Elevator by our room broke, and the hotel staff didn't notify the new staff upon the shift change. Since we had our 4 month old in a stroller, the staff generously switched us into another room on the ground floor, which was great. Problem was the A/C unit in that room wasn't connected to the thermostat like it was supposed to be. Also, the second floor […] icemaker had water dripping all over the floor. There was a "caution" sign up so someone on staff knew it was leaking, but the whole building looked to be in a bad state of repair. Staff was quite friendly and nice though. Excellent service. The room was very big and spacious, however the printer in the lounge area was broken, and the airport shuttle took over an hour to arrive, and only arrives when you call for it. The room was very clean, but i found that for the price, the airport shuttle should have run more often, and later, as my friend arrived after 11pm, and had to take a cab which […] cost $25. Check in to find out that my points were not updated so I could not receive a free nite and no one seemed too interested. The normal response was here is a pen, call the number there to find out.........and cause they could not do this for me.The breakfast in the morning was out of fruit and muffins with an hour and half still left of breaskfast time. […] ... Airconditioner wasn't working properly and as a result not a good sleep. after taking a shower in the morning found out the hairdryer wasn't working at all, and the response from the front desk was ...maintenance doesn't come in until 9:30...so had to check out with wet hair...At $132 per nite was not impressed and will rethink staying in a LaQuinta again. my stay at la quinta was very pleasant. the only thing that was very desapointing was the breakfast. It was like the worst breakfast ever. Generally very pleasant though it took a while for the shuttle bus to arrive. As a single female travelling late at night it is a bit unnerving . Travellers need to be aware that the hotel has 2 other subsidiaries that carry the same name- it would help if the buses could indicate north or west for easy identification.

Hotel was good.HOWEVER, after a day of travel I had to wait 1 hour 35 mins. at Miami airport for a courtesy bus!!! When I arrived I was advised basically that it was my fault as I should have called the hotel! There is nothing on your literature that states that. Hotel appeared run down, one elevator did not work at all, breakfast choice was terrible (toast and boiled eggs). The paint in the room was peeling, and some rusty spots. The best part of the stay was the bed as it was very comfortable.

I was told that there would be transportation from the airport to the hotel even though we were arriving late. I talked to the hotel itself to confirm. We ended up taking a cab which cost us about $40.00. Needless to say we were quite upset that after flying clear across country we had to deal with waiting in line to get a type of cab that could handle […] a wheelchair. Easy commute from Airport via shuttle, only complaint with shuttle was it only ran on the hour. We did ask about a nearby place to purchase some items and was told there was nothing nearby, they did not inform us that a Wal-Mart was just a couple miles away. Nice hotel clean rooms nice staff the shuttle was slow and it started after 6 am so if you have a early flight you have to calla acb, breakfast did not open until 6 again if you have a early flight no food

Airport hotel -- not quite at the airport-- about 8 miles from the terminal. Friday night traffic -- took almost 40 minutes. Front desk staff was very helpful. Good news was there are about 6 options for dinner within 5 minutes walking distance and then the hotel also does not see t0 mind "takeout" in the lobby -- both pizza and Chinese were on the […] menu while we were there. Reasonable, quiet. however initially it was difficult to find. Tucked in an industrial area. I could see it would be wonderfully located for business travellers. Average and clean, continental breakfast was fine. Good for business traveller.

Had a single room here with king-size bed for 5 nights on a business trip. Overall everything was excellent, I only had for issues: 1. Plastic on toilet seat was eroding. This is simply unsatisfactory. 2. Area under sink was sort of dirty and never got cleaned. A little attention to detail would go a long way here. 3. 7/37 channels on the TV were "temporary […] unavailable" the entire time I was there, including ABC and NBC. If it's advertised, it should be available. 4. Internet was slow..under 1 mbps, more like a 512k connection, and it was unsecured. I'd rather have to put in a password one time than have it generally unsecured, but that's just me. Also, invest in a business class connection and even with all the users you should be able to get better throughput. One more issue: it's right on the airport flight line, so expect to hear planes close overhead ever 90 minutes or so. It's not like the hotel isn't advertised with the term "airport" in the name though, so what can you really expect. Positives: Iggy and the staff were excellent, took all the above feedback very thoughtfully, and were just in general very nice. Did a good job cleaning except for the one point mentioned. Area is nice. Free breakfast was good. Les mer

Hotel was good, room was comfortable, clean and fresh. It is not very close to airport but they had shuttle service which takes around 30min to reach hotel from airport.

I have been choosing this hotel many times in the past. Location, price and service quality were big. But this last time I saw a deteriorated service. For my checking inn no room were available until 3:30 pm. Other people had to wait even more. At night, the parking lot was full and had to park at an adyacent mall.

Room was clean and comfortable. The desk clerk very helpful when I became ill getting us a taxi and showing us where to go, and holding our room and luggage for us until we could return. But the shuttle service from the airport was terrible. We waited an hour and a half for the ride.

La Quinta is always a good choice for a quick stay, it does not have room service or similar services as other hotel chains, but the rooms and the hotel itself provide good quality lodging. Breakfast is free and this particular hotel also offers shuttle services to the airport. Night shift at front desk can improve. I had an issue with reservation (which Expedia solved in 5 minutes!) and this person told me I need to wait for later because priority was check-in process. I was asked to pay for a night already covered by original reservation. Day shift was completely different!!

Unbelievable spacious room. Room is very clean. It has a small walk in closet. Double sinks and big shower room. Nice hot tub and swimming pool. But the swimming pool water is pretty cold. They have free shuttle to and from the MIA airport, but you have to call them first. and their shuttle only start at every hours, such as start at 6:00AM, 7:00Am, […] 8:00AM..... Hi, My son and I travelled down to Miami for an NFL game. Room was great, but when I tried to print boarding passes in the morning, the public machine was extremely slow. I was not able to print and kept getting timed out. Other than that, other amenities were fine.

Get to breakfast early and secure parking early for the evening as both are limited!!!! Overall, very simple, basic amenities - recommend bringing clothes pins or those office butterfly clips to keep the windows extra closed at night and when your dressing in the morning for extra privacy!!!!
