patterns. I would also like to note the lack of seemingly tiny conveniences: there were no cups or glasses provided to drink from, the only soap in the room was a tiny bar of facial soap, and the garbage from the last customer was not cleared, but left in a large red plastic bag hanging by the door (I placed the bag in the garbage bin at the end of my stay). The room was comfortable in terms of temperature, but had no noise insulation; a very bad thing in a New York hotel with noisy traffic and noisy late-night customers. I will say one thing though: the customer service was exemplary. They checked me in and out in a matter of minutes and offered several interesting locals nearby the hotel and transport to get there; I didn't take them up on the offers, but it was pleasant all the same. I don't recommend this hotel, especially for an extended stay, but I suppose this hotel would be best used as a late-night rest stop or for very short stay. Les mer

I recently stayed at the Manhattan Broadway Budget Inn. All of the reviews scared me a little but it was not bad. The rooms are very small but very clean! The hotel is not in the best condition, a bit run-down, and the heat was not working well. Great location though and staff was very friendly. "have no high expectations here"
The room was a hodgepodge of furnishings, and the bed/pillows were quite uncomfortable. In the morning, the sound of water running woke me up when anyone used the water. The door was sort of broken and wouldn't close 100%, just enought to lock it. However, the staff was friendly and it is a wonderful location and is safe. It has been just one night but a really bad one. A small room with single beds, with a little window but no view - just a wall. The Bathroom was cleaned very bad. Very loud, because you heard anything. Reception-Service was ok. A plus: you could store your baggage for 2$

We did get room cleaning in 10 days only twice, have to pick up towels by us self, as well rubbish bags...and a big minus because there is no window in the room...people by the desk were kindly and helpful...

For the price that I paid for the night's stay, I cannot complain. I will admit that some of the other guests' comments from the website freaked me out but once I got into the room I was happy. I was upgraded to a suite which was nice of the hotel staff. As for location, I took the train into the city and the hotel was only 5 blocks from Penn Station. Mgr was great & cheerful but our sheets were dirty & no clean sheets could/would be brought to our room so I slept clothed on top of the bed. The whole place had new tile but no grout or area carpets. Bathroom shower & tub were noticably dirty as well. Waited til early evening following day to get it all cleaned. A/C worked great! For someone on a short stay wanting to see the sites and travel from the heart of the city to either end of Manhattan this is a great jumping off point. The room was definitely budget in furnishings but for the price the bathroom was spacious and shower was great. Only problem was the heat in the room and the air-con unit was so noisy it was unsocial […] to put it on all night. May not be the case in all the rooms so check first. The friendly and helpful counter staff offering pre-pay tickets to some of the major sites more than made up for any quibbles we had and they have a cheap service for leaving your bags after you check out that really helped us out. It's not exactly the Ritz, but it's a great place to stay on the cheap in NYC. We went to Bens, which is right down the block for happy hour and had 4 Sam's & 4 glasses of wine for $14. Had dinner next door for 3 w/drinks for $60. Great neighborhood if you like to get into the guts of NYC. No foo foo, but close enough to it.

I would definitely not recommend this hotel to an enemy let alone a friend. The sheets were forty years old with bleach stains, one of the beds did not have a box spring, when they did bring towels we had to ask for them and they came in all different colors with bleach stains in all of them, the only plus is that it is located near almost everything. place is tiny and room was small BUT it was clean and the staff was very friendly. There's a great place to get a reasonable breakfast right around the corner too. We were very pleased with things. Don't be put off by the way the "lobby" looks.
