Victoria Airport / Sidney Travelodge - Sidney

It is a Travelodge and my experience is they are old and worn. This one fit my experience.

Ive stayed at the Travellodge many times. Ive never had an issue with the rooms, or sevice. I recommend this hotel to my friends and family.

There was nothing bad about our stay. Good location; great reception; pleasant and helpful staff; great room; nice soap and shampoo; and great breakfast. Would stay again for sure.

We booked and prepaid for a business room and we were given a standard room. That said, it was midnight when we got there and we had a 5:30 shuttle booked so I didn't feel like making an issue of it. I would recommend phoning ahead and pre-booking your shuttle. When we showed up, there were too many people for the shuttle and some had to wait.

We were very satisfied. The front desk staff were great and very friendly. They took our luggage until our rooms were available.(We were a party of 4) The shuffle service and the staff operating it were also very helpful.. We greatly appreciate this service as we had a considerable number of bags to deal with plus a very early departure from the airport. […] Even at that hour the continental breakfast was ready and the staff were polite and still smiling. On the day we arrived the the staff were nice. They are however pricey for the kind of the hotel and the customer service, which was like boot camp. On the last day there was a completely different crew. They were, rude, abrupt, and nasty. We ended up leaving and finished our vacation staying at the Best Western where we got a superb service.

it was ok didnt get the room that we booked but they did move us to the room we wanted but the beds were to small for we asked for queen got double.

Everything was comfortable. I stay here because it's convienient,priced right, and continental breakfast is early. Hotel inside is tired.

Clean and just fine for overnight travellers waiting for a flight at the Victoria airport........wifi worked !

Very comfy bed, quiet, clean, very friendly airport shuttle driver. My only complaint would be the lighting from the lamps... Yellowish and dim.

The Sunday afternoon desk clerk was surly and unhelpful, but the other staff were very friendly and nice. Room was comfortable and clean. My only complaint overall was that the free wireless was really, really, really bad - the worst I've had at any hotel pretending to offer wireless service. Close to ferry, airport and good eating places. Clean rooms but very well worn linens and towels. Small porch with back wall made it depressing to open the drapes. However, the service was great and for a one night stay we were satisfied.

The stay was fine. Only big complaint was that the pillows on the bed had different peoples hair on it. Luckily there were extras that were clean, but definitely not cool.

All staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, and the bed was comfortable. Walls are thin. The rooms are very dated.

Pleasant and welcoming reception, quiet and comfortable room, adequate breakfast, heated outdoor pool was clean and inviting. Handy location near airport and in the easy access town of Sidney BC. I would stay again, no question.

I have stay at this hotel on a couple of other stays and have always found it to be a pleasent stay. there have been some recient update to the hotel and I found it to be an improvement to the hotel . The staff were very pleasent and efficient. I would recommend it to friend and family as it is close to all business ,airport and tourist attractions […] . Les mer

We enjoyed staying in this hotel in Sidney, BC. We just came to Sidney to relax and the close grocery stores & restaurants were perfect for us. It's close enough to walk to the ocean front which we love. It was in a perfect location for anyone wanting to catch that early flight out of Victoria. We left very early, but the muffins and things were already out there for guests - pretty impressive seeing that we left at 5:30 am! It has a free shuttle to and from the airport, another bonus. We stayed at this hotel during July 2012. The hotel is extremely close to both the airport and the ferry port both of which we used during our stay which was our main reason for staying at the hotel. The room was clean,comfortable and quiet, breakfast was basic but plentiful. Service was good, we had a problem with the hairdryer and a replacement was […] provided straight away.We also used the hotel transport to get to the ferry port. Local buses to Victoria were only a few blocks away with the journey taking about 45mins. Surrounding town had some good stores and a selection of restaurants, cannot comment on quality or affordability of food however as didnt use them. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to do a flying visit of the Island and wishing to use the airport and the ferry. Les mer

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay very much, staff was very friendly and helpful and the pool area was very nice and easily acsessable and We would stay there again and again.

