San Giorgio Hotel - Mykonos

If you are looking for a hotel near to Paraga and Paradise beach, then this is your choice. However, dont expect too much about the quality of hotel sevice and the cleaniness of the room. We were being served badly by the FEMALE staff at the reception. Once we get into the room, we found out that the room smells. My mum wanted to vomit once she get […] into the room especially the toilet. It is obviously the drainage problem and we want to change to another room. We cant change the room on the first night because they told us all the rooms are being occupied. On the next day, the maintenance guy told us there is no problem with the room and not willing to change for us. We argued with them for a while and finally they r willing to change. We changed to a higher floor and is not as smelly as the previous one but still the smell exists. If you really want to choose this hotel, dont get lower floors one! ESP ROOM 58!!!! REQUEST for second floor rooms. Other than the room smells, they did not do a great job in the maintenance part. The shower and basin are very dirty. With this price, i dont think this is a 5 star hotel. Not talking about the room, in overall the environment is very comfortable and very near to 2 famous beach. If u have more time, u should also visit SUPER PARADISE BEACH. This is the best beach with clear watr and without any rock. I totally fall in love with that beach. Last but not least, if u r not renting a car, i prefer u to stay in city centre because the bus to city centre is not that frequent and i think is not so convenient too. Les mer

A beautifully maintained and presented hotel. It was an absolute pleasure to stay here, sadly only for 2 nights. The hotel staff were lovely and very helpful with tracking down our lost luggage and undelivered ferry tickets. We were upgraded on arrival to a larger room with a huge balcony and veiws of both the sunrise and sunset. Awesome pool!!! Great […] veiws from the pool bar and only a 2 minute walk to beautiful Paraga Beach (with plenty of bars & restaurants), a 5 minute cliff top walk to the constant party at Paradise Beach and 80m to the bus stop into Mykonos Town (15 mins). Rooms are comfortable, very firm mattresses though and getting used to not flushing toilet paper is a little tricky! No free WiFi in the rooms which is a bit annoying but still recommend this beautiful hotel and already have to other travellers hopping the Greek Isles. Hoping to return to the San Giorgio one day! The Mrs and I were on our honeymoon, and this was the last stop on our Greek Isle adventure. We always email ahead a couple days before we arrive just to confirm (and hopefully get an upgrade). Upon walking in to the reception, they knew our names immediately, and upgraded us to an intermediate room. I guess the "economy" rooms are in the basement (beware). […] We usually don't book the lowest cost rooms as a rule, but after Rhodes and Santorini, we were trying not to break our banks. The staff were all great people, alot coming from Euro countries like Romania and Poland. The local staff was awesome too. Real people that don't candy coat their recommendations, and are ultra hospitable... we felt at home. My wife is Hungarian, and one of the staff was from Transylvania, so they were able to speak together in Magyar, which was a bonus for her. The pool was very nice. They have happy hour from 5pm-7pm, with nice discounts on drinks. The are beaches on both sides, which are both openly nude, but by no means is it a requisite. Paranga I'd say would be the better looking beach, but Paradise was nice too, just too loud. The difference was that you could buy cocktails and get free sun beds at Paradise... at Paranga, its about 12 Euros per chair no matter what time of day or how long you stay. There is a frequent bus to take you into town, so don't rely on expensive taxis. San Giorgio also has a shuttle to and from the airport or harbor... just remember to book it in advance of your arrival. We didn't even have to ask for our ride to the airport at the end of our stay... they were so on top of things. Beautiful views, traditional Greek architecture, and awesome staff. Watch out for the mosquitoes though. They are pretty prevalent on Mykonos... nothing to do with the hotels review.. just a note to carry protection. Les mer

Verry nice hotel, very clean, the pool is very beautiful and staff verry friendly. The only thing is that it is beetween paradise beach and paraga beach which are party beaches. we did not know about that, so we went and it is a bunch of kids partying like spring break. If it is what you are looking for, perfect location and beautiful hotel. Also it […] is very close to bus station and 10 minutes bus ride to the city. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay - but only because they put us in a better room on our last day. If it wasnt for this, the review would be pretty bad! When we got there, they told us the room we booked is 'underground level'...it may sound OK at first...but after staying there we realised it posed many problems! We killed 15 mosquitoes within […] the first 2 hours. And I found the bathroom very claustrophobic, stained and mouldy - I think these underground rooms must have problems with proper ventilation. The 2 single beds were very uncomfortable as well. Luckily, they moved us on the last night as we couldnt stand the mosquitoes anymore - we are extremely grateful for this - as it turned our perceptions around immediately. Room had a better bed, much better ventilation and the bathroom was cleaner (still had stains but bearable). Location was good because we could walk to Paradise Beach and Paragua Beach. And heading into town was easy via bus which was just down the road. Les mer

Only shortcoming was the comfort of the bed (not bad but not US standards) - but the location is awesome, the price is reasonable, and the full breakfast is really well done, and a beautiful, beautiful location.

The hotel is really well placed for at least 3 beaches paradise, paraga and a walk round the coast to a much larger beach with good restaurants, staff are helpful, it is well presented and has a Greek boutique feel. Paradise is noisy but at night with air con and the doors shut you barely notice it, Mykonos town is a 10 minute taxi ride, but its cheaper […] and easier to hire a quad bike. Breakfast is a good choice and we had a fantastic time! i would recommend the hotel it is not 'boutique' in the sense of Paris, London and Berlin! but for a Greek island it is clean,imaginatively presented and makes for a really enjoyable stay! Its expensive in High season (august) but to be honest so is the whole of Mykonos, if you are on a budget, any of the other islands other than Santorini will definitely offer more value for money. A decent hotel if it was cheaper (or not in peak season maybe). But for stays of multiple days there is no variety at the breakfast, the rooms are cleaned well but old inside. Overall this hotel is pretty good, but not fantastic. More of a 3 star hotel masquerading as a 4 star hotel… The hotel is serviceable, but the rooms need an update: beds not particularly comfortable, showers not consistent and TVs ancient. The manager’s kids jumping the queue at the bar were a particularly annoying addition. But I must say, to it’s […] credit, the hotel is in a great location with very good clubs, beaches, bars and restaurants all nearby. Lovely hotel. Friendly staff. More up market than the other places on the island. In between the best clubs on one beach and another beach for chilling out. Two brilliant restaurants within 5min walk (Nikolaus and Santana). In short: chilled and excellent quality hotel in a great location.

Extremely good service-they catered to my needs as if I were in a 5-star hotel. The owner made an effort to personally greet me during my stay and helped me reorganise travel when my ferry was cancelled. Hotel and room were in pristine condition. The proximity to the beaches were unbeatable (2 min walk to Paraga, 5 min to Paradise). The food was good […] and the chef was accomodating to individual needs. la ubicacion es muy buena, cerca de las playas y a una distancia de 20 minutos en auto al centro. la habitacion es normal, las instalaciones y vista desde el hotel es muy buen. Tiene una piscina muy linda.

We literally fell in love with Mykonos and San Giorgio contributes to this love story! Great location, amazing pool, great food, great view, great staff... Mykonos I love you but you are brigging me down!

Esta alejado del centro, pero a metros de 2 playas hermosas. El hotel y la atención son muy buenas. Vale la pena.
