Store fine rom. Hundre meter til Albert Dock. Eneste utsette noe på var frokosten som ikke var mye å skyte av.

Vi var veldig fornøyde med oppholdet igjen. Dette var 2. gang på 2 mnd vi var i liverpool på det samme hotellet, og vi har vært veldig fornøyde begge ganger. Fin bar/spiseomeråde og flott basseng med trenings rom.Selve rommene er veldig fine og passet oss helt perfekt.kort avstand til alle butikker/sentrum 3-5 min gåavstand.

"Loved our stay"
The Mercure Oak was very conveniently located for Wigan town centre and the room was small bur perfectly formed. The bed was enourmous and incredibly comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly so I couldn't ask for more expecially for such a good price.

We needed this as a 'bed for the night'; following our house move. The hotel was centrally located for all the following days appointments etc and the room was comfortable and clean. The hotel seemed to be well appointed and I would happily stay there on other occasions.

The Oak is a modern, comfortable hotel within an easy walk of Wigan town centre. Staff are extremely helpful and courteous. There were a few drunks wandering the halls on occasion; this was probably down to a particular group staying here. Excellent buffet breakfast but you have to get there early. Handicapped guests might find the tub/shower difficult […] to get into. Les mer

Rather offputting on arrival. Very secure grounds - had to use intercom to reception to enter car park but this should provide peace of mind to anybody bringing their car. Hotel is typical 3 star but superior bedroom is better than normally found and was very good value. Restaurant deserted, but it was a Sunday evening. "Fab!"
We stayed for 3 nights in October 2011. We had a lovely, clean, newly refurbished room. Staff very friendly and helpful. The location is great to walk to town for shopping and for the nightlife on King Street = even in heels! (2 minute walk to the shops, 10 minute walk to King Street) Will definately stay at this hotel again for our annual trip to Wigan! […] The only thing to mention is that the corridors are in need of a new lick of paint to match the lovely rooms - wouldn't put me off though! Les mer

I found this hotel excellent to stay in with my 4 year old grandson.The staff were very helpful & an excellent choice of breakfast,the only downside no childrens menu for dinner which didn't start until 18.30

This hotel is conveniently based within a short walk to the main town centre fo which we found to be very pleasant. The rooms were clean and the reception friendly.

Well what a pleasant suprise, a reasonably priced hotel that is better than some Hilton's I have stayed in! Freindly helpful staff and a very underated resturant, ended up working late and decided to eat in the hotel, what a great move food was superb, and I mean SUPERB, best seabass I have ever had. Fantastic value!

When I got to my room I found there was a man already in there because the room had been allocated to someone else! Luckily they transferred me to another room, but they weren't very apologetic. Also had great trouble in finding hot water for the shower. Apart from that, it was ok.

The stay was a fairly unspectacular event in that the hotel was, compared to other hotels that I have used in the UK, decent value for money. I was treated courtiously by the staff, the accomodation was comforable and I left with no reasons to complain.

"Wigan hotel"
The hotel is well priced, clean and the staff are friendly. The room was adequate for the 1 night stay we had booked. The bathroom resembled a 1950's caravan, but the shower was powerful and good. The bed was extremely comfy and if we didn't have to get up and get off to the wedding we would have lay in for much longer. The hotel is quiet and peaceful, […] but don't expect a room with a view! All in all we were extremely surprised with the outcome of the experience as we have stayed in hotels 4 times the price for one night and been disappointed with it. The breakfast did the job, although it was a bit of a carry on - 4 jugs of juice with no glass to put it in, no ketchup etc. Finally I would suggest to look up the hotel and plan the journey to get to it around the wigan ring road as there was no signage as to how to get to it. "Oak Hotel, Wigan - you get what you pay for."
Not the most wonderful hotel I have stayed in. You get what you pay for. The shower leaked all over the bathroom which was quite lethal. The bathroom was very old fashioned. Staff were polite and it was convenient to town. Probably wouldn't stay there again.

Situated close to town square, A five minute walk from centre of town. All sites within walking distance. Plenty available taxi's, and a good friendly atmosphere where ever we went. Staff at hotel friendly, rooms large and spacious, beds comfortable, I would stay there again and also recommend it to family and friends.

To be honest we booked this hotel because it was near to Wigan Pier and we were not expecting much. We got a nice surprise. The reception was very good and the room was comfortable and clean. Food was good and reasonably priced and the bar was quite reasonable. The hotel was really well situated for the centre of Wigan but the immediate surroundiings […] neede some TLC. Very close to WSigan Little Theatre which looks worth a visit next time we are up that area. All in all a better experience than we expected. Would recommend it for a short stay. Les mer

"Good location for DW Stadium"
We travelled to Wigan for a football match at the DW Stadium. We arrived at the hotel around 12pm and were allows to check-in to the room early which we were more than happy with. The hotel has a secure car park which is locked at night ensuring safety. The reception staff were friendly and helpful when we asked for directions to the stadium they […] were more than happy to help and chat away. The room itself was ok. We were situated next to the lift which was a bit noisy and also next to the door entrance to our floor which was also a bit noisy with people coming in and out throughout the night. The room was a bit dated and the bathroom could have done with being decorated, however it was clean and tidy and the bed was comfy. We would go back to this hotel as we felt it was good value for money and in a good location for the stadium and also for local shopping and nightlife. Les mer

I just stayed for one night due to a party we've attended. The room was ok, nothing fancy, but clean. The bed was comfy but the noise from a roaring drain pipe (everytime someone flushed the toilet) was driving me mad - maybe they should change their drain system in the near future.