We stayed in this hotel for 10 days. The first week for a Womens institute convention ,, four of us in the room so space was limited. IPlenty of room when the gals left and my husband and I were there...The hotel has a heated outdoor pool, well kept. Most of the staff were friendly and several were outstanding ..like Chris at the front desk and the […] gal serving us at breakfast from Halifax!!.. The shuttle service great...free but tips appreciated.Convenient to both our conference venue across the street and an excellent Charles Dickens pub next door ... Sidney by the sea....what a lovely spot... lots of things to do and see and shopping .. for books, clothes etc all very handy.Even though the basic room not spacious and the breakfast ok I would go back in a heartbeat.... Public transit close and inexpensive and only a half hour into the interesting and beautiful city of Victoria...Cleanliness and convenienc are the operative words to describe this Travelodge. This is a excellent location with all the amenities close by. The early continental breakfast was great and would have Ben nice if the shuttle service startted at 5:30 rather than 7:00 am

Beds were good, location to airport good. Didn't really used any services of the hotel. Checked in on line so was all good to go. Easy, quick and had a good sleep.

We cannot thank the staff enough for their help and support. This is the place to stay when you get a flight out or in Victoria. We missed our flight and had to wait 2 days to fly out. Size of room ( with 2 Queen beds) was on the small size. There was not enough space on the floor to open a suitcase, unless it was on the bed , or in the luggage rack. Fridge was not turned on. I asked for a wake up call that never happended. Thank-goodness I had an eye on the clock in the wee hours of the morning, or I woud have missed our flight. […] I gathered I was in the 'old' section of the hotel. we stayed on the 2nd floor, it needs a update. They have painted over the wallpaper, small holes in bathroom wall. Window sills are dirty. I would not go back, the pictures they have on web site are nothing like the room we got. Thank-you for the email

The hotel is situated close to the airport which was key for me; approximately 5-10 mins by car. There are a number of eateries close by and grocery stores and a liquor store as well. Staff were very helpful. Continental breakfast was available early for people travelling to the airport. Stairway upstairs reeked of smoke although the rest of the building appeared to be smoke free.

We wanted an economical hotel close to downtown Sidney and to the highway. Yes, no frills is what wanted and that's what we got. Except for noise from jets at the nearby airport that start at 7:00am it was not bad. The room was basic hotel and was average for most things like cleaniness, ammenities, etc. To be fair we stayed in the "older part" of the […] building. The trade for this was the best rate aroud for a room. Several good restaurants within walking distance and downtown shops too. THE BIG PLUS here was the front desk staff who dealt with a taxi issue on our behalf, recommended restaurants, plus a few other items. You may say this should be standard in any hotel BUT what we got without going into details was over and above a lot of chains and upper scale accomedations we have stayed at! Great job Kate! We stayed there with 2 small kids and had to make a 5am run to Victoria Airport. We found the staff to be very courteous and they even provided a Continental breakfast at 5am! The rooms were clean and comfortable. It's very close to Sidney so there are plenty of restaurants.

I stayed here for one night for business. It was close to where I needed to be for work, but that's the only positive thing I can say. It is run down, and needs a facelift and some serious updating. The continental breakfast was weak.

Every dealing we had with the front desk was extremely positive. Everyone working there was consistently friendly and professional. The room was comfortable for our one-night stay. The only complaints are that we kept smelling someone else's cigarette smoke (we were in a non-smoking room) and the wifi wouldn't work where we were. We were pleasantly surprised by the extra-helpful staff who helped us with computer problems and assisted with printing of boarding passes etc. The beds in our room were super-comfy. Can't beat the location across the street from the airport. The charming town of Sidney with its beautiful waterfront, shops and restaurants is well worth exploring.

This hotel suited our needs due to the convenience relative to the ferry to Anacortes. Unforunately we didn't allow time to visit Sidney, which seems to be a pleasant town.
